Since the first day Daisy treated us very professional and nicely. She worked with my wife and me for 6 months so we could have the perfect wedding and it was everything we were expecting and more. We had a party of 160 people and all our guests were very surprised how elegant the place looked. Everything was highly coordinated. Food was amazing and the bar offered a great and fast service. DJ was on point with the music, nobody stopped dancing. Yamila the photographer spent all night taking as many pictures as possible and Daisy (ceremony master) was outstanding coordinating the ceremony and the party front the beginning to the end. I find no pleasure in giving less than satisfactory reviews but this experience literally brought me to tears. VENUE First, the changes in venue were unsettling for me and concerning for invited guests. In spite of the fact that we had a contract for the Venetian I was given no choice in the change in venue to the Fire Tower. COMMUNICATION Communication was great in the beginning but seemed to drop off significantly after the change in venue and payment was made. DECOR The decor was simplistic and not at a "professional" level. The Table cloths were wrinkled. There was no coordination among the arrangements in the centerpieces - they seem to have been just thrown together. FOOD The food was not presented as I ordered it and was served at the Tasting. The food was cold and kid sized portions. The service was slow and disorganized. There was a lot of waste because few guests ate the food and complained it was not what they were told would be served. some guests arrived 50 minutes after dinner was served and were told the kitchen was closed. DJ The DJ didn't perform to expectations even though we provided the music and instructed him to play certain songs. MISC. Many guests were disturbed by the fact that a dog was walking through the venue during the party. I am sensitive to the fact that he may have been a "service dog" but it was not what is expected during a private party. As a matter of fact, one of my guests asked if she could bring her pet and she was told "no pets allowed" only to come and see a dog present. I pride myself on organization, attention to detail, and excellent service above all. This experience has negatively impacted my reputation. Some guests have said they would not attend future events I host. You would not have been in business as long as you have if the experience we had was typical of the level of service you deliver. And I would hate to think that it was indicative of the lack of value that was placed on my business. I wish you all the best in the future and hope this review leads to a better level of service for others.

We were supposed to be let in at 4pm. 4:10 rolls around and they open the doors. Everyone gets their table numbers and of course hit up the bar. Oh but it's closed because they were still setting it up. Another 20 minutes pass by before we got a drink or a mini meatball. Finally the bar opens. Meanwhile severs start passing around appetizers. We got one round. Never saw the guy again. Then a toilet clogged. No employee bothered to fix it. So dinner comes. 2 people at one table didn't get served. No they hadn't gone to the bathroom during serving time. Server just miscounted? I don't know... But really? It comes time to finish the party and the owner tells the bride she needs to pay $350 or they shut it down. How rude, especially when they were late! She declines. The. Owner says... How about this, you pay me $250 and we don't serve alcohol because everyone is drunk anyway. What? I was floored. FYI... People weren't drunk. We're we're drinking out of 5 oz cups. So at that point, last song had to happen. We turn to get another drink... Bar was already cleaned out! No last call. Now in negotiation time... This owner will paint you the most beautiful picture. But after money is collected, it's done and she'll do whatever she wants. Btw! When it came time to pay, the owner requested Cash or check, not credit card because of a 4% charge from the bank. This is not a $5 meal. This is thousands of dollars. My recommendation, get everything you request in writing. Write notes on your contract and be proactive with this place. Don't just assume they'll take care of it because they don't care. Maybe hire a day of event wedding coordinator to make sure all the details are taken care of. Or, just have it somewhere else.

This was five years before Miami was even a city. It is the oldest civic group in Miami. Aware of the feeling of isolation that pioneer women could feel in the area Flora wanted a place where women could find fellowship and camaraderie. The club was created with the goal of "community uplift," which was achieved through fundraisers that paid for needs in the community. The club motto was "lend a hand". The promoted literacy and education. Their first project was to raise the money in 1894 for a Sunday school which later became the historic Plymouth Congregational Church. The fame of the Housekeeper's Club spread quickly. Within one year of its inception, Harper's Magazine, a major national publication, profiled the club. The Woman's club became the social hub of the city holding concerts, parties, and performances. Through the years they supported important causes like preserving the Everglades, a library, a girls ranch, cancer survivors, teaching children to swim, and canine companions. Over 100 years later the Woman's Club is still going strong and supporting civic activities in the community. Today you can rent the historic Woman's Club for weddings and private events. The building was designed by Floridas first registered architect Walter de Gamo and it was completed in 1921. The building is made of stucco, oolithic limestone, concrete, and stone. It is a rectangular shape with a gable roof and wrap around porch. In 1975 it was added to the United States national Register of Historic Places. The club has been renovated and special occasions can be booked through CG entertainment. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding here once and it was a lovely and historic venue to hold such a special event. To start the festivities off drinks were served on the portico while the wedding party completed the photos. After dinner the DJ took the stage and the dancing started. This intimate venue was dream come true. Rudy and Leslie Rowe made sure we were completely relaxed and handled all the details during the reception allowing us the luxury of being a guest instead of a stressed out host and hostess. They were provided with instructions on how we wanted everything set up many days in advance. They claimed, several times, they hadn't received it, even after confirming they had. The electricity in the barn by the bar area fails. We were hoping to have a popular coffee bar company, which we've used many times, and they told me they would not do another event there because of that issue. I ended up having my private caterer add one and sure enough the electrical outlet by the bar did not work well. The day of lady they use is useless. She and her assistant sat around while I did everything. Beautiful venue, but I cannot recommend them based on my experience. We did not use any of their vendors except for Veronica's party rental, they were great!
