I made a quick stop here while I was working near by. Their special for any two slices and a small drink for $5.99 wasn't bad. When I get back into my work truck I took a quick bite of one of the slices and it was warm around the edges but it was so cold in the center. Being pressed for time on a my break, I just decided to keep going and eat the cold pizza. They have a really good Brooklyn pie. We order it, for pick up, at least once a month. The pie is thin, sauce sweet, and it just the right amount of mozzarella and basil. I honestly have never tried anything else from this restaurant, nor have I ever eaten in. This is a review of Plain Pizza Slices served at lunch. While the reheat did a good job firming/crisping the crust so that the point held up and provided a firm bite, the remainder of the experience was somewhat of a letdown. The sauce was on the salty side, while I prefer a sweeter, more basil flavor tone. The cheese was ample, but without much taste to contribute to overall dining pleasure. Two slices and a soft drink came in under $7.00, but the same can be had a several other places for at least a buck less. Reviews say that their cheesesteak is the way to go at Venezia, but when the standard tomato pie is so ordinary and uninspired, I would not elect to return to give something else a try. There are too many better choices in the vicinity. Venezia does not make the cut for a quality pizza slice. read more

This is our go to pizza restaurant whenever we go to Pennsylvania. Absolutely the best New York style pizza in the area. Plenty of cheese and nice thin crust. They also have very good cheesesteaks so sometimes it is hard to decide which to get! During these covid times we have also enjoyed take out entrees. The pizza was alright. They use canned mushrooms that taste pickled and are really soft. A slice of pizza was waaaay too expensive at almost $3.50 for a slice of specialty pizza that didn't have many toppings on it and was pretty small compared to other places that have a larger slice for $3.00. The best pizza in the area! Excellent NJ-style pizza with delicious crust and quality ingredients. I highly recommend their cheese steaks as well. My favorite buffalo chicken cheese steak in the area. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is because some of their other items are a bit lacking. The subs are OK, but not quite on the level I would expect from a place with such great pizza. I don't care for their wings, but I am pretty particular about how I want them. Ordered seven pizzas through GrubHub for a birthday party. Included in the notes that the party was being held in a park with only one pavilion. If one is from the area who they are delivering with they would know where I was anyway. We've been coming to Venezia's for as long as I can remember and they've never disappointed! They've become our regular pizza destination every week. The service is always great, the two owners are as sweet as can be, and the food is superb. You can't really base your experience here off of the by-the-slice pizza, because it really doesn't do this place justice. Our favorite dish, by far, is the brooklyn pizza. You have to order the brooklyn and eat it fresh in the restaurant. It's easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had (and take-out doesn't do it justice. Eat it while it's hot!) Another thing Venezia excels at is their cheesesteaks (or their hot subs in general). I've lived in the area my whole life and I'm definitely no stranger to the Philly cheesesteak. I have to say, their cheesesteak definitely ranks in my list of best cheesesteaks (even if it doesn't come with whiz). Other appetizers we've had that we love include ravioli, vodka rigatoni, any of their "parm" subs (chicken, meatball, veal, eggplant, etc), and lasagna. You can always count on being served a slice or a pie wth a thin, crispy crust. The sauce is more savory/less sweet than what folks might be accustomed to in the Philly area. I would say that it is probably closer to what you might expect in Trenton or NYC. And they don't go lightly on the cheese. Simply terrible. Pizza is mediocre. Thank god for Villa Rosa around the corner that knows how to treat customers. The owner tried blaming me for his credit card system not working. Made me wait over 10 minutes and try multiple cards. This foul individual recognized me as a regular but would not let up and tried taking my credit card information to process the next day. Who would allow this?! Never once was an apology offered, and this savage ripped the pizza box off the counter to spite his face, as he felt I attacked his integrity by letting him know I was appalled for how this all went down and how long this took. Mind you, not one other person was in the restaurant. If you want to support a small business, go to Villa Rosa. You'll thank yourself! The pizza is delicious. The service is superior. My husband and I loved venezia for years. Lately we have been severely disappointed. Three times in a row our order has been incorrect or unappealing. First, we ordered a pie and two slices on the side. When we arrived, they tried to charge us for 3 pies because they got the order wrong. The second incident we ordered a pie that was so greasy and sloppy that it was unedible and our order of calamari had less than 10 rings that were rubbery and gross. The last straw was when I ordered two veal parms over the phone. The person taking our order said they were out of veal so I switched to chicken. When my husband arrived they claimed I never ordered even though I clearly did because I knew they didn't have veal. We were once loyal customers and we will never go to here again read more
