I am pretty disappointed when I ordered the BLT advertised as served on house made Focaccia. And honestly the combo makes the $21 price tag worth it. But the BLT was not served on focaccia, instead a standard bread. Yet we received no heads up. Again, it was great but why was there no disclaimer? Definitely would not have ordered it had there been transparency because it doesn't feel worth it. Drinks: standard cocktails but really good. Definitely worth a try. Got here early for the Bellingham location. Cute but small cafe dining area. Ordered the "croissant French toast" which is really a cinnamon roll in the French Toast style but baked. Came with fresh berries and whip. Ordered sausage and egg on the side with a 16 oz latte. Everything was excellent, a little more "done" than I would have liked but it seemed to work somehow. I ordered the Bakery "Best Benedict" and it lived up to the boast. All breads and pastries are made from scratch and the English muffin was phenomenal. (In most places the muffin is an afterthought.) My cappuccino with breve was expertly made and had that wonderfully sweet taste from the steamed breve, not bitter. The service was polite and knowledgeable of their menu, naturally boastful of their made from scratch offerings. The pastries are phenomenal! I had the cinnamon roll. The dough quality was quite good and there was some caramelized sugar on the bottom which I like. I could not find any evidence that cinnamon was actually used in making this pastry. The icing overwhelmed the flavor so much that it should more aptly be called a vanilla roll. read more

Came in to do some reading with my husband on our little getaway and opted to share a ham & gouda croissant with a fruit galette, which were very good. The pastry case in the front definitely called our name and although the menu items looked good, the pastry items were too good to pass up. Decent coffee and wonderful service! I ordered a simple drip and our waiter was joyfully refilling my cup. My husband ordered the Moliere - their famous Mount Bakery mocha made with Belgian Chocolate Ganache and topped with whipped cream. We came in this past Sunday for some brunch to their downtown location. We were able to get a seat right away as there was a lot of snow outside. The waitresses that served us were delightful-they had great recommendations. We started off with some coffee and a seasonal cocktail, the Misanthrope. While we waited, I enjoyed looking at their fabulous art! I ordered the Blackstone Benny-applewood bacon, spinach, and black pepper upon some freshly made focaccia, complete with roasted potatoes. Their eggs are perfect, the hollandaise was light, and the focaccia was freshly made. This was mouthwateringly good and the perfect portion size-I was able to finish my plate without feeling too full. They have plenty of wonderful pastries and goods to go as well! Mt. I ordered their breakfast sandwich with Apple wood bacon on wheat bread and my S.O. ordered the same thing but with sausage and on sour dough bread. I've dined here a couple times, the food is fine enough. However the service is not great. The first time was initially great with one high energy and outgoing man, but then I guess he left for the day and a young gal took over. She didn't check on us very much. It also took a really long time to get a little side of toast for a hungry toddler. The second time it was also very slow. When we left we said bye and thank you, but she didn't even look at us or notice we were leaving. I would not go here again to dine. Very much enjoyed my breakfast here on a quick shopping trip to Bellingham this weekend! My family of four arrived around 8:10 and it was quiet so we were seated right away and ordered right away with so many delicious options to choose from. We ended up with one of their eggs benedict on a waffle with ham. This was scrumptious with plenty of hollandaise on a perfectly sweet and fluffy waffle base. The eggs were gooey in the centre and this all came with potatoes too! In addition we got two of their savoury crepes being the traditional breakfast which was stuffed with cheese, eggs and sausages well as their sausage crepe. Both came in large portions with a choice of side and being a veggie lover, I opted for a salad with one of them and it was pretty good! Lastly my eyes were caught by a cold turkey and gouda sandwich with cranberry relish. Even though it was 8am, my love for sandwiches persists and I was really happy I gave in. This had a nice mound of turkey slices on a soft and chewy honey wheat bread with greens, gouda, red onions and of course, the cranberry relish. The flavours blended perfectly together and it was healthy yet delicious. It was so big I only ate half too! I also grabbed a fruit cup to make it a "breakfast" and this was a bit expensive for what came to the table. A small bowl of cut up pineapple, strawberries and apples. Good but not worth the $4.50. Overall, a great choice for breakfast in Bellingham with really friendly and efficient service, tasty lunch AND breakfast choices and a lovely, homey environment. A bit loud inside, but cozy and the staff were very friendly. Quick to be seated, especially on a Sunday morning a bit late when other places around had wait-lists. We had their black coffee (pretty good for drip at a restaurant), and a latte (nothing special, just ok). For food we had the vegetable crepe (really good--included cauliflower and zucchini and it wasn't greasy) and the wild salmon benedict on a english muffin (muffin was thick! salmon was great, eggs and hollandaise were nothing to get excited over, and needed seasoning). We were divided on the potatoes both dishes came with: I liked them, but my partner did not; they were pretty standard diced potatoes grilled with some kind of light seasoning on them. Maybe nostalgia made them taste better to me :) We also had the Kouign-Amann pastry (warmed per staff suggestion) and it was quite good. If you want a quick breakfast at a sit-down joint and have tried some of the other places near-by already, this is a reasonable option. read more

Searching the internet for hours and location yielded interesting results. [Mt. Bakery] returned no restaurants at all. I wondered if my trusty search engine of choice AOL had finally failed me. I attempted my query in the more modern YaHoo! with equal results. After several minutes of confusion I typed [Mount Bakery] into the computer and my LED screen glowed with delight as the web search was successful. The information revealed they were serving full breakfast at their Fairhaven location. I looked forward to driving near the water to this stylish town center just outside of my hometown. Walking in the decor reminded of a German breakfast place from my past where by myself I thought fondly of a dark haired woman and our encounter the evening before. The waitperson greeted me with friendly eyes behind her pandemic protecting mask. My drink of choice was earl grey iced tea with SanPellegrigno Limonata to "spike" it with. This refreshment would be the highlight of the meal. Ordered the most famous crepe in the world, Crepes Suzette. One scrambled egg and a sausage. I first went for the single side egg I ordered while delicious, was from a small chicken. Should have ordered 2. Next up was the crepe. Prepared wonderfully with a nice crunch to edges. Unfortunately way too sweet for me. I attempted to dull it with the supplied dollops of whipped cream. Their galant attempt was in vein as the cane field of sugar could not be defeated. Took a stab at the sausage link. As I bit in there was a satisfying resistance then a wonderful snap in mouth as it gave way to my bite. Spicy? Sweet? Not really. Sort of an unexpected blandness fit for a rest home type taste. It was ok but not really what I look for in a side sausage. I do believe the Crepe Suzette was prepared accurately but I believe I should have gone for the Crepe with apple pear and brie. Don't worry Mount Bakery. I will be back. Sadly, the original eggs benedict was bland but beautifully plated. I wondered about this all the drive home. Hollandaise sauce is normally lemony pulling the eggs benedict together, but this sauce was plain and forgettable. The potatoes were also bland. Paprika looking seasoning didn't add anything to the dish beyond color. I am so disappointed. The eggs were perfectly cooked with slightly runny yolks. The London Fog (tea latte) was terrible. Husband's monte cristo crepe was good but had boysenberry preserves inside that he didn't care for. Honestly the food is not all that great and neither was the service. The eggs were served hard poached which is really odd for a place that serves several versions of eggs benedict. Once our food was served we didn't see our server again for 25 minutes and only then did they offer to refill our coffee. It was very slow and we were one of three tables. My wife and I were in town and stopped here for brunch. We were seated quickly and asked to provide vaccine status. That was fine and made us feel safer than a lot of places that are acting as if the pandemic no longer exists. The staff were also incredibly kind, and the service was five stars. My wife and I are both trans, my wife visibly so. Having staff be so kind and not act like anything is out of the ordinary with us is something we look for in a restaurant. It's not always something we find. My wife ordered the mushroom hash special, and I ordered the Monte Cristo Crepe with potatoes. The food was not quick, which was fine. We were not in a hurry. The food itself was okay. It was not great, and it was not bad. I am not sure I'd come back for the food, as it just wasn't memorable. My wife and I had to resort to texting to talk. We had been seated inside, and I think that might have been a mistake on our part. It was loud inside. It wasn't even packed, but the way the restaurant was arranged, it's just a loud space. My wife has a slight hearing deficit, and could not hear at all, so it was impossible to talk to her. The tables inside were small coffee shop tables. So we balanced the giant wine bottle of water between us, with our plates, the glasses, and all the other items on the table. It felt a bit crowded. The bathroom was a delightful, and super clean, unisex bathroom. In fact, I can't remember being in a restaurant with a bathroom this clean and well kept. In all, it was a nice experience. If you ever come here, do try their cinnamon rolls! It's not your conventional cinnamon buns, it has croissant aspects to it - it's flakey, warm, fluffy, and SO DELICIOUS! We got the Original Eggs Benedict, the Fruit Crepe, and a Classic Breakfast. The Original Eggs Benedict was awesome as it was served on a waffle rather than the usual english muffins, and the hollandise sauce went perfectly well with this waffle. The Fruit Crepe was generously loaded with an assortment of fruits, but I just think that crepe itself could be a little more thin (the batter was very thick). The Classic Breakfast had all the basics in it, and I must say, I really enjoyed the sausage that was included. :) I think that this is a hidden gem within downtown Bellingham, and definitely think it's worth a stop for their cinnamon rolls (just remember to ask them to heat it up)! read more
