Villa Wine Tour was such a great experience all around. Walter was so nice and knew so much about the area. Highly recommend him. He made sure we had a perfect lunch set up. Very nice car with plenty water. He took us to 3 different family vineyards. He introduced us to Bia at Grassini who was such a fantastic host. If you're in the Santa Barbara area I recommend Villa Wine Tour. I would do it again.

We had only 4 days in Santa Barbara and we knew we wanted to visit the very best vineyards. We got in touch with Sean at Villa Wine Tour and got to work with Karina as our tour guide! I cannot say enough amazing things about her and our experience. We requested to visit biodynamic vineyards as we prefer to drink "clean" wines and they delivered on this request! We went to 3 amazing vineyards/wineries and had a fantastic lunch of tri-tip out by the water! Karina knows her stuff and provided us with the best experience ever. I highly recommend this company and if you're able, ask for Karina!!!

In late May I booked Villa Wine Tour for 6 adults to celebrate my Dad's 75th Bday. My wife and I are regulars to wine county but we have never used a tour company. Sean, our guide, customized our day from start to finish and showed us an experience we could have never found on our own. I can't say enough good things about Villa Wine Tours.

So much fun with villa wine tours!

Just when I think the experience can't get any better, they find a way to raise the bar again. Scott has created something truly special with Sustainable Wine Tours. He has curated a one-of-a-kind experience that goes far beyond a typical wine tour. From intimate boutique wineries you would never find on your own to opportunities to meet the winemakers themselves, every stop feels authentic, personal, and thoughtfully chosen. Over the years, I've gained an incredible appreciation for wine because of these tours. The level of wine education, along with the knowledge shared about the Santa Ynez Valley, has been extraordinary. Every tour leaves me with a deeper understanding of the region, the vineyards, and the people behind each bottle. This time, Karina was our host, and she was fantastic. When she realized one of our scheduled wineries was one we had already visited, she immediately worked with Scott to arrange a different boutique winery. We would have been perfectly happy revisiting the original stop, but the fact that they made every effort to create a new experience speaks volumes about their commitment to their guests. The service is unmatched, the hospitality is genuine, and every detail is intentional. Sustainable Wine Tours has created some of our favorite travel memories, and after five tours, I can honestly say this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that somehow gets even better every time. We can't wait for number six.

Because of our schedule we could only do the afternoon tour with two wineries, but it was still a great experience. The first winery was beautiful, although the service there was a bit slow. What really stood out was that Rick went out of his way to give us recommendations for things to do afterward, which made the whole day feel very personalized. Expect scenic views, great wines, & a beautiful experience through and through. Rick offered a flexible pickup, was kind, and extremely knowledgeable about wines and the surrounding areas of Santa Ynez without being pushy at all. You also should refrain from touching people's plates and cups as you discuss and show them the food items. I understand it's a food tour, but especially when you don't have clean hands, it's highly unsanitary! It's also a good idea to not greet dogs and let them lick all over you ... your hands.... your arms AND your face while you're interacting with people who are eating food, bringing them food from the restaurant & leading a tour. It's a good idea to give people space after you give them the information about the tour and the food and the art and let them socialize with the people that they came with. We should not have experience the person who is giving the tour or learning how to give a tourist next to you constantly asking you questions about what you're eating, what you're trying, where you're from or other questions that are really irrelevant .. it is pretty annoying & doesn't allow you to enjoy the experience fully. It's not a good idea to take shortcuts, because it's easier for you as the tour guide. One of our group members ate meat. The other 2 are vegetarians, but to keep it simple or make it easier. She was repeatedly offered vegetarian options and not given the opportunity to try the meat options along the tour. This was frustrating as you were very clear when setting up the tour, what the food restrictions were, we reminded them again when we got to the beginning of the tour and also reminded along the tour. How often will we need to say it in order to get the full experience. Although the tour guide and her trainee were very nice & social, it is not likely not an experience we'll do again.

We went by the seals & birds on the dock and buoy. We saw Lil Toot taxiing passengers across the way. I might take that next time. It also provides a narrated tour. Our captain got us around without a hitch. The tour guide was the star of the show, she was so awesome! Maddy is very knowledgeable about the area and shared about the history.
