Our spirits and glasses were raised and full this weekend as we enjoyed the immense hospitality of Wine Canyon Tours. Rick is as kind as he is knowledgeable and went out of his way to make our trip one to remember. Cheers, Wine Canyon Tours, you're the toast of the town.

Professional, excellent and customized service! My bf and I had a wonderful time with Hawaiian Rick as our tour guide through the beautiful Santa Barbara wine country. He was knowledgable, personable and really listened to us to learn what wine preferences we had. The stops were on point and just stunning. Rick picked the perfect spot for us to have lunch. The food was delicious and fresh. I loved his personalized touch with the tables settings! We had such a memorable and beautiful day together! We're looking forward to doing this again soon!

Looking for one of the best (if not THE best) wine tour in Santa Barbara, Wine Canyon Tours with Rick Reeves is it. With 3 incredible stops along the way, your taste buds will dabble in the fine collections of over a dozen different wines. Looking to spice things up? There is a olive oil tasting included, which includes my favorite - Jalapeño olive oil. The hours are roughly from about 10am-4pm, which gives plenty of time for each stop + time to learn about wine country in between with behind the scenes information from Rick himself. Rick is extremely accommodating, genuine and professional. This keeps it fun & what will keep us coming back. CHECK IT OUT :)

Rick was the best tour guide showing us all the pretty views, sharing his knowledge of the area and wine, and keeping the vibes up!

Rick was the best tour guide! We had the best day, best wine, and amazing sandwiches!!! Highly recommend booking Rick for your wine tour day!

I am SO GLAD I chose Wine Canyon Tours to celebrate my 30th birthday! We had a private tour of three of the most beautiful wineries I've ever seen. It was great to not have to worry about planning or coordinating anything. Rick took care of absolutely everything. Rick was an amazing tour guide and was able to teach us about the region. We went during COVID and felt very safe. In the van, we all wore masks. All the tastings were done outside in the most beautiful places. Also, we didn't expect to enjoy the food as we did. There was a wide variety of options and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Every last detail of the tour was fantastic. I'm happy that I came home with some yummy olive oils and wine to remind me of our tour! I would absolutely do this again! I highly recommend Wine Canyon Tours!

We had a great experience with at the Santa Barbara winery's. Rick was great and provided the best service that anyone could have asked. We stopped at three places and all of them were great. We tested all the wines and had a great time. Again thank you Rick for the wonderful experience.

Hawaiian Rick is the man! We were recommended Wine Canyon Tours by friends and we couldn't have more of an amazing day and time. Rick is very knowledgeable of wine and all the vineyards in the Valley. He even customized our tour based on our wine preferences. An amazing day with a super friendly, chill and all around good guy! Will definitely come back again!

I work in the hospitality industry so I have very high standards when it comes to anything travel and leisure. Rick totally exceeded my expectations! He arrived exactly on time, in a beautiful and air conditioned buss. He was dressed professionally, super nice, accommodating and friendly. He went above and beyond every step of the way. He took us to a gorgeous lake which is pictured below, then we went to three beautiful wineries and an olive oil tasting. For lunch you get to pick anything off the menu and Rick goes to pick it up during the tasting so it's nice and fresh. He then comes prepared with plates, napkins, placemats, chips and waters. He even surprised us with an extra special treat. We felt like VIP's at the wineries because rick takes care of everything for us. Rick is very knowledgeable about wine and very friendly. We had an excellent time with him and I would highly recommend him for any type of group tasting.

We had an amazing time. Great wine tasting tour. will do it again. And will send friends and family their way.

We were taking our first trip out since COVID started and had an amazing day with Rick and Wine Canyon Tours. Visited some amazing wineries and locations. Lunch was great and the trip was casual and relaxing. Felt very safe with all the proper safety precautions as well. I would highly recommend Rick to any of my friends.

    Happy Birthday Christine!

If searching for a wine tour company, go with this one. All the positive reviews about Rick as a tour guide are pretty accurate. We went on a recent wine tour for my girl friend's birthday and had a great time. He was everything you could want in a guide: punctual, informative, fun, easy-going, accommodating and an overall great host. He was flexible and helped us change our plans when we decided we wanted to learn more about the process behind making wine. Along with our tour, we learned more about the area, were able to take some pictures in front of some beautiful sites and listen to our own tunes during the tour. I would definitely book with Rick again and recommend him if ever I needed to go on a wine tour throughout the Santa Ynez Valley.

Hawaiian Rick was the perfect guide into Santa Barbara wine country. He was very informative about the vineyards as well as the community. The tour was top notch from the very beginning. Hotel pickup and custom designed tours are something they specialize in. Every single winery was stunning, delicious and private. I will absolutely be back and request Hawaiian Rick! Amazing experience!

The first thing she did was pass out packages of popcorn from the Santa Barbara Popcorn Company for us to snack on while we were walking. The popcorn is delicious and comes in 42 flavors and is available to order for shipping, which I may do because I live in Ohio. Now for the actual tour. The food and drink variety was great. The food included octopus ceviche, schnitzel poutine, wood fired fennel sausage pizza, chicken street tacos, and ice cream, all of which were delicious. We also had a couple types of beer, wine, and spirits. It was so much fun to walk through the streets with 8 new friends and stop for great food and drink. Kayla also gave us some history of the area and pointed out several beautiful wall paintings. The area was beautiful. This was a great tour and a great time. I highly recommend Eat this, Shoot that.

You also should refrain from touching people's plates and cups as you discuss and show them the food items. I understand it's a food tour, but especially when you don't have clean hands, it's highly unsanitary! It's also a good idea to not greet dogs and let them lick all over you ... your hands.... your arms AND your face while you're interacting with people who are eating food, bringing them food from the restaurant & leading a tour. It's a good idea to give people space after you give them the information about the tour and the food and the art and let them socialize with the people that they came with. We should not have experience the person who is giving the tour or learning how to give a tourist next to you constantly asking you questions about what you're eating, what you're trying, where you're from or other questions that are really irrelevant .. it is pretty annoying & doesn't allow you to enjoy the experience fully. It's not a good idea to take shortcuts, because it's easier for you as the tour guide. One of our group members ate meat. The other 2 are vegetarians, but to keep it simple or make it easier. She was repeatedly offered vegetarian options and not given the opportunity to try the meat options along the tour. This was frustrating as you were very clear when setting up the tour, what the food restrictions were, we reminded them again when we got to the beginning of the tour and also reminded along the tour. How often will we need to say it in order to get the full experience. Although the tour guide and her trainee were very nice & social, it is not likely not an experience we'll do again.
