My wife and I ordered delivery, a Sicilian Pizza and Chicken Florentine. The pizza was delicious! The Chicken Florentine was horrible! The dish was very bland and tasteless. The pasta was very overdone and mushy. There was no sauce, no butter, no wine, it was like the cook put the mushy fettuccine in the container, put steamed spinach and mozzarella on top, and put chicken breast on top of that. Tasteless, bland, overcooked mushy pasta, with no sauce and no flavor. We called and spoke to the manager, who was very nice. He offered to make us a new order with extra sauce and send it. We declined. So he put a credit in our name, so we will get a free entree next time. I must say this is not our usual experience, but it was very disappointing. read more

We went last night (a Thursday) for dinner. The place was empty. (One other table arrived after us.) Our waitress was quick to bring our beverages. She returned after about 3 minutes for our order. We hadn't looked at the menu yet. She asked if we needed another minute. She didn't return for half an hour. The table that was seated after us was served and left before she returned to take our order. She made a point to avoid eye contact. The remainder of her time was spent chatting at the counter with a delivery driver. I'd have called her out on her behavior but she's the one who would bring our food to the table. We were apparently being punished for not being ready to order. The restaurant also appeared to not have the heat on. It was difficult to enjoy our evening. My meal was ice cold within minutes of being served. I doubt I would return. read more

I was so excited to order...I live a block away from Canal Street, I live down the street on Delaware Ave. I was refused delivery service because I was "out of range" I am a 7 minute drive from the location. I was told on the phone that the cut off point is Canal Street...how do they not deliver one more block away? Came in with some friends one evening for an outing that wouldn't cost us all too much money. We were in the mood for some genuine Italian pizza. We came in as a group of about 10, and we were seated promptly. We had called ahead to let the restaurant know that a larger group would be coming. Some of us had called ahead to let them know that we wanted certain pizza pie flavors ready when we came. We were served our beverages and brought out some fresh Italian bread when we were first seated. Within about 20 minutes, the pre-ordered pies as well as some additional items that we ordered were brought out. The waitress serving us as well as another server who I believe was the owner were both friendly and accommodating. The two menu items the I had tried were the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the White Pizza with Spinach and Garlic. I was impressed by the flavor quality of both items. The white pizza had a nice thin crust, but the toppings and cheese were extremely fresh and flavorful. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was extremely large and hearty. I like that the restaurant did not skimp with the chicken topping. I found that the Buffalo Chicken Pizza was extremely filling. After one slice of each pizza flavor, I was stuffed. Overall, the group I came with all enjoyed our food quality and experience. We were additionally able to use a coupon to take 20% off our entire bill, which was great. This is by far the BEST pizza we have had so far in Bucks. I love that they allow half and half of the specialty pizza. Best Buffalo Chicken pizza we had in our entire life. I've lived near this place for 7 years and just started coming here this past year. Pizza is made the traditional way and is FABULOUS. Dinner entrees are excelent as well and are big enough for my boyfriend and I to split - so that' a money saver. I was disappointed to see that for $16+ the order included pasta and two very small chicken breast. Do we need huge portions, no, but they charge less. Their freshly baked rolls, that were included with our order, were amazingly good. Actually dangerously good since they are very hard to resist. My chicken Marsala, again while flavored well, was anemic portion wise for the price. So over all the flavors are good the value is not as high as I would expect for the price charged. Villa Rosa was a regular stop in my early years in Bucks County, but as Newtown evolved into a community with many good restaurants, the need to travel to Lower Makefield (not Yardley), became an unnecessary time expense. Last night I was driving back from a meeting and found myself hungry and very near Villa Rosa, and decided to stop in and have something light. I ordered an Eggplant Parm sandwich. It arrived a few minutes later in the hands of a pleasant server. Although the store was scheduled to close in 30 minutes I felt no pressure to eat quickly, and my server returned a few times to check on my satisfaction. The meal itself was quite good. The Eggplant was very thinly sliced and lightly sautéed in olive oil before placement in the Torpedo Roll for toasting in the oven. It was not breaded and held up well with the Mozza and Red Gravy. The Roll itself was crisped nicely before arrival. I normally just eat the innards and have only a few bites of the bread, which is what I did this time. It was as filling as I needed it to be. Overall, I was satisfied with my repast, and will have no hesitancy to return next time in the area. We ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni with a half dozen garlic knots. The pizza had a nice, crispy crust with the perfect amount of chewiness. The sauce was great, not too sweet and it was well cooked! Nice and thin as well, not too doughy. The garlic knots were good, they certainly didn't skimp on the garlic! This restaurant is FILTHY, which is bad enough, but the worst part is that the owner doesn't care. I went in this afternoon with my sons for an early dinner. There was literally not a soul in the restaurant except for the manager and a handful of employees. We ordered and went to sit in the section reserved for quick service only to find EVERY table dirty. I went over to the counter and asked them to please wipe down the table. The manager gruffly told me to move to another table. I told him that ALL of the tables were dirty. The placemats has been used at each table and there crumbs and grease on every single table. He said something unintelligible, which I assumed was about his intention to come wipe off the table in short order. In fact, the boys' food came out, they ate it and he never came over to clean the tables. A female server walked in so I asked to speak with the manager. She pointed to the man who had already ignored my request. She asked what the problem was so I told her. She went over to tell the manager that the tables were dirty. He shrugged and said "Its self-Service over there," as of the customers are responsible for cleaning the tables. It wasn't our first time there but it will surely be the last. If they willingly tolerate dirt in the dining room, I can only imagine what they tolerate in the kitchen. read more

Good was hot, filled with flavor, and hit the spot. My guests had multiple slices and raved how good the pizza was. Sonya is a server at the establishment and is a total sweetheart. The vodka rigatoni tasted like butter and fat and nothing good. The shrimp francese was a muddled mess (and what was with that gravy?). The only thing I enjoyed was the side of ziti with sauce.
