3.5 stars Came here on Friday around 11 am. I liked the indoor and outdoor seating options here, not terribly crowded. Parking was free and easy and service was friendly. I got the bacon breakfast sandwich (which seemed like a popular choice that day) and an iced salted caramel latte (which didn't taste too strongly of coconut). While the sandwich was good and being a native Burqueña, I didn't think that the sambal aioli would be that spicy (as other reviews have stated), but unfortunately came with some horrible side effects to the point that I had to leave work early that day. I did enjoy the Friday French toast special (caramelized banana) and the presentation of it, as well as how pretty my friend's avocado toast looked. . Not sure I'll be back though 2026 #38 read more

Villa Myriam is a pretty hidden coffee shop when it comes to the coffee shop scene here in Albuquerque. They have a decent size parking lot, but I really wish they would repave it. One of my biggest gripes is the seating can be rough. Specifically, the high tops are not built for short people. They get really busy too so sometimes you're fighting for seating. The drinks are solid, they have a lot of sweeter options and seasonal flavors. They do have a good selection of food, more than your average coffee shop offers. I know they have special french toasts on Fridays, and I was finally in town on a Friday. It's a great place for food and coffee, popular with both people meeting up and folks getting work done. The coffee is EXCELLENT. I got a cup of the Whiskey and the afternotes really do taste like whiskey and is very tasty. I didn't catch her name but the young woman at the counter with long brown hair in sort of a ponytail- braid hybrid and light colored eyes greeted me the day prior when I passed by and was so gracious even though I didn't end up ordering anything since the kitchen was closed and then remembered me and welcomed me back with my phone order immediately ready when I arrived today. I didn't talk to any of the other busy staff, but I got the sense that they are as incredibly friendly as she was. If I were not just visiting, I'd become a regular at this place! The atmosphere was also as inviting as the staff. Choriza bowl is likely not gluten free I was told but they had gluten free bread for sandwiches. Villa Myriam has recently opened on Saturdays, so we stopped in for breakfast this morning. My husband had an outstanding carnitas burrito filled with delicious braised pork, pinto beans, green chile, and manchego cheese. It was messy but so good. I had the bacon breakfast sandwich - applewood bacon, scrambled eggs, Cheddar cheese, marinated red pepper, and greens, all on lightly toasted Ihatov sourdough. It was excellent. I enjoyed a nutty mocha latte with chocolate and hazelnut syrup and my husband had their brewed coffee, which he thought was very good. Villa Myriam is a wonderful, cozy place to savor in their very own coffee, grown on their Colombian farm and roasted right here. The ceilings are high, above a nice variety of seating. I love Villa Myrian's coffee. It has a smoother taste than many. They have a healthy selection of pastries and recently brought back food. They always have healthy meals. They welcome patrons to work here for a bit. VM has a welcoming brutalitst courtyard and central fire pit. Their roastery and coffeehouse is tucked away in a former industrial area just south of Lomas NE, west of Broadway NE, right along the east side of the railroadtracks. This area is slowly being transformed into an arts district dubbed Downtown ABQ Mainstreet Arts & Cultural District. The owners of VM, are planning to open a neon sign museum with a collection of local signs from former local businesses next to the old Glorieta brewery tower. Cantina Real is finally opening soon. They had been ready to open when the pandemic started. The Cell Theatre and Fusion events space are just on the other side of the tracks on 1st Street NW. Thankfully, it's much easier to walk between the Villa Myriam and these venues now that there's a railroad crossing on Marquette. Check out Villa Myriam. You'll enjoy it. read more

Today was our first time trying this place. My husband ordered a burger they only have burgers on Fridays and he loooooved the burger. He said it was one of his favorites. This is the cutest little shop I am unsure how I never knew about this place until today. I will be frequenting this location in the future because it is a perfect place to study or work. When I got to work and opened the box I was shocked at how beautiful the presentation was. This was the best tasting avocado toast I have ever had. The sourdough toast was crispy and chewy. The avocado was smooth and creamy and the egg was perfect, the prosciutto added a rich and smoky decadence. I was so impressed I went back today for lunch and had the cubano sandwich. My fiancé is a self-proclaimed "coffee snob" and says that Villa Myriam beans are really great for making espresso at home. Whenever we travel back to ABQ, we have to stock up on several bags to take back home. Their bathrooms are super clean. I really love the open space and ambience inside the cafe. So this is a roaster & coffee house, with a chef as well who has a small and changing menu that's fantastic. I had these little fruit tarts that were flaky and delicious, plus a scone and my friend got the breakfast you see here. The coffee is delicious and they have a wide variety of sugar free syrups which is great for me because I don't drink any sugar if I can avoid it, and most chain places only have vanilla. I was super impressed with my visit to "VM" coffee roasting. If you are a serious coffee drinker, you will love this place. Not only do they have a TON of different bean options from all over the world, but they even have different roast level options for many of those beans (meaning you can get many of the beans in light, medium, or dark roasts). And, not only are all these beans available for sale, but you can get most of them in pour-over form to enjoy right away. The space is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked how empty it was (I was the only person there other than the baristas), but there is a ton of tables for working, as well as a lot of more comfy seating options. They also have a nice outdoor patio. Service was super fast and friendly (although, again, I was the only person there), and prices are great. They are really close to Downtown Abluquerque. Ordering during these times is super easy. Villa Myriam has an online ordering system that is seamless and let's you schedule pick up time, as well as provides updates. I went to pick up my order and was delighted to see a table set up for pickup orders. A friendly and masked employee handed me my order and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Quick, simple and safe. More importantly, this coffee is AMAZING and such a treat to myself during this time of staying home . Light roast with whiskey flavors on the tail end. I sent half to my husband who lives out of state and we were able to have a shared coffee date with this noteworthy coffee. Ever since we first came to VM, my father-in-law has been dying to come back! He loves a good chai latte and he says that no one compares to the one made by VM!
