The entrance was fantastic easy for disabled or elderly. No bushes for bees to harass you. Makes my family want to come back because unlike the rest of Bellingham this place is accessibility friendly. The patio doors didn't really need to be opened where bugs could come in. They had really good AC so it seemed odd all the doors were open. ‍ Now for the food. The bread was good the olive oil was high quality with fresh garlic. The salad was really good. However I got the prawn arancini & unfortunately I don't recommend it. The flavors were fine but it was the oiliest food I've ever had since I was a child. It was like the old school pizzas that you could ring the oil out of. I took it home & made a bowl of rice added lemon peel & lemon juice some basil & black pepper & it was 100% better. But at the restaurant they don't have that. I do plan on coming back to try other stuff because I honestly think it's going to be a fav place. The ambience is hard to judge cause there were only 3 tables when I went in. I didn't use the restroom so I have idea. Parking is fairly easy. I was there in the day so lighting was ok but I'm not sure about night.

The prices on the menu are 20% too low, and even more so if you do the American thing and are guilted into tipping extra. I will come here again when the dishonest pricing is fixed.

Hey, mambo, mambo italiano, Go, go, go you mixed up Bellinghambo…read more.. Um...sorry. I couldn't resist. But seriously, this place is awesome! The service was great and the food was fantastic. We had steamed clams for starters, as a daughter of a fisherman I can tell when seafood is truly fresh and these were fresh. I had the fettuccine con Pollo. It was very good. I'm going to regret it later...so much cream... my intolerance hates me right now. My husband had lasagna and he claimed it is the best he's ever had (I feel slightly disrespected now, because he always said mine was the best...grrrrrr). There's one dessert that my husband can not pass up no matter how stuffed he is and that dessert is Key Lime Pie and Mambo makes a mean one, so of course we split a slice. Now, I have had just about every key lime pie from Florida to Washington and even in Hawaii. This one was more like cheesecake than pie, that being said- it was pretty dang good. (I will really, really regret this later) Prices were on par with most restaurants in town, the vibe was rustic and casual, (love the booths). We'll be back, Hey, mambo, mambo italiano...

But that said, I will say this: *Atmosphere was Friday Night Busy, active and energetic, so our party was not the only one to be enjoying ourselves. *Menu is diverse and appealing. Our Kitchen Sink pizza was especially uniquely flavorful with no slices left to take home. *Prices are typical for 2026 fine eateries, so plan accordingly. (Otherwise, there's always a cheap pizza place somewhere that you'll regret later on while reaching for the antacid bottle...) *OF SPECIAL NOTE WAS THE WAIT STAFF ABBY!! She thoroughly took care of all our needs, especially my wife's food allergy issues. She went to the kitchen TWICE to ensure they could modify the selection she chose, without consternation or excuses. EXCELLANT SERVICE! Of special note: Abby is also the house baker, who created the recipe for the lavender lemon cheesecake we shared around. TOO TOO GOOD!! So, if you find I've used too many adjectives to show my appreciation for our dining experiance, you'll have to find out for yourself. BILL SEZ TWO THUMBS BIG-TIME UP. Check 'em out!

There was one waitress working when we got there with some patrons already dining. We had a pretty large group but she did amazing with being the only one waiting tables. Let me just say this. THEY HAVE THE MOST SCRUMPTIOUS CHICKEN WINGS. I can't tell you how many orders of chicken wings our table ordered because we just kept ordering more. The honey garlic and mango habanero were my favorite. Seriously, try their chicken wings. We also ordered pasta dishes and some other items which were all good but nothing compared to the chicken wings. We'll definitely be by if and when we make our way to Canada again.

I decided to try it on a Tuesday. Arrived during the hottest day of the year so far to find a nice cool, clean, classy interior. Was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me immediately. Restaurant was moderately quiet. Water and menu obtained, I perused the choices and decided Pizza was the thing. The pizza prices were a bit on the high side for a franchise place but the descriptions were promising with some interesting ingredients. Then I spotted it on the bottom of the menu...the Fig Pig. How could I not try it! About 15 minutes later it arrived, I took the first bite and Oh My Lord...when they redo the menu, it needs to be at the top. This is my new favorite pizza in Bellingham. Salty, crispy, meaty and sweet. It hits all the hot buttons. The crust is actually tasty, the pork is perfectly done. It was freaking delicious. Even better, once I finished half the pizza...it was that good...and a box and the check were delivered...the pizza was half off. I called the hostess over to ask if it was a mistake and she said all pizzas are half off on Tuesdays. I now know my Tuesday dinners. I've told a bunch of people now and will be taking my neighbors next Tuesday. Oh and turns out it's not a franchise but a family run restaurant.and it was staring me in the face the entire time. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger...I'll be back.

If you find yourself anywhere near the Tulip Festival, make sure this spot is on your list…read more During our weekend of tulip sightseeing, Stella Sopra ended up stealing the show. We came for the flowers, but this little food truck parked at Tulip Valley Winery delivered the kind of meal that sticks with you. There's something magical about pairing genuine, well-crafted Italian food with a flight of local wines. Chef Alberto runs the whole operation himself cooking, serving, sharing stories, and making you feel like you've been invited to Sunday lunch at his family's table in Italy. His passion shows in every bite. I've had plenty of eggplant parm over the years, but this one? Best I've ever eaten. Served in a simple plastic container yet unforgettable perfectly balanced sauce pasta cooked just right, and eggplant that was tender and full of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken mushroom ravioli, and I was tempted to sample half of it. Big, pillowy pasta filled with rich, savory goodness an absolute win! We also split a Caesar salad (because veggie balance is important) and ended on a high note with tiramisu. It was airy, creamy, and just espresso kissed enough to keep you going back for another spoonful. We lingered on the patio glass of wine in hand, soaking up the scenery and wondering how a food truck in the middle of tulip country had turned into one of our favorite dining experiences in ages. The Stella Sopra truck travels between Bellingham and Mount Vernon. If you see it parked anywhere don't overthink it. Order whatever catches your eye. You'll definitely leave happy.

We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess at a table in DT Fairhaven, and our server was the bartender. After being seated, we waited a long time without anyone taking our order. We eventually asked if we had a server and were told it was him, with no apology or explanation. We ordered drinks and food, but after more than 40 minutes, we noticed two tables seated after us had already been served, finished eating, and were leaving. At that point, we asked for the check and said we would not be staying. About 15 minutes later, the server returned with our food instead of the check. We declined the meal and sent it back. He then asked if we wanted it boxed to go, which we also declined. His reaction suggested frustration rather than understanding. We never got to try the food, so we can't comment on it. The service, however, was well below expectations given the restaurant's reputation. This was lunch on July 15, 2026. We may try The Black Cat again in the future, hoping this was just an off day.
