I am here on a work trip. This place was absolutely amazing. The lasagna was 10/10. The veal piccata was a 9/10. They have us a free dessert drink and free appetizer. For no reason. Just because they are nice. Totally recommend.

    Cheers!

I arrived with a party of 4 on a Saturday night at 5:30 pm . The first thing I did was look around the restaurant to assess the dining options. Villa Olivetti is a quaint Italian restaurant that is nicely decorated with quite a few intimate areas to dine. Pleasant music was playing in the back ground. We were informed that a few large parties were about to arrive so we choose to sit at the spacious bar. First I need to point out that the staff is so friendly , welcoming and helpful. We met the owner Mauricio and a few of his brothers. Every staff member went above and beyond and served with a smile. They truly take pride in this establishment. Beautiful Moira was working the bar and was an absolute delight. She had us laughing for hours. We enjoyed fine dining at a resonable price. The menu is price fixed at $24.95 which includes an appetizer, main course, coffee and dessert. Some entrees have an additional charge, for example, salmon and swordfish. It was well worth it! Please take a look at my photos to see what we selected. Everything and I mean Everything was fresh, delicious and made to perfection including the bread basket. We continuously raved about our meal. We all agreed that we will be returning for many years to come. Can it get any better? Thank you Villa Olivetti for the outstanding experience. You are a gem!!!! P.S. grab the catering menu on your way out.

It was early, we had a 5pm reservation and the restaurant was pretty quiet. My friends arrived a few minutes later and we were seated immediately also in the bar area as was requested. Our waitress came over to ask about drinks then the busboy arrived with warm garlic knots and focaccia, both were very good. We ordered the gluten free fried zucchini, which I have to say I liked better then most other versions I've had. It seems they have an extensive menu of gluten free options which my friend appreciated very much. I got the Pollo Florendena which is two large chicken cutlets breaded and fried with spinach & mozzarella in a brown gravy served with vegg (string beans) and a small potato croquette. The chicken was tender, the gravy tasty and the beans not over cooked. The potato was meh. I took home most of my dinner. One friend ordered the Tortellini Aligherieri but substituted GF pasta, she enjoyed it very much. The other person ordered Vitello Saltimbocca which is veal with prosciutto, eggplant and mozz in a marsala sauce. It usually comes with veg & pot but she substituted penna in a garlic oil sauce which was very good. We had no room for dessert but there were many selections and one day I'll try. All in all a very nice meal, the restaurant has no issue making substitution, the portions are very large and prices were reasonable. The place was packed when we left at around 6:30 and I can understand why.

Add to that, I walked in with a book, got seated in a dark & quiet corner, and everyone was *just attentive enough*... while leaving me to my reading and my GF gnocchi. It was a surprise party for 15 people (his absolute favorite restaurant), and the entire night exceeded every expectation we had. The level of service we received was nothing short of incredible. Our main server, John, was absolutely out of this world. Not only was he attentive and on top of everything all night long, but he also took the time to share background and knowledge about the restaurant and each dish we were enjoying. That combination of service, passion, and education made the entire experience feel so elevated and special. Anything we needed, he was there immediately--he truly made us feel taken care of the entire evening. His assistant, Charles, was just as amazing--so attentive, kind, and dedicated to making sure we had the best possible time. And the food... absolutely phenomenal. Huge credit to Chef Marco--there are honestly no words. We opted for a family-style setup with multiple appetizers, salads, entrées, and desserts. I was a little skeptical at first, but it ended up being the BEST decision. We got to try so many different dishes--way more than you normally would--and there was not a single thing I didn't love. Every bite was incredible. Between the outstanding service, the amazing food, and the overall experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you go, definitely request John--you will not regret it!

Overall - 4/5 - this is one of those places that is worth visiting once then probably not again. Everything was good but for the price you can get equally as good food at a budget. Food was really good, particularly the Wild Boar Gnocchi Ragu & Pistachio Cake, both easily worth a try. Service was great as well. Friendly, attentive, some conversation there, was good service. Ambiance was a mixed bag. While the indoors is really nice with a cool open flame, it can be dark inside and a little tacky (easy 4 if it wasn't as dark). Definitely worth a visit at one point but not as a regular spot. Best Dish - Wild Boar Ragu Gnocchi, Pistachio Cake Would Return - Probably not

Recently, I decided to give it another shot on two separate times, and some of their specialty pies: the vodka pizza with a garlic knot crust and the trio pizza (pesto, marinara, and vodka). I'll start with the positives--service was friendly and welcoming, which definitely made the experience more pleasant. And to be fair, the flavors across the pies were actually pretty good. The sauces complemented each other well. That said, the biggest issue--was the dough. It was noticeably undercooked which made the slices a bit doughy and hard to enjoy. On top of that, the pizza was quite greasy, which didn't help the overall texture. The undercooked dough stood out enough that it took away from what could have been a really solid pie. Another small note: the dining area looked like it could've used a quick sweep. Not a huge deal, but something that affects the overall impression when you walk in. I wouldn't completely write this place off, because the flavors are there and the staff is friendly. If I give it another try, I'd probably stick with a regular pie or maybe a Sicilian and specifically ask for it to be cooked well done. I think that could make a big difference.
