Now it is a bit pricy, I paid about $7 for a buffalo chicken slice which is fine considering the amount of chicken they put on the slice! This slice was loaded. I asked for it well done and they delivered. The buffalo chicken slice was crispy, no flop at all and loaded with flavor. Absolutely great place, now granted my rating is based off just trying this once but it was outstanding. The girl who works the counter is super sweet and very very well deserving of 5 stars herself. It's beautifully pillowy with a crisp undercarriage. It's perfectly oily without being greasy. It's (IMO) too saucy which tends to make it a little sloppy but it's a balanced sauce of sweet and tart with just the right amount of cheese. Their regular pie is a benchmark pie for Long Island pizza. It's just right. No notes. The chicken parm and meatball parm heroes are also benchmark sandwiches. I judge all heroes against theirs. Personally, I prefer the chicken parm, but it's a 1A/1B situation. There's no wrong choice. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a little bit larger.

I told the owner that and he said it's $16 and change for the Chicken Parm and $15 and change for the pasta. If you don't know, after alcohol, an Italian restaurant's biggest profit margin is pasta. For this restaurant, it might be number one. Pasta is incredibly cheap to make so the markup here is beyond insane. The price for pasta is so high that they almost definitely miss the ideal price point. In other words, this price will drive down orders and keep customers away. At a lower price point, it will drive more groups of people spending more money. Aside from that, the food is excellent and I still recommend this place. It really is great food. Just don't order pasta.

I called ahead for pickup for a quick stop on the way home. Our food was steaming hot and ready within a minute of arriving. Little Vinny's is that a perfect neighborhood pizza joint. A simple, small pizza counter to order at, maybe a dozen tables for dine in, and most important PSA, it's cash only. It's the kind of place you instantly know locals have loved for generations. Oh, and if you're looking for a super late night bite to eat, they are open until 2AM! The pizza is out of this world, especially if you try their cold cheese slice. Yes, you read that right. This is pizza with a handful of cold, shredded mozzarella cheese tossed on top of a classic hot cheese slice right before serving. It's a Long Island rite of passage. But the real highlight for me is the chicken parm hero. It's absolutely packed with crispy chicken cutlet, plenty of sauce, and layers of melty cheese, all wrapped up in that perfect Italian bread. My dad and I shared one, and both agreed it's hard to beat. Little Vinny's may not be fancy, but they absolutely nail what they're doing. I paid by credit card so it wasn't until I looked at my receipt to realize that ordering a sandwich and two small rolls cost me $50. When I questioned it, there was an abundance of food that I did not order. They did absolutely nothing. My questioning, they just walked away from me and I walked out with enough food that I threw out because not one person can eat that much food. Never again. Go elsewhere. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to get a slice of pizza.
