This is a really nice place to go. The portions are gracious and the appetizers were all under $4. We got the Jalepeno Poppers and Fried Mushrooms. The poppers were very flavorful and came with your choice of cream cheese or nacho cheese and they weren't too spicy. I really appreciated the size of the mushrooms and the batter on just about everything was amazing. They really know how to balance their seasonings. The "Everything Pizza" had a ton of cheese and the toppings are very chunky. It was challenging to eat but for the price and portion, definitely worth it. The fries were light and crispy. I have grown up in Griffith. We have ordered pizza from almost every pizza joint in area. Griffith has an astounding amt of pizza restaurants compared to the size of the town. We end up back at Villa after trying a different place. This is a FAMILY OWNED small business. I really try to stick to businesses that are not corp owned. I love their pizza sauce...and I like ALOT sauce, which I order and they give it .!! If you love cheese , this IS for you. You can ask for light cheese on 1/2 or whole pizza. The sausage is TENDER and crumbly, This is something I just realized because before Christmas, I tried a new pizza place and the sausage was like chewing gum! I ordered pizza from Villa 2 nights ago and wow!! the sausage was not like chewing gum like the other place. Fennel I think is in sausage and their sausage has FLAVOR !! The meat covers WHOLE pizza, evenly. They also have many fried items like cauliflower, mushrooms,& cheese sticks, Pizza bread has been a fav also. Basically , it's pizza on bread which comes out hot/crispy bread. They open 4pm and closed Mondays. I pay in cash and I am not sure if they are taking cards for payment. ( I think they finally started to ???) You will get total of your bill before hanging up. Delivery is always available and I live south of tracks and let me tell you, NOBODY will deliver to us because of this. Villa DOES deliver !! They also have a dining area so you can pre order then show up and have a cute date night or family pizza dinner!! The room can also be used for priv party, just ask. There also is a parking LOT so you are not getting killed on Broad street !! The pick-up area is small so its best to show up 25-30 min after ordering. I had a problEm with an order asked to talk to a manager or owner, and the young owners son said he wouldn't let talk to the manager or owner. He then told me to suck his "explicit". They were very low class and disrespectful people, if that's theirs staffs attitude then I wonder what they do to pizzas with customers with large orders. Wow this is the best cheese pizza I've had in a long time. Homemade crust too. Simply superb. The sausage pizza is also really good, but the cheese is by far the best I've had in a long time. Building is a very old rickety place, not fancy, but worth carrying out for sure, but eating inside was okay. I drove 48 miles to get them and will definitely do it again. We had the pan pizza, regular size, and it was a monster! The taste and texture was great! Chicago deep dish style with easily over a pound of sausage and large mushroom slices. My husband stopped ever two weeks to pick up a Pizza from Villa. It was the best then and it's still the best in this area. For a few years we only ordered pizza around our place because life happens. Two weeks ago my daughter and I wanted pizza and to be honest she had almost stopped eating pizza. We would get sour tasting sauce, soggy crust in the middle, bad tasting sausage and on one the cheese was mostly American Yellow Cheese. It was either a burned crust or under cooked. So she said, "Let's try Villa in Griffith again and my goodness we were in a Heaven on earth. We ate a large sausage pizza in two days. It's very dirty, it looks like it hasn't been kept up with in years. the pizza was decent. it was extremely greasy in the center. later on the evening I got home from Villa I got sick and the only thing I could come up with was the pizza. and every time I've gone there I've noticed that it's always very hot in there, and I'm guessing maybe the cheese was sitting out. read more

I grew up in Griffith and we loved Villa pizza, owned by the Mills family. One of our favorites, we ate it all through the 70's and 80's. We now live in Schererville but we kept getting Villa pizza every so often cause we loved the crumbly sausage, flaky/puffy crust, slightly greasy cheese. You know, Region pizza. However a couple of years ago the family sold it and we had a pizza and it was awful and we stopped going there. I recently read a review on Yelp from Kim S about "the last couple of pizzas being great just like the old days" so we decided this week to give it another try. Fantastic. I wanted to cry because it was the same delicious pizza from before. Brought back old memories and my family loved it. We will be back. Same old pizza oven, same delicious crumbly sausage, same weird way they slice it, with long, thin strips of pizza. If you haven't had it, get one. You won't regret it. read more

Pizza not bad. This place is to dirty for me. Flies on the Window Sills and missing ceiling panels. The lettuce in my salad looked old and my spaghetti tasted like noodles and tomato juice.
