Her dish was loaded with an assortment of scallops, calamari, oysters & clams....very tasty. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, attentive and made the whole dining experience special. Then, to add to the atmosphere we were entertained by live music ......the singer, Jeffrey Thomas, offered a good selection of songs that performed with his excellent voice! The butter in the bread basket for two people was frozen and there were three pieces of bread for 2 people. Were we supposed to fight over the last piece? In your description of pasta puttanesca, you failed to mention there would be onion. The person I was with hates onion. I was nice to that person and traded meals with him. He got my seafood risotto and I got the puttanesca. I could not taste any anchovies or salt in the dish, and I discovered i don't like it. I sent it back and ordered Alfredo with shrimp. One of my shrimp was NOT deveined. That's right, it still had its poop. And the level of black pepper in the dish was so strong, it left a metallic after taste. The seafood risotto was over cooked. Babies could have been fed that rice it was so mushy. That risotto was NOT creamy, just mush. And again, it needed salt. On a note that has nothing to do with food, we got one drink refill from the the water kid. He walked by us later, gave us a dirty look when we pointed to our empty cups, and kept walking. read more

I've eaten here twice. Last year the food was ok, but the service was slow and the ambiance was loud. Tonight the food made me sick, the time to be served was unacceptable, and the ambiance remains too loud. I had the fish/scallop special and the fish had a very strong fish smell and flavor. The first bite told me the fish had gone bad. The service was about the worst I've ever encountered. Our server was slow, inattentive, and forgetful. Our server spent a lot of time apologizing. Dinner was almost 3 hours long including only one appetizer and no dessert order. The restaurant was not full and did not appear overly busy. This visit will be my last. There are too many better Italian restaurants in the area to take another chance here. One positive for this place: the valet guy was awesome! read more

We had the brunch and it was delicious. The wait staff was just wonderful and very accommodating. We were in the small room to the right as there were 10 of us celebrating a birthday and having the Sunday brunch. Everything was top shelf and we very much appreciated the way the wait staff went out of their way and brought a cake with a candle on it to celebrate our friend's 80th birthday. Do you guys need a new pastry chef? Because messing up crème brûlée and cannolis is stepping into needing a new pastry chef territory. Please learn how to make a properly set crème brûlée. No, I don't expect the ramekin they are baked in. But I expect to see a proper crème brûlée in my to go container. Not soup. Horrendous. We live 3 minutes from this place. We will see if my refund processes since the host did not provide me a refund receipt and claimed the manager would deal with it later. She also stayed "this is how they're served" Okay? Served wrong? Noted. Also - I ordered a cannoli, not a citrus crème tube. The orange is insanely overpowering. Too much powdered sugar. Stale shell. Crème didn't even touch in the middle. Came to this spot on a Friday night on the recommendation of a friend. It was about half full so I expected a quick service. It is an interesting take on Italian restaurant with a bar area when you enter with table seating on each side and also outdoor seating. I was sat pretty quick but it took a while for the server to come over and take drinks. Once she got the drink taken care of and then took the food order it took nearly an hour to get the food out to the table. It was a simple pasta with meat sauce order so I'm not sure why it took so long. Unfortunately the meal was not very good. The pasta and sauce were okay but the meat, not so much, I wouldn't order it again. Once I was done and she brought the check she never came back to take it and bring change. The manager ended up seeing me sit for an extended time and made change for me. And like it said, it was just half full, not even a full house. If you do choose to go here you should know it's LOUD. Like really loud. There was a guy doing music and everyone was screaming over him to talk, it was almost unbearable. I don't think I'd go back to be honest. It missed all the requirements of a good experience: not good food, not good service, and not a good environment! The cost wasn't bad but I guess I know why now. read more

First time back after a 15yr hiatus due in part to a less favorable experience. I'm happy to report this dining experience was quite successful as both our dinners were very good. My mixed cold seafood salad was not only beautifully plated but executed very well. Back in the day, a cold seafood salad was an Italian restaurant menu staple which seemed to fall out of favor as the years progressed. I was elated to see it on the Napolitana menu and so I gave it a whirl and wasn't disappointed. The seafood was quite fresh and with an evoo lemon dressing it was delightfully refreshing and tasty. The Caesar salad was a surprise, the dressing had a slight sweetness, I'm guessing it had a sprinkle of white balsamic vinegar which was not objectionable at all in fact it added a new dimension to an old standard. On the specials list was a 12,14 or 16oz prime rib with duchess potatoes and creamed spinach. My wife opted for the prime rib and was more than satisfied saying it was one of the best she has had. The menu at Villa Napolitana has the usual plus the unusual which makes it a very interesting option when you feel like having Italian food. We had a great experience and can easily recommend you give it a try. read more

This gem of a restaurant on the East Longmeadow/Springfield town line is easy to miss when just driving by along N. Main Street, as it is tucked in an inside corner adjacent to a couple of small shops. When you step inside, it is beautiful- having recently been remodeled. Welcoming staff and excellent service (thank you Scott). The food is outstanding- all house made, right down to the salad dressings! Tonight we had filet mignon with gorngonzola and lumps of fresh crabmeat. My wife had a similar filet mignon dish with garlic, basil, sun-dried tomatoes and gornonzola. Both were outstanding! After hearing about this place from so many friends, my family decided to give it a try via Delivery Express. It took nearly 2 hours to receive our food and we are local, which has been the longest we've ever waited for a delivery so our experience didn't start off the best. We are aware that is not a reflection of Villa directly. We bought quite the spread (pictures of most attached) . 3 apps - Mozzarella en Carozza, Panzanella & Portabella Imbottiti ranging in price from $8.95-$9.95 and 2 entrees - Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp & Pollo Inpacottata ranging between $16.95 - $18.95. Each entrée came with a salad, your choice of dressing and bread as well. Wish it was rolls and not what seemed to be like a sliced, heated grinder roll. Here's an overview of the dishes below: APPS Mozzarella en Carrazo - to pay $10 for TWO mozzarella is crazy but to receive them and they be so hard & burnt (see pic) is what upset us the most. Someone cooked and packaged that & still allowed it to be sent to a customer. Didn't even try to eat it. Panzanella - Something smelled very off with this, so much so my husband gagged from the smell. We immediately tossed it when I took a bite and it tasted rancid. Portabella Imbottiti - Again, $10 for ONE Portabella stuffed mushroom. Yes, it has a sausage stuffing and cheese but nothing about this was worth $10. The pic attached was about half left. ENTRÉES Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp - This was pretty standard, I wouldn't rave about it but it wasn't bad at all. You do get a huge portion of pasta & mine had 6 shrimp. The shrimp were cooked perfect. Pollo Inpacottata - I was so excited for this as I've had it a few times other places. It fell short. The flavor Profile was just not what I expected and I was hoping for more. It was just very very salty. This also came with a side of pasta with red sauce which is a very odd pairing to have with the brown mushroom sauce of the Chicken. My husband thought it was ok. Overall, We didn't enjoy our first experience with Villa & we wanted to love it! I don't know if it was just an off night but I don't know if I would try again only because across the board the food was just not that great. We shall see. My husband and I went to Villa Napoletana to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A few different rooms make up the inside of the restaurant which provide good separation to cut down on noise adding to the atmosphere of the whole place. Nice jazz music played all night over the speaker system. The menu has a little bit of everything for everyone, and the portion sizes are excellent for the price. We had some champagne with strawberries, warm bread and some cocktails to start. We enjoyed the cheesy tomato bisque, Penne Gorgonzola and the Lobster Ravioli. Our server Andy was an absolute delight. He was fun, polite, and very attentive. Absolutely recommend trying Villa Napoletana! It's fantastic! read more

We held our niece's engagement party here on Sunday morning with brunch. It was a great success. First, everyone that works here has a wonderful attitude. We arrived early from out of town with vases for flowers, I asked where can we buy flowers, they gave us 2 suggestions, just down the street. Recently decided to give Villa Napoletana a try via Uber Eats. I ordered an appetizer, a salad, and an entree. And while the appetizer I ordered was delicious, it ended up being the best part of the entire meal. The salad was lackluster which feels weird to say since it's salad. But the thing that ruined it all was the Spaghetti Carbonara - I don't know if maybe every other restaurant is doing it wrong or something but instead of a spaghetti in a rich carbonara sauce I received spaghetti with scrambled eggs. It was a dry, flavorless dish that was an absolute disaster and disappointment. I tried reaching out through the delivery service and was told oh well, it's my own fault for not properly reading the description of the dish. Well I definitely read it and having enjoyed the dish many times before I know this dish was wrong. I wanted to support a local restaurant/business but I just don't think it is worth ordering from again unless I stick to the Artichoke Francese (which was worthy of a five star, even if everything else failed to deliver). Honestly I'm only giving the place two stars because of the appetizer and the fact that they really were able to get my meal put together quickly since it only took 45 minutes for it to be delivered. read more

Disappointed. This was the location of my first date with my now wife and every now and then we go back for nostalgic reasons. During our last visit, my wife got the seafood special and I got a beef dish stuffed with Bleu cheese and topped with lump crab meat. The crab meat was cold and I'm not sure if it was supposed to be but if it was it didn't provide a good contrast with the warm steak. My wife's seafood dish came with risotto which was undercooked and crunchy. We go out to eat a lot and really judge food in the context of the venue (ie more critical at a five star restaurant vs a mom and pop) so we would have been more disappointed if we were paying for $50 dollar entrees. However, what made this trip disappointing was how we were rushed through our meals. For some reason, our entrees were served moments after receiving our soup and the waiter was checking back so often that it really started to feel like they wanted to free up the table. The bill was brought well before we were finished and again gave us the feeling that it was time to go. There were plenty of open tables so maybe it was just an unexperienced waiter. read more

Went to Easter brunch this yes after booking a reservation on open table. Reservation was messed up as it defaulted to 2 guests from my requested 4. The host/hostess went out of their way to ensure they found an adequate table to serve the full party. This service was greatly appreciated. Food was wonderful, with plenty of options. All enjoyed their meals, along with plenty of desert options as well.
