Pizza

I had pizza from here years ago and it was very good. I can't say the same tonight. This pizza was by far the worst I've had. The crust was unbelievably disgusting. The sauce had no flavor, the meat (hamburger) had no seasoning. This was unbelievable and a bit embarrassing for me as a host serving this to my out of town guest.

Sauce is overtaking this dish. Way too much. And somehow, it's greasy. You can see the seasoning, but can't taste it due to too much cream.

Ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. Would not order it again, can't eat all of it. Not only was it a huge portion, which isn't so bad, but the sauce was a huge amount as well. My pasta was drowning in it. There was SO much cream in the sauce that it was so bland and flavorless. Even the chicken was flavorless, like it was boiled. Colorless, flavorless chicken. No flavor in any of this meal.

The rolls were heavy for their size and it was found that the insides were all unbaked dough.

My wife and I visited Villa Di Roma on February 13, 2020 approximately 5:30 pm for dinner. The restaurant is average in makeup and decor and there were 2 other tables besides us. We were met by our waitress who was friendly. The first part of our order besides sodas was the Super Combo appetizer that included fried cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, fried cauliflower, jalapeno poppers and fried ravioli. It came with a marinara and ranch type sauce. Not bad, tasty and warm. My wife ordered the lasagna with a small salad and I ordered the spaghetti Thursday Night special with a meatball and an extra sausage along with the Sicilian salad. My wife's salad came out first and she stated it was just a chopped salad with very bland tomato. Nothing extraordinary. My salad was delivered approximately 15 minutes later and included bits of processed ham, sausage, green olives, eggs and somewhere might have been the mozzarella cheese. I asked for Italian dressing and it came as a creamy dressing, although nothing I've tasted before as Italian. I would have thought Italian would have meant a vinegarette of olive oil and vinegar and spices. Pretty bland tasting and I could not even finish it due to the lack of flavor. My wife's lasagna was prepared deliciously, both in appearance and flavor. Her sauce was thick and the taste was flavorful. On the other hand, my spaghetti (see pictures) was plopped in a plate of watery, I'm thinking sauce?, but not quite sure. The meatball was tasteless and the sausage was like something I've never had before. The sausage was very heavy for its size and lacked taste and the texture was like an overcooked meatball. The spaghetti itself had an unpleasant taste that I would compare to weak dish soap with the same after taste. Now, please understand that I am second generation Sicilian, a former career firefighter that has done my share of cooking with Italian being my specialty and that I have reviewed many restaurants over the years. My past reviews can be judged by all who read this and you can individually determine my passion and palate for good food. I left three-quarters of my spaghetti along with my un-eaten salad. When the waitress came, she did not even ask how the food was and started to gather the plates. I asked her if she ever had the spaghetti and she replied "no". I showed her the watery sauce and she looked embarrassed. I also stated that I've had many Sicilian salads in my day and this was just a chopped chef salad. We also noticed on our bill that I was charged for my meatball, which should have been included with the special. But we know that she has no control over the food preparation, flavoring nor the presentation and it would be moot to heap that on her. Should we have asked for the manager or the owner? Maybe, but there were now three other tables in the restaurant and this did not need to be aired out loud. Am I looking for a comp meal or a free dinner? No, emphatically! If the food you create and serve to your patrons is what you deem the best you can deliver, then customers like myself should be able to call you out on the deficiencies. Maybe we should have looked at the previous reviews before choosing to dine at Villa Di Roma.

I just stick with the pizza, it's ok. I'd order it again but this isn't my top choice in pizza places.

We tried it a few weeks ago for the first time and my husband and son swear that this is the best pizza in town!! We went back again last night and had the same results! First time I had the Italian beef and it was flavorful and juicy but the bread... it was crusty and flaky on the outside and fluffy yet dense on the inside. The absolute perfect bread for a juicy sandwich. We also had the lasagna(which I believe is only available on the weekends) and it was fantastic as well. His Grandma's sauce is splendid('Mamma Gulotta's' sold at Woodman's). To top it all off, Nick Gulotta; the owner, chef, order taker, carry out worker(he does it all himself!!!), is just about the nicest person I have ever met. I know some very kind/caring people, but Nick takes the cake. I just can't believe how long it's taken us to try it but am so glad we finally did! Thank you, Nick!! We will keep on coming back as long as you're willing to make us pizza!!

Standing there was a silhouette of a man. We were wondering if they were open since we did not call ahead, but the hours stated open until Ten. To our surprise, the front door was locked, but then the gentleman of Zah Heaven opens the door and said how may I help you. Even though he started to call it quits after an unbelievably long day and evening at work, he open the door, turned on the lights, took our order and is making our pizza! This alone is a FIVE-STAR review!

We got our own little room that was just big enough for our booth for 5. Complimentary Bread was delicious Special salad that came with the meals was good- the little pieces of Italian sausage & slices of egg made it better. I had 1/2 lasagna & 1/2 mostaccioli- lasagna was large & delicious. Mostaccioli was just cheap pasta with red sauce dumped on it. Wife had a nice steak w/ a side of fettuccine Alfredo instead of potato that looked very good. Son had just lasagna & his full large portion was enormous but he ate it all. Another son had a fish dinner w side of Alfredo. The last son just ordered the fettuccine Alfredo & added 2 meatballs that weirdly came in a red sauce, he didn't care just dumped it right on top of his Alfredo. A nice touch was-Everybody gets a scoops of ice cream after dinner, they had 5-6 choices. Everything was good-very good I'd recommend the lasagna or fettuccine Alfredo definitely the salad & bread. Negatives would be the only phone reservations & the price is high for just noodles & sauce. Bill was $160 for 5 dinners & 3 lemonades. So after tip around $200
