Let me start by saying I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. The service was nice and the people were very friendly, which is always nice. The ordering station looked nice and clean. They have a carry out special for $6 plus $1 per topping. It's a reasonable deal so I ordered it. I also ordered garlic knots. I was surprised to hear marinara costs .95 to add on. With that said, I don't know how much you get for that, but I wasn't willing to try. I did feel a bit nickeled and dimed for things. In terms of the food. The pizza was between ok and good. The crust didn't taste homemade, but didn't taste old either. The sauce was good and the toppings were your typical generic toppings. Nothing high quality, but not low quality either. Clear they were not homemade or non-processed. It was reasonable for the $8.00 for the pizza. The quintessential question is would I order the pizza again, yes I would. The garlic knots are a bit of a different story. They are little croissant dough balls tied in a knot smothered in oil and garlic. They were excessively chewy and not what I expected or used too. The oil saturated the garlic knots so they were excessively chewy and oily. With all this, you can see my debacle between 3 and 4 stars. I really wanted to love this place, but I only liked it. I think fresh homemade dough would take it from ok to good. Higher quality ingredients that don't taste processed would make it great. If you don't t feel like eating Papa Johns, Domino's or Pizza Hut then this is an alternative to that. As the "highest rated" pizzeria in Temple I must tell you not to get your hopes up. It's not bad, but it sure isn't knock your socks off good either. The staff is friendly, which is good but not enough to carry the place over the finish line for 4 Stars. The wing election is slightly above average but the pizza offerings to me are bland - especially any sort of veggie pizza or calzone, because the vegetables taste raw and uncooked. The atmosphere is meh, and the ketchup comes in packets which for some reason is a putt off for me if I'm eating inside a restaurant. Worst pizza I've ever tasted! It was extremely soggy and drenched in grease. My poor kids ate out of pity because they didn't know better. The wings tasted like it's been microwaved. Initially the service was good and was greeted when we got there, but the waiter, bless her heart, I think was new. Once upon a time I LOVED this place! The service was great it was never crowed the food was AMAZING and the prices are good! Every two to three week for a few months the wife and I would get a baby sitter for our children and go sit down for a beer or two some wings and garlic knots maybe a calzone and it was a great night! The last two times we have eaten here they have 100% dropped the ball! We took some friends from out of town in to have a delicious quiet dinner and left apologizing to our friends because we were so thrown off by our experience. There was maybe one other person during that time and we couldn't even get a second round of beer because no one ever came back to the dining area and it was not late or anywhere near closing. We even ended up stepping behind the counter in the dining area and getting our own to-go boxes. The most recent encounter we had ended badly aswell. My wife and I tried it again despite our last experience and our waitress was sweet but so nervous and not organized (I think). I order some pasta and wings and my wife order a calzone. we ordered garlic knots for an appetizer and they were delicious as we expected them to be but they had a HAIR in them. We didn't mention the hair at first because we understand it happens, and let's be honest and point out the obvious it's not a "fancy" restaurant. When our food was brought out the pasta wasn't with it so I asked if the pasta was coming out because that's what I was eating and we were sharing the wings and the waitress said it was on its way that they do it last ?!? She went to the kitchen and comes back out to say they were out of noodles... I asked her if she forgot to put the ordeR in original and she was stumbLing over her words and couldn't puta sentence together that made sense. We felt bad for her because she had seems to do a good job until that point. After eating some wings and a calzone my wife had drank about a quarter of her drink and noticed black Stuff around the edge of her plastic dollar general cup (I bought the ones for my house from the same exact store) she brought it to the front counter to let them know their dishes are dirty and got a very rude attitude from the manager and remarks like "what, do you want money of". Meanwhile from the counter you can see the cooks eating garlic knots out of the baskets with their bare hands. We didn't want money off our meal, the prices are not high at all. We wanted the manager to realize certain standards of the health department were not being met but I think she already knew it. read more

This pizza is a step above frozen pizza and only because it comes hot. The reviews had me expecting at least decent pizza however that is not the case! The pizza sauce was not at all remarkable the cheese didn't taste like that fresh mozz melt in your mouth flavor. The toppings weren't cooked all the way and some of the toppings barely showed up on the pizza. I know this is in the middle of nowhere but DO NOT have any expectations of good pizza. read more

We have ordered from Villa Rosa Pizza for delivery regularly through their website without issue. Tonight we ordered and paid online as usual and about 10 minutes later were called and told they would not deliver because we are NOW out of their delivery area and that we could come get it or they would refund our money in 3-5 days. I asked to speak to the manager and told her that was unacceptable. That they needed to honor the order until they got their website updated to reflect the new delivery range. They accepted my money and they now needed to do what they promised to do. We have been loyal to them and they need to be loyal to us. The manager was rude and very hateful. She would offer no solution and said that it was not her problem. She was canceling the order and I would get my 50 dollars back when I got it back. She then laid the phone down and refused to discuss it further. Please keep in mind this poor management and treatment of customers when considering using this business. read more

Got a call saying that no matter what their website said, they were not going to deliver and that they had cancelled the order. Asked if I could just pick up the order, they said that I would have to reorder and they would double tap my bank account because they had already charged my account for the first order and I would simply have to wait 3 to 7 business days to get the money back. The boneless wings are awesome. The pizza is New York style, more so than Johnny's! This is definitely your ma and pa place. Even though its a pizza shop, you know everyone in there. I can understand the type of atmosphere they want to present. Some days they are playing alternative music, next they are playing Italian music. Makes me chuckle. Inside is a kinda strange set up, they want to make it a decent Italian restaurant but it doesn't lay out that way, its mixed with a bar feel. Their menu is poor, not a whole lot of choices, so they live up to their name.. Pizza and Wings. For this small town, this place suits it. They have your standard beer.. Horrible horrible horrible, if I could give them a zero star I would . Went there to eat but while there we left behind an expense pair of sunglasses. Called the very next day and inquired about them and was told that they were in fact found but they did not know which employee actually had them at the time BUT they did in fact acknowledge that they had seen them . We gave them our information and asked that as soon as they figured out who had them to please call us so that we could come and pick them up . Well a week goes by and we hear nothing from them so today we returned to inquire about them . When we were there we asked to speak to the owner because we wanted to find out what ever happened to the glasses and to speak to the actual person in charge . The girl at the register went behind a partition but we could hear her every word being said and when she said that someone ( a paying customer ) wanted to speak to her, she the owner replied " take a message I'm too busy " , first of all I could not believe that she said that,there we were in the flesh not on a telephone ! So I spoke up and told the girl " tell her we need to speak to her and we are right here " she again repeated what she said to the owner and the owner said " tell them to wait a moment " which we did . When she came around from the partition we explained everything that I mentioned above and her initial reaction was " they were here but I don't know where they are and I WASNT HERE " . I said to her that "regardless of whither you were here or not your the owner and should know what's going on in your own place of business so pleading ignorance is no excuse"to which she again said " well I don't know anything about that I wasn't here" . I said to her that that wasn't good enough you have our glasses and we would like them back and even gave her the names of the two different employees that we had spoken to that told us the glasses were in fact there. I could not believe that she yet again for a third time and this time with a real crappy attitude said " well I already told you I don't know anything about them and your being a dick ". I replied "I'm being a dick , no it's you who is actually the dick here treating us like this as your customer base you should at least act like you care about your customers" . She actually said this to me with other customers sitting right there hearing The Whole thing, talk about unprofessional ? Then she just went back behind the partition and totally blew us off like we weren't even there . I was amazed that the owner of a business would act so rudely to its customer base . She did not make any attempt to appease us with something as simple as " we are sorry that we don't know where or what happens to your glasses but we would like to offer you a free meal on the house" or anything remotely close to that . After all of that to add insult to injury the girl at the register walked around from behind the counter and opened the door and in a snarly way, said " goodbye now " in essence telling me to leave .
