YES, YES AND AGAIN YES!!!! We came here because I saw online that on Wednesdays they do a 8.99 burger WITH an egg on it! We were skeptical but wow were we pleasantly surprised!! My Husband has never had a burger with an egg on it and now this place has completely changed his mind!! One of the best burgers I've ever had!!! Jon was an awesome server!! Very attentive and on top of everything we needed!! This place used to be the old rock and brews, but I am so glad it changed to Villa Haven!!! Also(although I don't partake) It has a hookah lounge outside.!!!! Definitely come here if you're looking for a great burger!!! so excited to try what else is on the menu!!

Wow!! I had no idea this place existed so close! I just found out about this hidden gem because of the World Cup games. The atmosphere is amazing!! The food is good and the hookahs are flavorful! We made reservations as it gets crowded quickly and you don't want to miss any FIFA action. We enjoyed food, drinks and entertainment. Belly dancer and DJ on Saturday nights! Perfect for a night out, dinner or even to host a party! I highly recommend! Awesome staff! Definitely my go to hang out spot!

My family and I had a great time at this venue while watching the USA game! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food didn't disappoint. My beef kabobs were outstanding--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My son ordered the chicken kabobs and said they were good, though not quite as memorable as the beef. The rest of the group really enjoyed the beers and the variety of sauces. On top of that, the service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and fast. We had such a great experience that we're already going back again today!

    Hard Seltzer on tap

Hubby and I came here for drinks on a Saturday evening, as we've been curious about Villa Haven for a while now. It was not busy at all, maybe one other party at the bar and a family who was dining in. Our waitress/bartender was quick to serve us - but on round 2, we asked for the Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer that was advertised and she seemed lost. She asked if we wanted to try something else that wasn't a hard seltzer and we kindly declined. However, we noticed the Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer was on the side opposite of the fridge she opened. This seemed kind of disappointing that the worker didn't know where their own products were at. So we got the Hard Seltzer on tap (I think it was either Brewery X or Truly) and I got the Yuzu Lychee which was delicious. When it came time to pay our bill, there were now two servers at the bar, and 2-3 just standing around talking and not paying attention. No new parties entered while we were there - and it took forever to grab their attention that we wanted the check. I had to personally walk over to let them know. Yes, it may have been a bad day, but I feel it was slow enough to where we shouldn't have been ignored. I would probably give them another shot - as the Pineapple Margarita was really good. 3 stars for now - until next time. I hope to be able to update my review in the near future.

Has a big and pretty outside patio seating area. There's hookah smoking on the patio area. Inside looks like a large brewery. Has lots of TVs for watching sports. Good, friendly customer service. Has live entertainment some nights. They had a belly dancer and a DJ...the night I came. In my opinion, this place is a Mediterranean and American fusion type of place.

Tried the "Royal" Burger. OMG! it was perfect! cool sports bar vibe, plenty of seating, all the best beers on tap. Noah the chef even came out and spoke with us. Super nice guy and tier 1 chef.

Dip Trio! Best thing we ordered!

To my surprise, I had no idea that this was where the old Rock N' Brews used to be located. It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking, no need to worry about that! My friend and I came for lunch on a Friday at 12pm and there was maybe 2 other parties here and then us. We sat outside as it was a lovely day, but I think that turned out to be a bad decision as there was only 1 server working and it seemed that we were being neglected because we were outside. Times in between us ordering our drinks and appetizer and then entree was too far in between and we were never checked on during the meal. The best thing we ordered was the Dip Trio! HIGHLY recommend! They give you HUGE portions of hummus, tzatziki, and baba ghanoush. My only thing is I wish they provided more veggie sticks/pitas for the amount of dips they give you (as you can see, those dishes are DEEP). The garlic paste on my chicken & kofta meal tasted very bland/microwaved. The garlic paste was NOT what I was expecting and tasted more like oil and not fresh garlic. The chicken was decent as was the kofta, but the veggies were bland as well. My friend ordered the Mediterranean salad was highly disappointed in that is was supposed to come with mixed greens as it is easier for her to eat than iceberg and the waitress didn't seem to have an answer as to why it was made wrong. My friend also ask and confirmed if the chicken was like a chicken kabob and not just plain white chicken breast and asked if she can have the kabob chicken with the salad, and she did not get that. We did not each much of our entree and stuck with the appetizer. We might be going to a more authentic Mediterranean restaurant next time as this is more of a fusion restaurant with only a small section of Mediterranean food.

The prices for me were decent for a hookah lounge in CA. I live in Phx where it's a little less, however, nowhere I've been has this great of food included with the hookah lounge. They have everything you need to have a chill night solo or even a group of friends. The service was the best service I've ever had at a hookah spot. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! First off, the gal that works the cashier and prob nearly everything else here was awesome! Gave suggestions, delivered food and provided many pleasantries. Combo plate was decent but the rice was boring, the pitas were dry. Otherwise the proteins were good and the veggies were fresh but kinda fell a little short. Fries were very sad. Chicken shawarma sandwich was sad too besides the chicken. I really feel a couple tweaks and it could have been great! I have high hopes and will try again soon.

While it is presented as Mediterranean…read morecuisine, much of the menu appears to be centered on Afghan and Persian (Iranian) dishes, with some influences from neighboring regional cuisines. Items such as bolani, koobideh, and other menu offerings are more commonly associated with Afghan and Persian culinary traditions. Although the menu also includes Mediterranean staples such as falafel, shawarma, and hummus, those dishes seem to represent a smaller portion of the overall selection. The mint lemonade was not very sweet, which is a matter of personal preference. I also found the color unusually vibrant, and after sitting for a while, the drink began to separate, which I found somewhat unexpected. The pizza was disappointing. It reminded me of a typical store-bought pizza, and I have had frozen pizzas that offered better flavor and quality. The beef koobideh and beef kebab were decent and enjoyable, but they did not particularly stand out compared to similar dishes available at other local restaurants. Service was somewhat disappointing during our visit. The hostess/server appeared to be managing a large number of tables on her own and seemed genuinely overwhelmed at times. While the overall service experience was not as attentive as I would have liked, it appeared to be more a matter of staffing or workload than a lack of effort on her part. The highlight of the experience was the patio. It is a pleasant space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea, and spend time outdoors. For me, the atmosphere was stronger than the food itself.

Cairo Restaurant & Cafe - Anaheim Rating: (5/5)…read more I ordered from Cairo Restaurant & Cafe through Uber Eats, and this ended up being one of the most meaningful food experiences I've had in a long time. For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. It's a 5-star review because the food was genuinely outstanding -- rich, decadent, comforting, and made the right way. It is very hard for me to say that something compares to my mother's cooking, but this truly came close. I cannot wait to come in person in the next few weeks. Cairo Restaurant & Cafe didn't just serve food -- they delivered a memory.

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
