As in the name, the View of the coastline is beautiful anytime of day. They have nice light menu for lunch. We heard the Makai Salad was the favored item to order. It's true! Large chunks of Lobster, Scallops and Shrimp, and fresh cuts of Mango and Papaya with Lilikoi Dressing. Healthy and Delicious! Coriander Seared Ahi and Citrus Grilled Shrimp are also good choices.

This is a four season's restaurant so obviously it's beyond amazing. BUT if you're trying to decide if you want to eat lunch here or at the main buildings know that this is absolutely 100% worth stopping by just ask the front for a drive! It's 1 min away and GORGEOUS. The food is unbelievable of course. We had the crab tempura starter, prawn BLT, and burger and all were to die for. They named this place perfectly- go enjoy the views!!!

This is the only Four Seasons restaurant at either resort location on the island where you can dine without staying at the resorts. We made advanced reservations and had a nice table with a view of Sweetheart Rock. We had fantastic service, although our server, Cathy, greeted us with Mr. and Mrs. [my last name] because I made the reservation ... so we tried to explain that we have different last names ... I guess if you run with the posh crowd you are used to this sort of greeting. But Cathy was a tremendous server, anticipating our every need. Very friendly and gave great menu recommendations. Again ... the posh life! We enjoyed both cocktails and mock tails, as well as the tortilla salad and the prawn BLT (a perennial menu item). It was a fabulous lunch.

Decided to take a day trip to Lāna'i for the day from Maui. We went to the Views for lunch and everything was incredible. The view of the ocean was amazing, the staff were very nice, and the food was delicious! Best fish and chips I have had in a long time.

Did a day trip to Lanai from Lahaina. Figured we eat at Four Seasons for lunch. Was able to make reservations at the View. It's a long trek from the beach but when we got to the hotel- they transported us up to the View at the golf course. Giving them a good tip- they said to call shuttle to bring us down. The restaurant has amazing view of Hulopoe bay and beach. Service is impeccable!!!! The drinks and food were very good- they give you big servings. My son enjoyed his fish and chips. Poke and beet salad is delicious. Great flavors on fish tacos. Totally a hidden gem. Highly recommend. FYI was able to show at the golf store while waiting for our shuttle.

Views at Four seasons Manele is a beautiful restaurant over looking Manele golf course. The food was terrific and the bread sticks are very good! The ice tea hit the spot on the hot summer day golfing. The golf course is something with amazing views of the ocean.

When you're on Lāna'i, there aren't many places where you can go to have a nice sit down restaurant like on the other islands so this place is one of my go to when I've go home and visit for a few days. We also like bringing friends and family when they come to visit Lāna'i. When it comes to what's on the menu, there aren't much to choose from, but I've basically tried majority of what's on the menu and from my taste buds and from my family and friends, this place offers delicious meals. I always gravitate to the fish and chip which is three big mahi mahi fillets in beer batter on top of a generous amount of fries. I like it because the pieces are huge that I always end up sharing. It comes with tartar sauce and a side of vinegar. Other favorites are the spicy ahi sushi rolls, which is my mom's favorite, the makai salad and the prawn B.L.T. Another reason why we love going here is because of the VIEW!! It's not called the VIEW at Manele Four Seasons for nothing. This restaurants offers a panoramic view of the pacific ocean to the right, Hulopoe Beach to the left and Sweet Heart Rock in the background. You are also able to see Haleakala in the distant and one a clear day, are even able to see Mauna Kea. So if you're ever on the island of Lāna'i and want a refreshing, quick bite by the ocean, this place is worth checking out!

Service wasn't that great and we waited a long time to get serviced and receive our food, even though it was really slow. Most of the food was okay. The hibiscus drink was great as well as the sushi roll! It was an experience but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone.

The communication with Sensei before and during our trip was terrible and pretty much non-existent. We stay at Four Seasons resorts often and never have I had an issue with communication like Sensei. The massage tables had cheap sheets that were scratchy; not what I would expect for a $700 massage. The room temperature never got below 70. The miso cod at the restaurant was extremely fishy tasting and not fresh. Pretty disappointing for such a pricy place.

We ended up staying in the Kaiholena Suite, and loved the balcony, bathrooms and living room with the games, very large screen TV, and comfy sitting areas for working and relaxing. I really liked the beautiful chess set which we made use of. The Sensei team was amazingly attentive, addressing all of our needs, and making us feel completely welcomed. Everyone from the front desk, masseuses, transportation, restaurant staff and everyone in between, we greatly appreciated their kindness and service. Special thanks to Elliott who assisted us with a minor thermostat issue in our room which was resolved without issue. Sensei by Nobu was a wonderful dinner with a relaxing ambiance and delicious entrees and desserts. We opted for a custom massage, snorkeling, and some hale time, well worth booking ahead of time, thanks to the wonderful Sensei experience team. Everything was seamless, from the transportation from Lana'i air to the resort, transportation to the snorkeling experience from the lobby, shuttle service to the other resort for dinner, to checking out and departing at the end of our stay. We loved the library and spent some time playing billiards and shuffle board. Some favorite things about Sensei vs the Four Seasons beach resort (based on my observations: -Slower pace overall -Mostly adults, no kids under 16 -Feels geared more towards relaxation and wellness experiences -Still have access to the beach resort via the shuttle that runs every hour -Feels more like a tropical hidden getaway Pros: Exceptional staff, gorgeous well kept garden and grounds, delicious restaurants and food options, beautiful suite, and seamless transportation. Cons: Having to leave.

Their suites are spacious and the lanai is perfect to watch sunsets every night. The pools are crowded and I did not use them but I did like the beach and service throughout the hotel. Plenty of restaurants on site. Self parking is free and plenty so valet isn't necessary. My advice is to call the concierge before you arrive and book the complementary canoe ride as it gets filled fast. I called them from LA 2 weeks before arriving and got the last spot. It was one of the highlights of my trip! If you like great service, amazing views and like staying in South Maui, this is one of my favorite hotels there. I will definitely be back!

If you're a couple and you are there for more than two days you'll appreciate the ability of the early riser to get up, make some coffee and hang on the lanai without disturbing the one of you who likes to sleep in. The bathroom was large and luxurious and supplied with really nice Le Labo soaps, shampoos and lotions. In addition, the property is immaculate and the public spaces are beautiful. There are three attractive pools -- one of which is adult only and there's a beach with attended lounge chairs at the bottom edge of the property. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which had a wide assortment of choices that were nicely prepared. A downside of the hotel is that they host a number of corporate events and it can sometimes feel a bit crowded. Many mornings during our stay, there was a good size line at the host's station to be seated for breakfast. And once we were seated, navigating the buffet stations was a bit hectic. Similarly, the lounge chairs on the beach are within inches of each other. When sitting on your lanai, the music from one corporate cocktail event or another provides the soundtrack for the evenings. And one final nit -- the Nespresso capsules in the room were very nice, but the coffee served at breakfast was abysmal. So don't get me wrong. This is a very nice place and we had an enjoyable stay. But if you're sensitive to having your own space most of the time, this might not work for you.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and hardworking. We explored many other hotels while we were on Maui, and honestly, none of them compared to Grand Wailea. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, expansive, and classic. I don't agree with the reviews saying it feels run down. It isn't ultra-modern, but it has a grand, timeless, classic resort feel. The beach out front is amazing. We explored a lot of beaches on Maui, and I never found one I liked better than the beach at Grand Wailea. The resort itself also feels unmatched in size and beauty. No other hotel we saw had the same expansive grounds, pools, landscaping, and overall resort feel. That said, the biggest downside was how much everything felt overpriced. I understand Maui and luxury resorts are expensive, but Grand Wailea sometimes felt like it was nickel-and-diming guests. Valet parking is $75 per day, and when you add in tipping every time you retrieve a rental car, it gets frustrating fast. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, valet was also very slow. One night we waited over 25 minutes. The valet staff were clearly working hard, but they seemed understaffed for the volume of guests. The food pricing was also hard to justify. At the marketplace/counter-service options, we saw coffee for $7.50, hot dogs for $26, hamburgers for $32, and 12-inch pizzas around $30. You also often have to wait in a long line, and if one person is making coffee drinks, it slows the entire line down. Olivine looks beautiful, but the prices were extremely high, including a personal sausage pizza for $38. Considering the mixed reviews, we could not justify eating there. While we were there for over a week, the resort restaurants looked quite empty every day. I truly think if the restaurant prices were even 30% lower, many more guests would stay on property to eat instead of walking across the street to places like Manoli's or Island Gourmet. The pool area was beautiful, and we appreciated little touches like seeing free pineapple passed out at the pool one day. The idea was nice, although the execution could have been better since the server was putting wet pineapple chunks directly into people's hands. We also wish the waterslides stayed open later, especially for families. Grand Wailea does offer free Nespresso coffee in the room, which is nice, but after seeing one too many social media videos about people misusing hotel coffee makers, I personally can't bring myself to use in-room hotel coffee machines anymore. One extra service I would gladly pay for is a paid hospitality suite or shower room option for guests with late flights. So many flights out of Hawaii leave late at night, and after checking out in the morning, it would be incredibly helpful to have a clean, comfortable place to shower and freshen up before heading to the airport. Overall, we loved Grand Wailea and would absolutely recommend it. The staff, room, beach, pools, and grounds were wonderful. I don't understand all the bad reviews because our experience was very positive. The resort is beautiful and memorable. My only real complaint is that the food, coffee, parking, and extras are priced so high that it pushes guests away from spending money on property. Full restaurants would be more profitable than beautiful restaurants sitting empty.

Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. Along with the rosters, there were hens, turkeys, peacocks and a few cats that stopped by during the week. Grocery shopping was done in Kaunakakai, 20 miles away at Friendly Market or Misaki's. Prices were expensive but that was to be expected. We also got some local food from people selling on the street. The laulau was amazing. The bread from Kanemitsu's Bakery was amazing and affordable. We got engaged here and have returned multiple times over the years, making countless memories. As a loyal Marriott member, I always looked forward to coming back. Unfortunately, this most recent stay left us feeling like the resort has lost the charm and hospitality that once made it so special. For the price guests pay to stay here, the experience simply does not match the cost. What stood out most was the apparent difference in how guests are treated compared to locals utilizing the pool and resort amenities. As paying resort guests, we often felt like an afterthought rather than valued customers. The pool and food service experience was particularly disappointing. The wait staff consistently came across as rude, rushed, and uninterested in providing the level of service you would expect from a luxury resort. While I don't place all the blame on the employees themselves, they appeared overworked, understaffed, and unsupported by management. When employees are not set up for success, it inevitably impacts the guest experience--and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. Another odd aspect of the property is the collection of independent shops operating within the resort. Multiple times we were reminded that they were not affiliated with the hotel, which created a fragmented and somewhat uncomfortable experience. Rather than feeling like part of a cohesive luxury resort, it often felt like a collection of separate businesses sharing the same property. What makes this so disappointing is knowing what Turtle Bay used to be. It once had a unique, relaxed Hawaiian charm that made it worth returning to year after year. Today, it feels more like a tourist-focused revenue machine than the welcoming destination we remembered. For a resort carrying the Ritz-Carlton name and commanding premium prices, we expected much more. Sadly, after this visit, we don't feel any desire to return. It's unfortunate to say, but the memories we have from previous visits are far better than the experience we had this time around. I truly hope management takes a hard look at the guest experience and works to bring back the hospitality and character that made Turtle Bay such a special place in the first place.

The entire property is stunning EXCEPT the old tiled walkway to your room with a rolled out carpet runner. That was the only part that was like "finish the design job please" but I get it, #budgets. The room itself is totally fine but walking to the room I was surprised considering how flawlessly stunning, modern and upscale the rest of the grounds are. The valet and reception staff are beautiful, elegant, friendly, upscale. Borrow a cute Mauna Lani bike for free and ride over to the market or the Fairmont for some daytime snorkeling. The gym is well appointed and has a great water machine. The breakfast buffet is well worth the $60pp value. I think I ate enough sashimi to shut up about sashimi prices for a while. Their açaí bowl with house made granola is to die for. Most memorable was making friends with Viola, Hawaii's most valuable Tutu (grandma) at Halani. Her aloha spirit just blessed our entire trip with sunshine and love. I also got to meet Les from the kitchen at Halani and learn about Taro farming! I will forever consider them my new friends from the islands.
