This was supposed to be one skewer of beef liver. This is a scam!

I ordered a beef liver and I kid you not I got a bread with an inch of beef liver. This is outright disrespectful to a customer. Shame on this establishment. Shut it down!

Looked for a spot open late for dinner, so we came here. They are open until 2:00 am. We hadn't eaten here before and we were pleasantly surprised. The portion were large and absolutely delicious. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with choosing what we ate. We ate outside because it was a nice night and it made the meal that much better.

Salmon salad. Looked kinda chewed up as served but apparently it tasted okay

Delightful Persian restaurant in Old Town Tustin. Excellent attentive service and fun party atmosphere when the friendly house cover band plays. It seems like they have a group of regulars bc people kept coming in and were greeted by the band and everyone sitting in the band section of the patio. Food is good, some interesting things on the menu. Samosas are surprisingly tasty with a thin shattering crust and servers with a delicious spicy creamy sauce. I ordered the tongue sandwich. It was good and the salad it came with was fresh. They absolutely drench their salads in dressing though so consider asking for the dressing on the side of you prefer your salads more lightly dressed. They have one beer on draft, the Persian beer SHAMS, described as a pilsner but it is more full flavored than American pilsners and seems unfiltered. Very tasty, we ended up ordering another round to enjoy while we stayed after we finished eating to listen to the house band.

Food was excellent and the portions were very generous. The rice was very fluffy and fresh, while the beef koubideh was juicy and tender, served hot. It comes with 2 skewers. The inside could use some renovation though - very old and looked worn down. Hookah was ok. I tried the Lucid Dream. Overall, good place to socialize and hang out with friends.

I had no idea Old Town Tustin had Persian food until visiting Divan Grill & Lounge the other night for a birthday dinner! The restaurant is hidden away on a corner street in the area and has casual and relaxed vibes, with many hookah vessels available within the restaurant. But the food and service are solid! Even with a large group, the service and food was paced reasonably. And the food was enjoyable. We got to try a trip of dips - tzaziki, hummus, and warm eggplant. The tzaziki was really refreshing and the eggplant was a nice warm hug in the mouth - so a nice contrast. The hummus was creamy and smooth and the flavor was decent too. For the main entrees, we had the salmon, chicken, and beef koobideh. The salmon had crispy skin and was pretty flaky but more well cooked. The chicken was tender (seemed to be mostly thighs, which I'm a fan of) and very flavorful. And the beef koobideh was also very tender and probably my favorite bite of the night. Overall, a solid option for Persian food in the area, and very accommodating to large groups. It's worth visiting if you're in the area, especially if you want to try something different from the many Asian and Italian places nearby.

Most people were outside. It was freezing even with heat lamps but some of them were off.

Quite expensive for the portions. Great live band. We went there to support our friends. Many of the people there described their dish as bland, too runny, or too small. I left there quite hungry. For around $20 an appetizer each we thought we would get a lot more. If they didn't have live music it was not worth it. We asked for things several times and had to get up to ask someone else. They kept forgetting. They were nice and friendly but understaffed. People were doing hooka stuff if you're sitting outdoors.

Love the food here and the authentic vibe! Friendly staff, great service and great atmosphere .

We ended up at Naan and Kebab, a very casual Persian restaurant. For a place in Tustin and a restaurant that I would honestly describe as pretty average overall, this is the kind of spot that fits the bill if you're just looking for something quick and simple. This is definitely not a Raffi's Place in Glendale or one of those higher-end Persian restaurants where you go expecting a full dining experience. But with that said, it's still okay. If you're just trying to grab something to go and want a decent taste of Persian food without too many expectations, this place isn't too bad. We tried their koobideh kebabs, and those were actually pretty solid. The chicken, on the other hand, was probably around a two-plus star level--nothing particularly memorable. So overall, if you're in the mood for koobideh specifically, this is not a bad option to consider. I'll still give them four stars, mainly because the koobideh was enjoyable enough and the experience, while simple, was acceptable for what it is.

But let me tell you this food was delicious! You can tell the food was made and plates prepared with love and intention. I came with a coworker for lunch, her suggestion and my first time here. She was telling me she came for her favorite rice, the cherry rice. I had never heard of it, but upgraded my order to cherry rice (didn't see it on the menu as cherry rice, may have a specific name I'm not aware of, but I ordered it fine saying cherry rice). I ordered the lunch special, for 18.99 came with chicken kabob and beef, a tomato, and of course the cherry rice. That rice was so delicious and unlike any other type of rice I have ever tasted. It was slightly sweet, and had warm cooked cherries scattered within. SO GOOD!!! Additionally it came with a tray of warm flat bread with butter, a beautiful starter salad, with a simple dressing of oil, lemon, and mint. This was also a unique flavor to my taste buds, but so good! If you like lemon you will love it. The flavors of the entire meal all complimented each other beautifully. If you are in the Tustin area and enjoy Persian food, give this small business a try. Hopefully you will leave like we did, pleasantly satisfied, and planning another lunch date there soon.

Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and patient, making us feel like valued guests from the moment we walked in. Great food is one thing, but exceptional hospitality is what keeps people coming back and DönerG absolutely delivers both. One of my favorite parts of the experience was watching the meat slowly roasting on the vertical spit. It made me wonder if this was the inspiration behind Mexico's famous al pastor, and sure enough, it is! Learning about that culinary connection made the meal even more enjoyable.

Located on 1st in Santa Ana near Tustin, there's a wrought iron fence around the private lot, and the restaurant is open until 9pm most nights. I was surprised nobody was dining in, and except for a woman waiting for her takeout order to be made, I was the only person for most of the visit. I quickly realized the phone rings often, so most business is ordered ahead, with the option to eat there, in the car, or take home. Clearly, for presentation and likely quantity, I recommend eating there. The host is a nice older gentleman who literally does it all, and is so good it hardly seems like he's working. My Shish kabob plate came out faster than expected, and I was almost as impressed with the salad as the saffron rice and actual kabob, which is tender and amazing by the way. Basically, you pick a drink from the refrigerator, and I let him talk me into trying hummus, and appetizer, which ultimately comes with cut flatbread. His take is less creamy than other restaurants, but the flavors are fresh, without garlic. Don't worry, the salad dressing is a fantastic creamy Italian style. The price was commiserate with the quality, and I suppose I'll try more when I'm around the area.

Items such as bolani, koobideh, and other menu offerings are more commonly associated with Afghan and Persian culinary traditions. Although the menu also includes Mediterranean staples such as falafel, shawarma, and hummus, those dishes seem to represent a smaller portion of the overall selection. The mint lemonade was not very sweet, which is a matter of personal preference. I also found the color unusually vibrant, and after sitting for a while, the drink began to separate, which I found somewhat unexpected. The pizza was disappointing. It reminded me of a typical store-bought pizza, and I have had frozen pizzas that offered better flavor and quality. The beef koobideh and beef kebab were decent and enjoyable, but they did not particularly stand out compared to similar dishes available at other local restaurants. Service was somewhat disappointing during our visit. The hostess/server appeared to be managing a large number of tables on her own and seemed genuinely overwhelmed at times. While the overall service experience was not as attentive as I would have liked, it appeared to be more a matter of staffing or workload than a lack of effort on her part. The highlight of the experience was the patio. It is a pleasant space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea, and spend time outdoors. For me, the atmosphere was stronger than the food itself.
