We came here a few nights ago as a little family. We sat in the back in the restaurant area. The staff is so friendly, treats you like family. We ordered a flute of wine and had some appetizers. It was very quiet after a long Saturday. I had the eggplant rollatini , which was amazing. The bread was fresh. The pasta was good. They give you a side of pasta with some red sauce. The chicken Parmesan was good as well. My friends come here all the time and highly recommended it. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you're with family. read more

I don't know why I haven't written a review about this place because it's been here for years. so they must be doing something right. it's a nice spot where you can take out your food or sit in the nice dining area. I ordered the veal Parmesan hero that was cooked perfectly with a light coating of sauce and mozzarella cheese, it was so good. I also had the beet salad with goat cheese cranberries and a lot of other delicious ingredients. wifey had the Sicilian slices and she said they had a nice crust on the outside and the cheese and sauce were very good. read more

We just moved to the area and we had ordered 2 1/2 size pasta for both our boys. They don't eat that much since they're only two and three we call a week later to order the same dishes we ordered which is half size pasta, a full pasta, and a few slices of pizza. They act like we're speaking Chinese when we reiterate that we're ordering 2/ half size pasta and that we had done it the week prior. The guy transferred me to another guy so I repeat myself and basically the guy says well they might've done you a favor because we don't do that here. I've always loved Imperial Pizza. I just wish they had delivery personnel. Not Uber Eats or any of those other delivery services. I prefer to tip the delivery person that is employed by the restaurant instead of being upcharged because i'm using a delivery service. That being said, when I'm in the area and looking for a bite to eat, I stop in imperial. They never disappoint, and they always have zeppollis. A lot of pizzerias don't carry them anymore. read more

Food and atmosphere amazing! The only server they have however, is horrific! His name is Ernie. He mumbles under is breath comments as he walks away or is by register. He also is snappy. He is only nice when he brings the Bill. He has been rude to my family and neighbors said the same. They need to get rid of him. Many of us won't go to eat in there because of him. read more

Awesome restauraunt in the back of a pizzeria ! Sometimes those are the hidden gems and this one is for sure . My boyfriend took me here and said this is where he had most of his family dinners as a kid. I could see the nostalgia in his eyes. We ordered two dinner entrees which come with a house salad. The house salad dressing is THE BOMB. I could drink that stuff and they do sell it if interested. For my entree I got the chicken parm which was delicious and my boyfriend got the eggplant rolitini which was honestly one of the best I've ever had. I am 45 years old. imperial was my place growing up. Friday was pizza night from imperial. as I grew older I continued to go there all the time. there was a man when I was younger- he had dark hair but with a gray streak in it. he was my favorite and always knew who I was. He was pretty handsome as well. I'm sure he has retired at this point - bittersweet. I moved to Vegas in 1996 and missed imperial so so much. I went back several times to get my fix of their amazing pizza. today, I still live in Vegas. but nothing has ever come even close to the food from imperial. every time I go back to NY it is 100% mandatory that I eat at imperial. I was there a year ago and I can tell you that the food is still amazing. this place is classic. my hope is that the same family still runs the place. they we're always like family and I hope there are families now experiencing the same joy that I did as a kid every time I ate there. you guys are amazing and I miss that SO much read more

I have to say my family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years ,the food is great. yesterday On the other hand was such a horrible experience ordering. We placed an order and the gentleman said it would be an hour an hour and 15 minutes goes by and we get a call from the driver saying he's lost and don't know where he is .we called the restaurant so that we can cancel the order and we will go pick up a fresh order because by the time the pizza got to us it will be cold and not fresh. Once we picked it up ,there was no apology from the manager or any kind of nice service to overlap what we had to deal with, not even free garlic knots .were not asking for a handout, but as a business for any inconvenience, it would be nice even get an apology. Nicer service to regular patrons is very important, the manager needs to be kinder or someone else needs to take his place. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews during these hard times for all businesses. I met my brother here for our long awaited pizza date. It seemed like a good mid point between his home in Nassau County and mine in Suffolk. i hadn't eaten here in many years. I have to say I was greatly disappointed in the regular pizza which had little flavor and the white pizza with crust so well done crust it ruined the experience. I went into the restaurant tonight to ask about ordering an item that is not on their regular menu to go, Normally my wife and I would eat there on Tuesdays Pasta Night. We could not eat in tonight so I asked if the pasta dish I normally order could be made to go. The staff member told me no, they could not make it to go, that it is only for the pasta night menu period, I was not asking for anything special price wise they have the ingredients and being a regular customer I do not know why it could not be made to go. Doesn't require any special prep to do that. I used to love their pizza and dinners here. It was one of our local go to spots. Unfortunately the last 4 times they managed to terribly mess up our orders (BAD) and the last 2 pizza deliveries, the cheese was a disaster, stuck to the top of the box, and blatantly uncared for. I've been going to this pizzeria since I was a pre teen (I'm 31 now) and it has always been a solid pizzeria. Very consistent and always friendly. Me and my boyfriend went today and were indecisive on what to get so we got 3 different slices. The kind man with slick black hair who was working behind the counter sliced all 3 in half for us. This is the last straw! I regret ever giving them my business and it has been over 15 years of loyal patronage. As I write this review, I really can't explain why I have spend thousands of dollars and continued to go there all these years. Their customer service has always sucked. The owner and his wife are rude and unwelcoming, which must be their business model because the rest of their staff is usually unhappy and unwelcoming. I don't think I've ever seen anyone that works in that place smile. They act as if they are doing you a favor when you purchase something from them. They never admit a mistake and blame the customer instead. Additionally, their food is ridiculously over priced. If you order three chicken parm meals to go you are easily dropping $90 bucks. We recently order from LaFamilia in Babylon and paid roughly $60 for a comparably sized meal, however the food at LaFamilia was vastly more tasty. Today, I literally order the same thing I have order over the past 15 plus years a chicken parm meal with tortellini al a vodka and I was sent Alfredo sauce instead and when I called to tell them I was told that "I took the order myself and you did order Alfredo sauce but I'll make you the vodka sauce." This is extremely odd because in 15+ years I may have order Alfredo sauce from them once because the one time I had it it was oily and gross. After basically calling me a liar or stupid, the owner acted like I was out of my mind for getting upset because he was going to make me the tortellini al a vodka. He clearly is NOT a man of principles because he couldn't understand that it wasn't about the food at this point, but rather it was about his unapologetic and disrespectful attitude. I even told him not to bother bringing the new food, but he said he would like he was doing me a favor, which is pretty much the way they act all the time. Imperial is a neighborhood restaurant that doesn't appreciate its customers. The service and attitude of the owner are deplorable. We have had multiple terrible experiences at Imperial and I have told my wife multiple times why do we buy food from them and now I will no longer need to ask that question because I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM THEM and knowing them they won't care because they don't respect or appreciate their customers and hopefully the rest of the community will wise up and not waste 15+ years giving their hard earned money to people who don't give two shits about their customers. The name Imperial is the perfect name for that place because the owner truly believes that he is an emperor! Hopefully, his empire will crumble like all the others because of his hubris. read more

Been eating pizza here for many years. Great selection of pies and slices to choose from. My favorite is the bruschetta which is a Sicilian slice with no cheese, but loaded with diced tomatoes and fresh basil. Super crisp crust. It's the perfect pizza. I like that they serve it on a real plate with a knife and a fork. The pepperoni pinwheels are superb, as are the rice balls which are a meal in themselves. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. Went in for a bbq slice which i think are really good there. They didnt have any so i settled on a grandma slice, which looked good. Now, I had 5 dollars in my pocket, so I also got 6 little pepperoni bites. I dunno bout you, but I figured 4 dollars and change for this order, one slice (no toppings) and 6 little pieces of dough with ONE pepperoni in them. The guy at the counter tells me, $7.01! Came here with my girlfriends. The pizza slices are HUGE!!! They also have all kinds of wonderful pizza slices I haven't seen anywhere else. I picked out an eggplant parm slice. It was delicious. Eggplant parm on pizza is a wonderful wonderful thing! The eggplant was cooked well, the cheese, sauce and eggplant ratio were put together properly. I also sampled the garlic knots. They were different from your average garlic knot. There was no greasy goodness, they were more natural, not overly cooked, not too soft, just right. Just received an order for chicken piccata. Very unhappy with the presentation and taste. It has no taste at all and it looks like the chicken was boiled. Called and asked for the manager, person on the phone asked if he could help. Described my displeasure with the order and he informed me that I should have asked how it was made. He went on to tell me how they prepare the chicken, by pounding it out, then soaking it in wine then add capers. The chicken was not pounded, it was thick chucks of chicken. My current favorite pizza place on Long Island. I drive from mastic beach just to eat here. The place is very comfortable and the service is great. The pizza is just simply delicious! The regular slice is perfectly crispy and very large slices. But imperial really stands out with its specialty slices. My favorite is the cold cut pizza! I'm not a big fan of cold cut sandwiches but this pizza is awesome! So much flavor you have to try it! Also my other favorite is the stuffed crust pizza, just a regular slice but the crust is filled with cheese it's so good.
