il Trio is not just a good pizza place, it's also a great little restaurant. They have a nice food selection. I had chicken bruchetta and it was great. My wife's dish had a little too much garlic. They give you a nice salad if you don't want pasta with your dish. The service is very good and they were playing a great mix of rock music in the background. Decided to stop by after reading a bunch of really good reviews in Yelp, so glad we trusted it because everything was amazing. This is a small strip mall restaurant, walked in at 5 and the place was empty, however the staff was amazing, we had questions due to dietary restrictions and our waitress was very gracious and of she didn't have an answer she went back to the kitchen to check. She recommended the rice balls and they were so good, really hot inside and not hard at all, filled with lots of mozzarella and a delicious vodka sauce and dollop of ricotta. The baked cod special was super tasty and came with some mussels on the side, bread basket was perfect and bread was super nice and warm. Fettuccini was delicious and creamy but not fatty or greasy. We had a wonderful dinner experience and will definitely recommend this restaurant to another looking for good food and great service. read more

I made a reservation at Il Trio simply based on the yelp reviews. We had a very large party, 12 girls from a softball team and 4 adults. It couldn't have been a better place to land. The service was warm, friendly and attentive. They never seemed annoyed at our boisterous crew, in fact, just the opposite. We felt so welcome. The chef even gave the table complimentary arancini appetizers. The girls were thrilled! It was delicious and probably something most of them have never eaten before. And let me just say, the food was incredible and so much of it! You will not go away hungry from Il Trio, that is for sure! This felt like an old school Italian restaurant, like eating in Nana's kitchen. Everyone left full and happy. If I were ever back in the area, I would certainly go again. I came here with my boys for lunch with my children after my son had speech therapy around the corner. The food was pretty good, the only reason why I lower the stars is because it was a bit dirty. The glass I got with water and it was dirty along with the water tasting like mold. Then, the next glass I got for my beer was covered in crud on the inside. My waitress took it back and washed it, but if you put your finger inside the glass you could actually feel the scum on the inside. So I'm not sure how clean the kitchen is based on that. The staff were very nice. Very personable and helpful. Also, I ordered a Panini, but it was more like a sandwich with ciabatta bread, not a small Panini like I was thinking. I came during lunch and they have a wonderful selection of lunch specials, including either a wrap or panini with a soup or salad for only $9.95 or a hefty plate of pasta for $8.95. As soon as we sat down we were offered a basket of complimentary and super delicious garlic knots and bread. They were so good we had to ask for another basket. I ordered the penne al vodka ($8.95), which was so good. Like the pasta was cooked to PERFECTION and the sauce was so delicious. I got it without prosciutto and it was so fantastic. My boyfriend got the grilled chicken wrap with ranch on the side and a chicken noodle soup. He loved the soup and really enjoyed his wrap. The service is wonderful and friendly. I bet most of you either order garlic knots with your pizza order and regret it, or simply stopped ordering knots altogether because let's be honest, most places make crap knots. They're usually dry, flavorless balls of cooked dough. However, this place makes a good knot! You can actually taste the GARLIC, herbs, olive oil. Again, you can actually taste the GARLIC (key word here) in the knots. Worth the addition to the pizza. Now the pizza. Pizza is good! I like the sauce, it's tasty, fresh, and overall on par with a good pizza place. Crust could be crispier though. Other than that very happy. The staff is super friendly. We had a very friendly waitress. She recommended the rice balls, and they were excellent. There was also a tv in the dining room and they changed it to the NASCAR race for me. The bread was nice and the garden salad was surprisingly tasty. Usually tomatoes are pale white and bland this time of year, but they had some nice ones in the salad. My entree was the Chicken Monachina. The portion size was very generous. Maybe a little more cheese than I would've liked. The chicken was of good quality and had no gristle. It came with grilled chicken but I asked for it on the side so my partner could have it because I'm vegan. My partner ordered the rigatoni bolognese and he gave it 5 stars.
