We've ordered from viking several times with success. we did have a mix up once and viking corrected it right away.

We order from Viking Food often. There was only one time when we paid extra for a side order and did not receive it, but we were still charged for it. I emailed Viking Food twice to request a credit or refund, and never did receive a response. Other than that, the food and delivery times have been great. read more

My family and I spend about 7-8 months a year in LA, so I may be totally skewed as to what good food delivery is. We are generally waiting 80 minutes for a restaurant 3 miles away. When we are in Bellingham we only have one car, so this place is a life saver when one of us is home watching the kid and the other is out or vice versa when one of us is home working and the other is out with the kid. Blah blah blah. Enough talking. This place is super f-ing fast, affordable (and we live outside of town) and easy to use. It's a standard delivery fee and then whatever you wish to tip. In the city, its usually that plus a percentage of your order. Highly recommend if you can't get out of the house, or have nothing to cook. Just wish they had even more restaurants. read more

Ordered a bacon burger from Bob's Burgers through the Viking Food app. I placed the order at 10:13 and it arrived by 10:35 at the latest. I paid about $25 and included a good tip. I was disappointed with the quality of the food I received. The fries were nearly inedible. They were dry and tough, and cold on the inside. The bag they came in was strangely wet. The hamburger bun was inedible because it was so chewy and sweaty I couldn't even bite off a piece. It seemed like my meal had been cooked and then sat under a heat lamp and sweated for a couple hours and then delivered to me. I ended up eating the hamburger innards and tossing the rest. After several calls to the owner about noise complaints of a driver playing excessively loud music back and forth in front of my residence, nothing was done and the owner said I can "do what I need to do" and call the police if I felt I needed to but he would not be taking action. I think that's a terrible response and will never use the business, nor will I advise anyone else to use it! Which is unfortunate as I and many of the people/friends I know love to support local business. read more

My family LOVES Viking food. They are always so much quicker than expected and have fantastic customer service! You can get credit on your account for taking pictures of your food, if they like it and use it you get a CREDIT! It's so awesome! Also, I had a mishap with an order and they called to apologize and refunded my money. I am so impressed with this company and their quality of service! I highly recommend using them if you're a lazy bum like me or can't drive to pick up food. Love love love Viking Food! read more

All I have to say is viking food is one the greatest ideas ever!!! When i'm busy at night with homework or don't have the time to go and grab some food, they seriously save my night. It's kind of hit or miss with Viking. The last two times I've used this service, I had them deliver to my work. The first time it was great! Right on time, and the guy was so nice! The second time, however, was horrible. It was supposed to take 25-35 minutes. But it ended up taking over an hour. And he took literally 45 minutes just to get to the restaurant! When he arrived, he said nothing. No apology. No explanation. I'm not sure if I'll ever order from Viking again. read more

THE worst customer service I have ever received! I work in the food industry, the customer is 'typically' always right, right? So our order said it would take 50 minutes, which is fine... 50 minutes into it we got a call that the driver took the wrong order and it would take longer than expected.I'm sorry but having to wait an extra 40 minutes for our food because not only the delivery person but the restaurant messed up on our order and having to pay for it makes no sense to me. YOU made the mistake and we would of gone out to eat seeing that it would of taken the same amount of time if not more sitting here. To top it off, I was extremely polite to our driver saying it wasn't her fault, we eventually signed to not have any more tension and she yelled that they didn't need customers like us. I love this company. Love their concept, their execution, just yes. They provide a much needed service to Bellingham and they're adding our favorite restaurants. I really dig that they offer such a great variety. Want Indian? They got it. Want Thai? Got it! Want old fashioned 'murican food? Yup, got that too! The only downside is that they do charge a $3.99 delivery fee which for some, can be a bit steep. But you shouldn't order from here if you want cheap (poor quality) food, there's other options (like Domino's). read more

I use Viking all the time and all though I feel it's not all there fault, communication certainly failed. We called in for a delivery and an hour later I get a call it will be 20 min longer. One hour later I get another call saying it will be aother 20 min. Well guess what it was another hour later before our food arrived. Thanks for knocking off the delivery fees, but that really didn't make up for 2 hours of waiting and not knowing what was going on and being misinformed. Not to mention the Horseshoe was rude to our delivery driver and I felt extremely bad for her. So what a disappointment on the Horseshoes service and Vikings communication. read more

Received inedible food delivery. Restaurant said to contact viking food for refund. Viking Food refused to issue a refund due to cash payment. I even offered to drive to Viking Food to resolve the issue, and my gesture was quickly declined. Slow service resulting in cold food. read more

Horrible customer service and shady practices. My card was charged twice several hours after my order was completed. No explanation as to why, they just took money out of my account. I will be disputing this with my bank, but this is the last straw. Orders arriving late, unable to get a hold of anyone in their office and when you do they are very unprofessional! On top of all that the food is heavily marked up. I would not recommend using this company to anyone, it would be cheaper and less hassle to just get the food yourself! This business is ridiculous. Great idea but poorly executed. Their pricing is asinine (their prices are much higher than the ones from the restaurant you are choosing to order from)--$5 for a thing of 4 oz. guacamole from Casa Que Pasa and $15 for a salad from Avenue Bread? You might as well just go to the restaurant than deal with Viking Food. I literally paid $6 for a supposed meal-sized salad that was (no joke) two handfuls of lettuce with some cheese and croutons. And with their $4 delivery charge and the tip that I feel reluctant to give, I paid more than $18 for two of those salads. I don't feel like the restaurants are really to blame, I feel like this business is just shady and miscommunicates with customers and restaurants alike, as most of these restaurants have great service and value. The drivers show up looking high (not always just a marijuana-looking high) or sketchy usually delivering incorrect items. If you go to their site they have a sidebar with all of the "comments" customers have given but don't be fooled. After you order there's a chance to leave a comment (before the food arrives, NOT after) so I'm sure most people are thrilled and excited while leaving comments, and then their food shows up and its a different story. Any feedback on their site is not feedback given to them after orders have been delivered. Basically, don't use their service. Huge waste of money and time. read more

If I could give you no stars I would. I placed my order very clearly on your website. You delivered it wrong and them would not return my calls. The v restaurant called you to make things right and you were rude to them. You then sent a driver at 9:00 pm with the correct food....three hours later than dinner time after I said not to resend it. Shame on you and your terrible customer service. Regular user of Viking. Am so impressed by all areas of service! Today's order required the "extra mileage" fee, and within seconds of placing order, had a call making sure I was aware of fee. Today, hapened to have a new(er?) driver who sent some "mixed" messages on delivery. (At restaurant, driver headed your way, then at restaurant). I called to see what was happening (wasn't longer than estimated time, was just confused) and cust service offered to waive mileage fee. I said I was just confused, but appreciate customer service that offers benefits when none are being asked for, so I declined offer and paid mileage fee. VIKING needs to stay! Great service & great cust service! (Oh, and driver was awesome! Super friendly and awesome.) read more

After several complaints about delivery driver playing music too loud late at night the owner was unresponsive.

As a cook from one of the restaurants featured by Viking Foods, I wish to enlighten current and future customers about a couple of facts. First of all, restaurants hike up their prices to offset the percentage that Viking takes, so you are paying more for the same product on top of the delivery charge. Second, Viking drivers DO NOT TIP the cooks at the restaurants. Let me elaborate, you spend years of training to prepare delicious food and someone with a GPS and license gets all of the tips. read more

A joke of a company, ran by kids and people with dead end jobs. This business not only uses businesses as a means to survive they also have no ambition to strive for any sort of excellence in customer service, not only are they often late, they are often stoned, red-eyed dope faced, twice I had ordered and the guys had food on their faces, bags looked untied, I suspect they have been eating my food...In fact one of them had the same rice on his cheek from my meal, and the bag had rice in the bottom. For some reason the phone number is out of order and "currently not excepting call at this time". Everything seems so wishy washy and unorganized. The idea is great however, there are probably people that could do better. I have decided that I will just order from my favorite restaurant, take it to work, reheat it it at lunch time; that is the level of tired I am with this place, I would rather eat my food microwaved. Don't get me wrong, the drivers have been great but the business? ehhh, I'll just say that even a broken clock is right twice a day. I ordered Chinese, supposed to be here at 6:20, at 6:45 the driver shows up with a bag of dripping soup. I sent it back for a refund and there office called to state that its not there fault ( the late part of the dripping bag?). When I told him that i just wanted a refund, the guy said fine and hung up. I posted a poor review on there comment page only to receive a heckling phone call back!!! I was told I "don't seem to know how things work"!!!! I saved the call should a mgr or owner wish to hear how his employes speak to the costumer, and a first time costumer at that! read more

Last night I called their phone line eight times over the span of an hour and nobody picked up the phone not once. When I HAVE ordered from them in the past, the service is sloppy, and it takes forever to arrive. On top of that, their prices are F*!@ing outrageous. A $4 delivery charge?
