The staff is great. They must cover their mouth and nose with the mask. Partial coverage is unacceptable.

But, I have to say that the meals prepared by Giuseppe (Joe) and staff are the most satisfying.

It's a pizza truck nestled in the back of a brewery serving up some serious dough. The crust is super thin and crispy. The sauce is so flavorful. You can taste the freshness of the tomatoes, garlic, and the herbs. Even though it was super sauced up, the crust didn't get soggy at all! The slices are on the bigger side too, so I'd highly recommend coming with a group to order another pie flavor to mix and match. You can use the space of the brewery to eat your pizza while enjoying some drinks. The interior is very bright and airy. It seems they're trying to open up their own brick and mortar so I am definitely looking forward to that!

The pizza was solid - very thin with no flop, a distinctive sauce, and nice cheese. Not necessarily my style on the dough - it was the kind of dough with a bumpy bottom for lack of a technical term, and the crisp was good but not the kind of char that I prefer. No indictment on the pizza though, as it was definitely solid if not my preferred style. Can't go wrong with the chocolate chip cookie either!

We had Greg as our server and I have to say, he really made our night. From the moment he came to our table he was warm, funny, and genuinely made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. He knew the menu inside and out and when I was torn between two dishes he gave me the best recommendation without hesitation. He checked in at all the right times without ever feeling intrusive and just had this great energy that set the tone for the whole evening. Honestly Greg alone is a reason to go back. The food was so good too. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were way more generous than I expected. We got specialty cocktails to start and they were so good we ordered another round. Dinner was delicious but the highlight for me was the homemade pistachio cheesecake for dessert. I am not even a big dessert person but that cheesecake was something else. I am still thinking about it today. If you are looking for a great night out on Long Island, just go to Mama's. You will not regret it!

** THE FOOD WAS GOOD. THE SERVICE WAS ABYSMAL **…read more This is a beautiful restaurant and I wish I could base this review on aesthetics alone. My family and I are still reeling from our experience here this week. The food here is very good. We all agreed. Unfortunately, we also agreed that the "service" was about the worst we can remember having anywhere. Our server was a male, perhaps mid 40s, light hair, little ponytail, not very tall. We did not get his name. Right from the beginning we noticed something seemed off about him. He was rushing, was clearly agitated, aggressive, and rudely interrupted us when we attempted to ask questions. Appetizer salads arrived at our table even before we were finished ordering our dinners (we still had menus) and when we asked him to *please* slow down, that we wanted to enjoy the dinner, he raised his voice and got visibly angry. We saw him walk away, throw up his hands and shake his head, all in plain view of us. His behavior continued throughout our meal and made the entire experience so unpleasant and uncomfortable. When he brought over a bowl of soup, he said, very loud and sarcastically, "There's a spoon there for ya!" Honestly, he seemed so worked up, I was worried he was going to dump the thing in my lap. Dude clearly has issues he brought to work with him. We also noticed this person openly coughing into his hands, rubbing his nose, and then serving food to another table. (We did mention this to another server as that is pretty disgusting.) We were celebrating a birthday and when we came in we asked the host at the door to please put a candle in whatever dessert we ordered. We provided a bag with a candle. Well, we ordered dessert, but the candle was MIA. Nothing, nada. When we left, they gave us back the bag, but the candle was missing. (!) By this point we weren't even surprised. (And they told us the candle had been in the dessert. It definitely wasn't) One star is for the food, the other is for the kind woman with the long dark hair who also tended to our table for the first hour or so. This is clearly a nice restaurant with a good reputation and good food, but sadly, our visit was terrible; a very bad experience and one we wish we could forget.

I originally wanted the Neapolitan, but after seeing the Margherita, we changed our minds and it was the right choice. OMG, wow! The crust had the perfect crunch, the fresh ingredients were full of flavor, and every bite was better than the last. Even with its unique pickup concept, there's something fun and exciting about the whole experience that makes it feel like you're in on one of Long Island's best-kept secrets. Hands down, this is the best pizza I've had on Long Island. I can't wait to come back and try the Neapolitan next time!

Mikes Underground Pizza just slid into my Number One Spot for the best pizza on Long Island. There's a lot of quirks to piss people off to get at this pizza. My father in law in Florida wouldn't have the patience to pull off this caper. -Coming from the north shore to drive south, *1000 Montauk Hwy* on the Tesla Nav will not bring you to the location, I was at the hospital in Islip. You have to put West Babylon at the end -And it's *Cash ONLY*. Now that we have the pleasantries out of the way, let's continue with the review. The 14" Clam Pie is a game changer. I've waited on very long lines at Frank Pepe's in New Haven to get their clam Apizza. It's good but Mikes Pizza is far superior. Simple with freshly shucked clams, garlic and breadcrumbs, now add the crust that a comes from a true New York pizzaiolo who doesn't cut the pizza Connecticut style (like it came out of a slasher film) and now you have a competition pizza that Dave Portnoy would give a 9.4. The Vodka Round was equally impressive. The sauce was so complex, first bite I could tell it was a home run, out the box (see what I did there) a winner. Here's my issue, I drove from the North Shore to the South Shore to an abandoned bank parking lot to get at this pizza. I know the business model is working for you but it doesn't for the customers. I have a plan! Listen, I'm ready to retire. I'm thinking about the next few years driving on the Belt Parkway to Bay Ridge and it gives me night terrors. Let's do this together! By Stony Brook, the college kids will go wild! All kidding aside, Number one pizza on Long Island. March 2026
