    Thoroughly enjoyed olives
    Cash L.

Absolute banger. Banger food, banger service, banger outdoor seating that does not smell like fish, and banger olives Dinner dining with the wife to be and we were going in hungry for Sicilian lamb meatballs. Upon further inspection of the menu we found some competitive options. To begin, it was quiet on Tuesday, almost too quiet. The server was chatty but looked like he had one too many shrimps on the wine tasting barbie, but he hadn't, that was just how he looked according to the missus. Rapid service though, and we decided on the olive plate for $11,000. Sorry 11 -typo. Siri erase that. Olives were delectable to preface our chicken parmagiano and saltimbocca Lots of meat on the plate which was good because it was $30. About one mouse's serving pasta however, but that's okay. I was already too full from the heavenly heaven sent olive oil and olives and foccacia which were more than enough. Everything seemed perfect save for a little distraction being a phone addicted child ruining the ambiance with his cocomelon and attitude. Quality location for a walk, a stroll even, for a romantic night out with the wife to be. We were absolutely satisfied with our visit and will come again next year maybe or whenever I want.

Nice and quiet at first sitting in the lounge area since the main dining area was closed--early dinner. It was a bit more noisy after the tables filled up but not bad at all. Quick service for ordering to receiving drinks. The food was fantastic tasting, hot and perfectly cooked. Coming back as soon as we can.

We visited for an anniversary lunch. We had high expectations as friends abs family love this place. Sadly, we found it very corporate and not warm and friendly.. maybe it's me and this is the vibe they are going for. The food was good but not great. I would have expected to be writing a different review .. the board out front stated "tomato" soup. I was served clam chowder.. which was good but again not great. What was great was the chocolate mousse dessert... the the waiter was very very good..but this place will not be our first choice for Italian in Bellingham...now we know. My daughter did say if you eat outdoors it is a whole different vibe.. we were there on a rainy day.

    Sicilian Lamb Meatballs

I enjoyed a delicious Sicilian Lamb Meatball dish here on a surprisingly busy Thursday evening. The dish itself was unique with an incredible amount of flavors, including grapes, oranges, tomato, onions, mint, figs, and pomegranates on top of plentiful lamb meatballs, completed by the garlic pappardelle nestled underneath. While the seating can be a bit tight, it creates an intimate dining setting with a gorgeous view of the water. The waiters were attentive without being overbearing, and kindly let us stay after closing time as we chatted the night away in the cozy restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a more upscale fine dining experience in Bellingham.

Menu item and description for Poached Cod Salad at $26.

Menu Item Not as Written The menu stated 'Poached Cod Salad, basted in warm butter,' (tasteless and half inedible/tough cod), baby greens (maybe 5% of salad was baby greens, the rest of the salad was Romaine.) The remainder of the salad was a written. When I mentioned to the server that the food was not as written, he offered me more salad dressing, but no other comment. Later I called the restaurant to give feedback about the meal, and was told there had been other complaints about the cod, yet they were going to keep it on the menu for another week. It would have been wonderful to be offered a gift certificate to regain my confidence in eating at Lombardi's again, but that never happened. I did not feel it was my place to ask; it should have been offered. Lombardi's has lost my business, and that of the person I was dining with. I used to really enjoy eating there.

This has become a favorite place of ours. They have earned a five star rating. Italian food as it should be. Outstanding service by Heather and Anthony in the bar area every time. Seven days a week they still have a great happy hour. Lots of scratch made pasta and sauce to match. Perfect setting sitting on the water... So thankful to have Lombardi's in Bellingham.

This is our go-to for a night out in Bellingham. The food and service have always been top-notch. The Sicilian Lamb Meatball pasta is one of the most unique dishes I have ever had, and is perfectly executed! I have also enjoyed the Tortellini with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce and the Shrimp Fra Diavlo. The best deal in town is their Italian Supper Club. Available Monday's 3pm to close and Tuesday-Friday 3-5pm. A 3-course meal for $27! They always have local beers and wines on tap (yes, wine on tap!). And check out their seasonal cocktails! Make sure to sign up for their VIP club so you will get emails about special events. We went to a brewery dinner there - the chef created dishes to pair with the beers supplied by San Juan Brewing. It was outstanding!

We love Italian food, So we decided on Lombardi's. We haven't been there since they opened up for in house dining. We love the decor and the water view. It's a relaxing atmosphere made me feel like I was in Italy. Our waitress Gwendolyn was outstanding, she was helpful regarding the menu I give her 5 stars for her service. I would have given 5 stars for our food, but only gave 4 stars because my meal was a little off. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiano and my Husband ordered the Roman Style Lasagna. The vegetables that came with my Chicken Parmigiano were done perfectly, the buttered Fettuccine was cooked to perfection. The flavors of the whole meal was delicious. But my breaded chicken medallion were over cooked. The beaded crust was over cooked which made the chicken dry and hard to cut into. All the flavors of the tomato sauce, parmesan and the buttered fettuccine was perfect. My Husband's Lasagna was the star of the day. It was truly delicious. The cream sauce and the combination of the tomato sauce was amazing. The portions of both meals were more than enough. We talked to our Waitress Gwendolyn about my chicken and she was so kind and was quick to rectify our meal. She was truly good at her job and we will totally return to Lombardi's. Lombardi's has one of the best views and flavors for Italian cuisine.

It's been a long time since I've seen one this creative and extensive. If I wasn't worried about falling over, I probably would have ordered one of everything . I had the Song of the Siren, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tart without being too sweet. I especially loved the hint of white balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly strong though, so one was plenty! My husband had Le Tigre, which had guava, passionfruit, pineapple, lime and Thai chili tincture. It had just a touch of spice and a really interesting combination of flavors. We both loved our drinks. For food, we started with the ribs and then ordered the pork belly bao buns and the hot noodle dish. The ribs were cooked really well and had a wonderful crispy/fried texture, but they were very lightly seasoned. If you really want to taste the meat, you'll probably love them. For us, they could have used a little something extra. A couple of fun dipping sauces, maybe something like a honey gochujang, would have made them amazing. Our waitress, who was extremely friendly, told us the hot noodles are one of their favorites. They weren't quite for us. There was definitely lots of flavor, but the sauce was pretty rich and dense and the dish had a good amount of spice. We each had about a bite and ended up packing the rest to take home. It sounds like it's a popular dish though, so I think this one is probably just personal preference. The absolute highlight was the pork belly bao buns. I was a little worried pork belly might mean a lot of heavy fat, but these were much more meat-forward, with the perfect crispness around the outside. The flavors were phenomenal and the bao itself was perfectly cooked. Definitely order these! Overall, really good food, wonderful service and one of the most interesting cocktail menus I've seen in a long time. We'll definitely be back.

However, we were both very pleased with the small plates that we shared: "asparagus" and "potatoes" with caviar. SMALL PLATES The asparagus looked like a salad but was a bit warm to our surprise. I enjoyed the different flavors put together, including some bitterness. My absolute favorite is the potatoes. We ordered it with caviar, which only cost $8 extra! CHARCUTERIE We ordered the imported charcuterie board for 2. It was presented nicely, but there was nothing to brag about other than that. The amount of food was right for 2, but it's because there's lot of bread but there's little cheese and cured meat. The quality of the cheese and the meat was just ok. COST We were shocked how inexpensive it was. We ordered 2 small plates, a charcuterie board for 2 people, a bottle of Spanish wine, a slice of olive oil cake, and 2 coffees. It all added up to only about $100. It's shocking as it includes a bottle of wine. The coffee was pour over, and they made one cup at a time, but it was only $3! CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM The small plates were excellent, but the charcuterie plate needs more work. There should be more cheese and meat both in terms of the quantity but also the variation (and less bread). CONCLUSION I will definitely come back here again for wine and a couple of small plates. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! We ordered a special cocktail "the persuasion," with earl grey vodka, calamansi, honey, and lemonade. It was good but a bit unbalanced. Too medicinal. Perhaps too much calamansi. My husband later ordered an old fashioned cocktail. It was good. For food we ordered the blue cheese dip, the pork chili verde & polenta, and a reuben sandwich. The food took a while to arrive. The server might have noted our anxiety because she asked if we had a show, noting the dip in particular might take a while. She was accommodating, bringing items out as they were prepared and supplying us with to-go boxes in case. The blue cheese dip came first. It came with potato chips and bread. It was tasty but a bit too salty. It was better with bread--the chips were a nice idea but it pushed the sodium level too high. Both entrees were delicious. We ate them in a rush (not everything got photographed). The atmosphere is nice. Perhaps a bit dated (i.e.,1990s), but nice. I think it would be a perfect date spot when you have the time to leisurely enjoy bites and drinks.
