I ordered the party pizza. I was told 50 minutes till it's ready. I got there after about 40 minutes and it had been sitting for 10 minutes already. Went to pay, expecting the price to be about $22, since the website said $17.99 plus toppings. The actual price was $33. I asked the girl why it was so much higher than the website, and she said they don't update it. Got home and tried a slice, it was cold, floppy and nothing special. This is a large family style Pizzeria located just off the University of West Georgia Campus. There is nothing fancy here. Kind of Divey looking. Stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of my wife's co-worker. You walk up to their counter and order. The menu has various Pizza selections, wings, various sandwiches and salads. My wife ordered a small 12" Pepperoni Pizza and I had an order of 6 wings And two drinks. Total $13. Prices are good. They do not serve Beer. Frankly it was mediocre, average... nothing Special! The Wings seem like they came out of a frozen Cisco bag and were heated in their Pizza oven. The Pizza was just a bare step above frozen grocery store pizza. You take a number and they bring it out to your table pretty quickly. There was a group of ladies on the other side of the restaurant with small kids that they allowed to run wild screaming throughout the restaurant. The restaurant personnel did nothing to curb this huge annoyance. If you can't control your kids... stay home! I have 6 kids and 14 grand kids! I want to vent a bit here... not necessarily about this place. I really find it hard to believe that any restaurant in America can serve mediocre food these days. There are many TV shows you can watch like Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives etc. that show you great examples of many dishes. Why don't restaurant owners just copy the best from these kinds of shows and build their Menu off of that. It's not Rocket Science! Success will come! Maybe they are just lazy? I regret that I didn't think to take a picture of the food, definitely pretty. First, it didn't go perfectly. The employees are polite and friendly, but out of our group everyone's food got to the table at a different time. Like they were cooking each thing one dish at a time. It was 2-3-5 minutes apart and some items got lost. They made it right and were extremely polite. That calzone!!! Man that was so freaking good! The dough was so light. I like calzones, but honestly you have one the next is about the same. Not this. It was large, it was full end to end and with that that crust! It was like a heavier croissant? I don't know how to describe it except bad ass. Then that marinara. I'm thinking about asking it to marry me. Perfect pairing. Greek salad too. Fresh, delicious dressing and exceptional feta. Went around 2:00 on a Saturday and there was no one in the restaurant. Suppose the lunch rush just ended. Several tables were dirty. Music was good. Ordered butterballs (which I hear is what they're known for?) And the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. The butterballs: will not order again. They were tough, not soft. And they have salt on them. Like large pretzel balls. We asked for marinara to dip them in. Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza: MUST HAVE! Definitely the redemption for the butterballs. I would eat this again. Called in a calzone for carry out. The girl that picked up the phone was rude, she mumbled when she talked and obviously lacked the ability to follow basic instructions (welcome to this generation of college students, lol). The food the last 3 times has been mediocre...my husband and I have been coming here for about 8 yrs. He's met and talked to the owners, great couple...but something has changed recently and not for the better. The prices are insane now too. We're paying more money for bad service and mediocre food...it's going to be a long while before we come back again, maybe they will get it together, maybe they won't, but if not it'll be a cold day in hell before we spend another dollar there. read more

My boyfriend and I love American pie. We always get an extra large pizza with salads and a dessert pizza. We tried the buffet once and we probably won't try it again. We've gone several times during different hours of the day and I must say DO NOT go during lunch hour. The pizza is rushed, the topping are slim to none and it's really over crowed. The best time to go is later in the evening between 3-5 everything tastes as it should. I'll be visiting again very soon. read more

The pizza here was really good. I wouldn't say was the best I ever had. But Overall it was pretty good. The restaurant itself is wide open bench seating. Lots of TVs everywhere. There are some family games. I watched two separate families bring out almost 20 pies to take home. Obviously very popular and a great place for families and kids. We ordered the cheese Pizza and a chicken pizza. A 15 inch pie should cover you for two people maybe three. Or you can go with an 18 inch or a 24 inch. Those would definitely cover your hunger. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. My mom and I went here for lunch after having run some errands. She was in the mood for pizza, and we wanted good pizza. Better than the chain pizzerias. She borrowed my iPhone, looked up pizzerias in Carrollton, GA, and the first one on the list was American Pie. We followed the directions, and from the minute we walked in, we knew we were in for good pizza. The staff was friendly, although I do have to ask that management train their cashiers to speak up, since we could barely hear the guy taking our order. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and sauce, and it was the best pizza we'd ever had. The prices were very reasonable, which didn't surprise us, considering it's located just a couple of miles down the road from the University of West Georgia. I noticed a lot of memorabilia from UWG and various local high schools on the wall, so I knew it was very popular with the local groups. Sorry, you big chain pizzerias, I love ya, and Imma let ya finish, but American Pie has much better pizza. I believe we will return soon and try some of the other menu items. read more

After reading the reviews here, we went for the lunch buffet. I can easily see why this place is a hit with teens, college students and families with kids. It's cheap pizza that is regularly refilled on the buffet line and there are several tv's and lots of large tables available. But it's not great tasting pizza and is comparable to CiCi's & Stevie B's to me. The crusts were very thin and the slices were all light on toppings. We had our son's first birthday in their party room. We really didn't want to grill or cook or do a lot of planning because we are busy parents, haha. Anyways, the room is huge and nice and private. I also liked that the big window in the room allowed us to see the front door so we could see when guests were arriving while keeping the door to the room shut so little guests couldn't escape. :) We had to put down a $40 deposit which would be returned if we spent $200. We didn't quite make it but they still gave the deposit back. I was shocked we didn't make the $200 but their prices are super reasonable. The manager was super helpful! The food came out fast! Everyone was full and happy! The service was awesome! I'm really happy we made the decision to do the little party at American Pie and highly recommend it to others! read more

I lived in Villa Rica for 14 years and frequented your pizza place many times. We moved earlier this year to Pensacola, FL. I had occasion to bring my son back this weekend to visit some friends. I happened to find 2 frequent eater cards in my wallet. One with 8 Stamps and one with 2 Stamps, totaling 10. I came in tonight at 8:11 pm and asked if I could combine the 2 and get the free 15 inch 2 topping pizza. To my surprise and shock I was told "no" by both young ladies who were at the register. I could not believe it and walked out. I work in the service industry and for a company that would never say "no" to a guest, especially since I had 2 cards with 10 total stamps. You have lost a customer (family) for whenever we come back to town. Worse yet I will be telling all my friends in the area to find another pizza place and find any social media way to let people know of the lack of customer service that I was offered tonight.
