The BEST breakfast burrito I have ever had. We bought 4 total, there were two of us, thinking the burritos would be small bc it's a coffee shop. This is our favorite coffee. We have been drinking it since our son first introduced it to us a few years ago. We are unable to get it in San Antonio so we order it online. AMAZING customer service- Randy is the man! I placed a bulk order for an event a few weeks ago and the bulk pricing was clear, the staff was excellent, and everything shipped with no problem. Fast forward to today- the day before said event: we need more coffee! Like 5 cases more- by 5pm! I called the customer service number and spoke to Randy, who said he'd do everything he could to assist. He checked with the warehouse and production staff and was able to get me five boxes of what I needed- and had it all ready to go mere hours later. The coffee is legendary but the customer service at the candelaria location is abysmal at best. I don't know about the other locations but this one serves coffee and does not have a restroom for customers to use. I myself do not enjoy flavored coffee and have other local whole bean roasters that I prefer over their coffee but the piñon coffee is a hit with all the out of town relatives and friends. So a word of warning about the candelaria location is if you visit there make sure you do not need the restroom before going. The great thing is that it can be found at most grocery stores in the area. read more

This is their roasting location and shop - no coffee drinks are made here. However they do have 1-2 samples of their coffee to try. All flavors of their coffee beans (ground, whole bean and decaf) are available for purchase. The sales associate was extremely knowledgeable about their products and had great recommendations. The samples I tried were very smooth with just a hint of flavor. I love the fact all their coffee is made with NATURAL flavor not the usual artificial stuff you see in most stores. Great prices too! A grinder is on site if you prefer to buy whole bean and freshly grind the beans yourself. Overall this is a great place to get some affordable and great tasting coffee while supporting local business. There are a couple of New Mexico piñon coffee houses if you want to try their coffee in a special drink. I think the closest is only a couple miles away from this roasting location. read more

This is regarding the drive thru in the 4th and Montaño area. The coffee was delicious and warrants a 5. However, the burrito gets the 3 because it was clearly pre-made, and had green chile on only about 1/3 of the burrito. They need to either add more throughout, or at least evenly distribute the chile within the burrito. It also could have been warmer, was kind of luke warm. I also did not like that the receipt had a tip line - for a drive thru service this is not the norm. read more

As coffee drinkers we wanted to try this regional brew made with pinon nuts. Well, did you know they have a warehouse/gift shop in a commercial part of ABQ that not only gives tours but offers FREE coffee 101 classes every Saturday? Well, we knew about the warehouse but not about the class so just missed it. The class looked really neat, and even includes free samples and a 25% discount on items purchased afterwards! We asked the girl up front about a tour anyway and she happily abliged. She led us through the back where they were roasting, grinding and packaging the coffee. It was warm in there so be prepared. She explained the different beans they use, flavors they can add and about the pinon. The tour didn't last but 15 minutes but was pretty neat. Up front in the gift shop they have free coffee to sample and a nice selection of gifts , cookies, and of course, coffee. They will gladly flavor the coffee if you'd like. All in all a great experience, I just wish we'd known about the class. The company must not promote these classes much, because our hotel was clueless about it. Prices are reasonable too- we left with several flavors including Maple Bacon, Apple Empanada, Biscochito, Pinon Fudge, and Mexican Spiced Chocolate. read more

Courteous service, great selection. They always have deals, just ask. You can't go wrong with any of their coffees, but my favorites are dark pinion, bizcochito, and Mexican chocolate. Whenever I pass through Albuquerque, I just have to stop in and stock up. And it's pretty close to an interstate so it's convenient too. I just wish it was easier to find their coffee here in Tucson. So far I've only found it at Cost Plus World Market, and only two of the many varieties NM Pinion makes are available there. read more

I am basing this review specifically on the WOW factor. I had their iced chai tea latte with a little cinnamon and I fell in love and was like WOW--how soon can I come back and get it again?! Pinon nuts are one of NMexico's specialty items and I've had their coffee before because a friend of mine buys it in bulk and it's good. But, this chai tea latte is the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and it was clean and cool (perfect summer combo). The staff was helpful and courteous and the prices were reasonable.
