After leaving my primary care office, I was famished, so I decided to take some me time and stopped by Amici Grill & Pizzeria for a nice cocktail and some grub. The ambience of this place is NICE, kinda cozy, cool and welcoming. I was impressed and usually that's kinda hard to impress me. My server was a Gorgeous young lady named Sophia and she was a little short of Amazing. I first ordered a amaretto stone sour to drink; because I knew that it was 5 o'clock somewhere in the world. Then, for my meal I ordered the Gyro plate with of Course some French fries. When the Gyro plate came it was huge, Delicious and very filling. I could only finish about half of it. Wouldn't you know...the French fries are hand cut and also very very tasty. My Overall experience, was Amazing and Amici grill & Pizzeria gets a whopping 5 Stars. Oh wow I tried the pizza finally from Amicis. I was hoping for the best. However, this was the worst pizza I've ever had actually. It wasn't cooked all the way and was way too salty. Even the toppings weren't the crunchiest or tastiest. I don't even know if there was much sauce as the pizza was also dry. I also ordered the Greek fries and I would suggest never to get them as carry out. Only order the Greek fries when dining in. They were soggy and very little Feta. I'm sad because the pizza was over $24 and it wasn't what I was expecting. There have been reviews telling everyone to try the pizza you won't be disappointed. They are wrong. Pesto Pasta Penne, with Chicken" it includes sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and sliced grilled chicken simmered in their homemade basil pesto cream sauce. This is/was my favorite dish they serve, not only was it not good but this was the second time that the taste was not delicious as previous orders. 1. Normally it has a creamy texture, but instead it was very liquidity and bland. 2. There wasn't enough basil pesto sauce in it, which is what make the dish taste so good. 3. The chicken along with the sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms were also bland. 4. My husband always orders the Steak Hoagie, which is his favorite but this time it was not. He said way to much lettuce and not enough steak. I wished that I would have got a picture of his food too. A very disappointing meal. This is why I could only give them 2 stars. The place was totally empty and minus people eating there was no excitement or atmosphere. Lackluster service with a smile. They really should have a waitress come to your table and take your order and not go up to the front desk. I received my salad and tea right away and waited a very, very long time for my salmon burger to arrive. Very un-synchronized service. The fries were great, the brioche bun excellent but the salmon patty tasted like a pre-made one from Costco frozen foods dept. #NothingFabulous They need something to bring people in here during the day or don't bother to be open. We stopped here to grab a quick bite. I had a group of five with me. This place doesn't have a table service which is shocking. They have a well diversified menu and would do well as a restaurant style establishment rather than cafeteria style (walk up to the counter and order). We have ordered burgers, steak hoagies and a gyro plus fries. The food took a bit long to come out but all of the food was delicious. We will definitely comeback to explore the menu and try their pizza. read more

Amici's was great!! We catered through them for our housewarming party and got SO many compliments on the food! We ordered the garlic knots , greek chicken, chicken parm, and vodka pasta. The service was on time, helpful, and made feeding our 80 guests a breeze. We had several people ask us where the food came from and how delicious it was. The garlic knots are just as amazing as they sound and both pans of chicken were gone. We only had a little bit of pasta left the next day and it was just as good left over. Had the chicken Parmesan it was delicious. Chicken had a really good flavor to it, pasta is pasta, next time I'll ask for more sauce though. But for most I'm sure it's enough sauce. I'm definitely going back to try a few more things. read more

Waited an extra half hour on a takeout order because they were out of Romaine lettuce at 4:30 p.m. Had ordered two pizzas, salad, and garlic bread. Got thirsty waiting and ordered two fountain sodas. That was $3.85, and I got 11¢ back from $4 -- could not open cash register without an order so the guy scraped up four pennies from under the counter. Can't believe he didn't offer to comp the sodas or refund our salad. (Yep, for 4¢. It was the lousy attitude, not the 4¢. The guy knew we were waiting on their screw-up and obviously didn't care.) So, after all that, they loaded the Caesar salad with tomatoes -- where I come from, they don't put tomatoes in a Caesar salad. Skimped on the Romaine we waited for, too. Of course, by the time we got home, the pizzas had been out of the oven for about 50 minutes and were stone cold. The gyros pizza, 14" for $18.50, tasted ok, but was way overpriced for the amount of toppings. The other pizza was sausage and onion and was just bland, no flavor. Skip the pizzas, save your money, and get a sandwich. Or skip the whole thing. But if you go, be sure to count your change. read more

The issues with Amici Grill and Pizzeria first started when we would order a chicken pesto pasta with no chicken, but several times they had put chicken in the pasta. The person who eats that meal does not eat meat, so when there's meat directly in the meal itself, they cannot eat it. And when Amici's was made aware of the situation, they reimbursed us for the pasta. Today though unfortunately, we received a different response. We ordered a kid's grilled cheese pita sandwich dinner from Amici's, and for the first time since ordering the sandwich there was very little cheese in comparison to the other times we have ordered the same meal. We had called the restaurant to speak with the manager to let them know of how little cheese there was in the sandwich. After we informed him he replied by saying, "We only put one slice [of cheese] in the sandwich. I don't know what to tell you, I'm not going to argue about this over the phone with you." He then went on further to say how we "always call and complain about [our] meal". We do not complain every time we order a meal, but we do call or re-visit the restaurant when a mistake in our order is made, and considering the sandwich was for someone who's birthday was today, we felt it was especially necessary to do so. We would rather eat and enjoy our meal that we paid for rather than spending time and energy calling or returning to the restaurant due to not receiving what we ordered. Concerned over the response we were given over the phone by the manager, we decided to return to the restaurant with the sandwich to discuss the issue this time with the restaurant owner. When we arrived, we asked to speak with the owner. When we informed him of the issue and showed him the sandwich, he restated what the manager had told us prior over the phone. When we asked what he was going to do for us since there was what we felt was a mistake with the sandwich, he stated, "You're going to take your sandwich and get out of my restaurant!" We decided to leave the sandwich at the restaurant, as it was not what we expected from our order, and said enjoy. It was then while we were leaving he said, "Enjoy your meal!" We generally eat from Amici's every week, and have done so for a few years now, and it is fair to say that we spend anywhere from $1100 to $2600 a year on meals from the restaurant depending on our order. It is also fair to say that unfortunately due to the responses we received from the Amici Grill and Pizzeria management and ownership, our family will not be returning. read more

This review is base off two phone conversations. I haven't actually eaten here. I called once for delivery; I literally live 4 minutes away by car. They asked for my address and the name of the apartment complex I live in. I was placed on hold then someone came back on the line to tell me their driver was in an accident and they couldn't deliver to me. The next time I called once again after asking for my address then clarifying the name of the apartment complex I live in I was told they don't deliver to me. I asked why since I was so close and asked what their delivery area was but the young lady on the phone just repeated they can't deliver to me. A Greek meets an Italian and they get married and create Amici's Grill and Pizzeria. This place offers sandwiches, pizza and pasta. I was with a group and we ordered the Greek pizza, it arrived with heaping toppings of feta cheese, black olives and a sauce that was amazing. Best of all it was a thin crust pizza, the menu says for two people, but it would really feed 4 people and everyone would be stuffed. A full beer and wine menu. Fountain soda and water. You have to order at the counter, which I feel that table side service is better but that is just me. We grabbed our drinks and headed to their outside seating area. It was very nice, but I was extremely grateful that I had bug spray in my car because the bugs were eating me as quickly as I was trying to eat our pizza. We have ordered from Amici's many times. Never eaten in the place itself, usually have it delivered. We just ordered for the last time tonight. They said delivery should be within an hour, took almost an hour and a half. By the time we did get the food the garlic knots were undercooked.
