Exiting our timeshare was a true and costly nightmare. This was once a very relaxing place, but it has not been upgraded or maintained at all these past few years. Requested repairs, no responses. Broken refrigerator; food spoiled. No carafe for the coffee maker...no big deal, right? Cold swimming pools. Broken jacuzzi. But so annoying. We paid maintenance fees for a place that will most likely go bankrupt because of neglect and poor service. The simplest amenity--pool towels--were way too much to ask for. 0 If I could give it no stars , I genuinely would . Me and my boyfriend did a little getaway here . We got here Friday July 11th and just checked out today July 13th . Where do I start .... 2 days before our check in date , I was reading the drinking water is contaminated so I call and speak with a gentleman to confirm this information . The worker advised that Willowbrook is okay and water IS NOT CONTAMINATED he seemed annoyed when I had asked him about this . This should've been put on their website so people know before booking . I feel bad for the others who've booked and WERE affected by this . Now we get to the day of check in , check in was smooth , no issues . Provided us a map so we knew where to go . We get into our room (got there around 3:30-4:00pm) and got settled . White sheets on our bed , looked STAINED . Remote for the bedroom TV was missing so we tried to manually connect as we do have a Roku Tv at home and are aware of how to do so . IT DIDN'T WORK . So I call the front desk who advised maintenance would come out and fix that . I told the woman over the phone that we would be leaving to go to dinner and the maintenance person can just go in and fix the issue . We get back from dinner around 9ish and the issue was indeed NOT FIXED . What we did see was the living room TV was on and it appeared they just came in made sure THE WRONG TV was working and left . So I call AGAIN for the second time to let the woman at reception know . I tell her what happened and she says "well does the TV work" ummm if you have read this far , again I advised the woman the tv in the bedroom has NO REMOTE and no way to connect to it , the tv works that's NOT THE ISSUE . Again the woman advised she would have maintenance come out . Maintenance indeed did not come out . Long story short , I ended up calling again in the morning and again told them no one came . I was told they would be coming in a few moments , no one showed up within the hour so me and my boyfriend left for breakfast Came back nobody came . So i call again , express my extreme frustration of paying $700 for 2 nights and 3 days for us to have to continuously call about our amenities. Woman advised she would contact the gentleman specifically to have him come down . I was over it at this point , I walked around the building to find someone to assist with this and on the second floor was the maintenance man (Bryan) with A BOX OF ROKU REMOTES ( very nice guy, very apologetic) So that issue was resolved Then we needed towels . There's a number on the map they provide to call if linens are needed . What's the point of having the number if they don't answer the damn phone . Called 4 times for towels and didn't get any until the last night when we were there and was finally connected with someone in regard to this . Mind you I put the dirty towels in front of the door for them to collect and then replace since they didn't answer until after the 4th time Our bed was not made ONCE were we there . Please do better !!!! This is a wonderful family establishment , beautiful lakes , beautiful views , lake harmony Watersports is absolutely wonderful and prices are great . I waited two months to write this review to give myself emotional and physical distance. I wanted time to think about my experience at Willowbrook at Lake Harmony. I will be using the "I" pronoun throughout this review although my husband didn't enjoy this vacation together, either. I haven't vacationed at a timeshare in years, but my past experiences were always positive. However, Willowbrook at Lake Harmony was so bad I have tell people who may be thinking of vacationing there. Unlike Europeans, Americans don't have 5 or 6 weeks of vacation, so a week wasted is a terrible loss. Below is a list of grievances but is not exhaustive and in no particular order: 1. The facility is very dated. The decor and furnishings are very old, maybe from the 70's and not well maintained. 2. There was a pervasive moldy smell in every building and our room as if the facility had not been used or cleaned for many years. The miasma was so persistent it couldn't be attributed to a temporary closing for Covid. This place has been neglected for years. 3. The ceiling over the pool was pock marked with water damage and missing tiles. 4. When we checked into our room, the sofa bed had been left jammed at an angle, partially open. There were no towels or toilet paper. 5. Calls to the reception ask for assistance required several calls before anyone answered. 6. The televisions were old models with lots of static and limited stations. 7. The door to the connecting room did not have a lock on our side to prevent entry. 8. We could not use the hot tub because it leaked. 9. We ate in Bistro Fusion restaurant twice, a dinner and breakfast. The food was of poor quality and served lukewarm. And none of the servers spoke fluent English. Our servers didn't know what seltzer water was. I don't care about the background of the servers. But I do care that few of the staff, except for the front desk, spoke little to no English. I can't say this strongly enough, I don't care where the staff is from as long as they speak English. We witnessed other guests struggle to communicate with staff as well. 10. In the billiards room there were several pool tables. However, there were only two cues for all the tables. The room was particularly smelly with a large closet door open with all kinds of junks thrown in. I could go on, but I think you get the message. Don't waste your available time going to Willowbrook at Lake Harmony. DON'T GO THERE!! read more

We booked and prepaid a Willowbrook 1-bedroom for one week (Sat 5PM to Sat 10AM). We checked in on Saturday evening and were charged additional resort fees $185.50 for seven days in addition to the prepaid. The actual Williowbrook has six buildings, but their online document splitrockhotel.com/pdfs/Willowbrook.pdf shows only five buildings, which was totally confusing. The elevator in the building #6 was quite scary, because it makes a big cracky noise when it reaches the third floor before doors open. The building and rooms really need to be maintained or renovated. The inside lock on our room door does not align to the hole on the door frame, so that is probably why they put a chain on the top that looks very weak. There was whooping noise coming from the backdoor to the porch. When we began preparing our late dinner, the kitchen only has a long thin bread knife. It was extremely difficult to use it chopping vegetables nor slicing meats! The small lid does not match the small pot. The large lid matches the large pot, but does not match the large pan. The bottom drawer of the oven was not cleaned. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, which was great to get relax after whole days of skiing and exercises. We did have four people on our record to check in, but there was no bedsheets nor blankets for the pullout sofa bed in the living area. We had to call to get them, and someone did deliver them within 20 minutes. Two of us cannot fully close eyelids while sleeping, which are not what we can control. However, there is no curtain of the backdoor to the porch, and the blinds inside that backdoor cannot be turned nor adjusted, so the porch light shines into the living area whole night long. The air conditioner in the bedroom operates loudly and has a broken air opening. In the early morning next day, we also found the blinds of two large windows cannot block the sunrise. There was no cloth curtain to be pulled to block the sunlight. Both nights that we stay in that room were kind of tiring for the two family members slept with eyelids not closed. On Monday, I tried remote working during the day and in the early evening, but the wifi was extreme slow and intermittent. After a quick family meeting, we decided to checkout then and headed for home. When we checked out around 9:40pm, because there was no manager on duty, we were promised to get refunds on the resort fees that we did not use. However, after one week of waiting, the refunds never came into my credit card account. This had been the worse resort experiences that we had for years. read more

To Whom this my concern, I have to say this stay was just HORRIBLE! For being owners for at least 25 years we never expected the lack of service and respect, like we had this year. When we got to our room: 1. The smell in the room was DISGUSTING. We had to go buy a candle and room deodorizer. The rugs were dirty, and the furniture was in bad shape even for a B room. We can't remember any of our vacation's ever being this uncomfortable. We even left early from Willow Brook because of the mess it was in. The back door was never secured and dirty clothing under the bed along with an aerosol can of something. 2. There were not enough supplies in the bathroom or kitchen. We were told if there's anything wrong to notify the lady that gave us her cell number. She repeatedly said if you need anything to call. I made at least 5 maybe 7 calls and texts to rectify the situation and nothing became of our conversations. We were there for a whole week and never received the supplies that we had asked for. The phone number I had texted that day was 570 202 4592. My husband and I had to go buy wash clothes for us to use. We were told, "There were not enough supplies to go around to everyone who wa booked for a stay. And that came directly from the staff. We understand that there are other people or groups booked there when we are, but we do expect the same service as everyone else gets. 3. The refrigerator was not working. We notified them. No one came until 11:15 that night and he looked at it and said " I'll be back with another. refrigerator if I can find one." NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN." My husband checked out the refrigerator for himself then and he got it to work. 4. Went to wash the dishes because they were dirty and there was no supplies for the kitchen. No dish towel or soap etc....Took them over a day to get them to us. But at least. we received them. 5. When we arrived the back door to the yard was unlocked. Which was a little scary. We went around the rest of the rooms to check and there was. a pair of lady's shoes under the bed and an aerosol can of some kind. The bed looked made but with the door unlocked we were hesitant. 6. In the other condos surrounding us there was a large, VERY LARGE group of vacationers, which we understand others should also get the opportunity to stay at Willow brook too. The problem was the management. of Willow Brook blocking off roads that we couldn't even enjoy walks unless we went in one direction. This also happened at the Welcoming center. There were only certain times you could use the water park or the bouncy room etc... We asked and were told that they were reserved at certain times. That is ridiculous for a resort. To cater to one specific entity is unacceptable when it is specified that all amenities are there for all members 7. The garbage dumpsters were so full they were overflowing, and the excess garbage was being piled on the ground around the dumpsters. Anyone who knows that area knows the danger of bears and other wildlife coming looking for food any time of day and night. This neglect of the garbage wasn't for just 1 or 2 days it was our whole stay (1 week). Disgusting and smelled bad. For the resort to let one group do this and make it dangerous for all guests is poor VERY POOR, management to say the very least. 8. We pay our maintenance fee on time and whenever it is due. We paid a whole mortgage for these vacations. We understand things change, but this is a bit too much to swallow. At this point we are actually considering getting rid of our Time. This was such a disappointment! I'd give them 1.5 stars. The place is dirty. The renovations supposedly recent has already been trashed by a group that had lots of children (that's what I was told). The carpets are scarred from spilled food and drinks through the halls and room. Black marks on the carpet and running through halls. There was mold on the walls in the shower. The oven was disgusting - not safe to use. Oven cleaning spray was baked in and the heat ring around the glass window barely existed. Racks were sticky. And it smelled. And a different color lightbulbs in the overheads. They changed our room which was an attempt and although cleaner, candy and junk was under the oven from previous guest. Broken knife in drawer. Second unit had a dust pan (no broom). Which was more than the first unit. No kitchen kit. No pot holders. Final straw was my son getting cut on the bed-frame because the portion of the frame designed to bolt into a headboard was sticking out on the side of the bed. They offered medical care multiple times and took a report. Responsive and genuine. Very apologetic and an explanation for everything. I will say this. Clean linens - I guess kids and parents did not ruin everything! Pillows were clean. TVs were flatscreen and large. Wifi did work. Staff very polite and definitely tried to supply what was missing. Nature was beautiful. Kind of seems like the type of place all the kids would go on prom night to trash and leave. It a shame because the grounds are beautiful. They refunded my unused resort fee which was a kind gesture but not enough for me leave a different review. Place has potential, however I recommend you look elsewhere or set the bar at zero and you'll be impressed. read more

Willowbrook is a great lodge to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city lifestyle. There is an indoor, year round water slide, a bowling alley, a theater, a game center for kids, a huge empty rental Pavillion space for private parties like wedding, event venues, and an in-house restaurant. There is a coffee shop open late every night, and suite rooms with lakeviews. I was told their restaurant is famous for their homemade meatloaf which I tried. The salmon though was delicious. If you're looking for outdoor recreation with plenty to do indoors too, checkout Willowbrook. It's only about a 45 minute drive from Wilkes-Barre airport, and about 1.5 hours drive from New York City!! Cheers! read more

Check-in took 2 and 3/4 hours. Called the front desk 5x no answer. No carts and when I went back to the check-in building, they were to send security to help. by 11p they never showed so I had to carry up the suitcases for 3 of us (2 are handicapped) Plus more I can't mention Day 2. Toilet overflowed in the morning, *X no answer at the front desk had to go to the other building again to report toilet issues. it is now 8pm no answer to multiple call and the toilet problem not addressed. and the day is not over. If anyone else owns at Willowbrook/owned by Bel Air now, and isn't allowed to reserve the units they own at this ran down Time Share without now being extorted of additional "amenity" fees, contact the FTC, BBB, and the PA attorney general's office and report this Fraud! This place is horrible. I checked into this place today for a week but we will be leaving tomorrow They didn't have cable tv or the phones didn't work, which they didn't even tell me when we checked in at the front desk. I was suppose to get a 2 bedroom suite but they gave me connecting 1 bed suite and charged me 185.00 for each room, what a scam. I had to kill over 30 ladybugs on the ceilings and laps. The toilet was broken in one of the rooms and both places were dirty. I will never come back here again. This has to be the worst trip ever and I travel all over the world. If i could I would give no stars. I had to use my own cell phone to call the front desk but they didn't really give a damn. read more

We live in Philadelphia, and last year my husband suffered a massive stroke and pulmonary embolism. After all that trauma, we decided that for our daughter's birthday, we would pack up and go to the mountains for 3 days. We brought a couple of her friends with us. We stayed in Willowbrook's building, which we've stayed in before. It's the timeshare owners building. Fireplace, jacuzzi, kitchen...all in the room. Access to the pool, bowling, movie theater. Honestly it's such a relaxing place. The type of place where you can stand on the balcony and see deer out back while you drink your morning cup of coffee. It makes life feel much more free and comforting. When you stay at Willowbrook, it's not like atying at a typical hotel. You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself, taking trash out, etc. You can request clean towels and linens once during your stay, but you'll be the one packing the old ones up and putting them outside the room and putting the new ones on. That's because you're in your room for at least a week. So you need to treat it like it's your own house. Obviously you can call housekeeping when you need things like toilet paper. I personally like the home in the mountains feel it has. read more

First and most importantly...the check in process at this resort is complete garbage. Clearly the cleaning service is understaffed. They say 4pm on their website but in person they say "that is a starting point". We did not get our rooms until after 6:15pm AND that was only because we returned at that point and flatly refused to leave until they handed us room keys. This part of our stay was a complete disgrace and enough to prevent us from ever returning. But to review the actual units... These Willowbrook units are clean, updated and have basic amenities. Daily cleaning does not really happen like it would at a hotel. They replace the towels and that's it. Beds aren't made, actual cleaning doesn't happen. I can safely state this since we were traveling as 3 families and this was true for all of us. You have to drive to all the actives from here, so don't think you'll be slipping on a bathing suit and walking down to the lake, or to any of the amenities. At a minimum you are 2 mins in a car. read more

We are owners at willow brook. Before Belair took over it was well organized and clean . We were there in July and it was terrible. We were supposed to have 2 lockout units and it took us 1 1/2 hrs to get two but across hall from each other. This was not acceptable. Building 2 smelled like mildew and my daughter in- law got bed bug bites . Demanded other rooms so next day we got a lockout in building 1. Much better but cleaning wasn't very good. Everything was very dusty !! Will not go back again !!! Very high maintenance fee plus then had to pay resort fee and we didn't even use any amenities Will be terminating our timeshare. We are staying here because we deposited our week and received a bonus week. The facility is very clean and the units are well kept. My issue is some of the out dated items in the unit as I am sure the maintenance fees are not cheap. The kitchen is Formica and small. The kitchen table is tiny and has metal frame chairs. The TV's are of the early 90's vintage. They are also only 19 inch. The heating and ac units don't have a standard thermostats which makes adjusting the temperature difficult. There are many activities to do on site, but they charge for everything. Even if you are staying on the grounds , you still have to pay $1 to go through the main entrance. I rated it 2 stars because as a timeshare owner , we should not be nickel and domed for everything. What do the maintenance fees cover. read more

I had a good time staying here over the summer. I have to agree the DVD player and TV did looks really ancient but there were plenty of activities on the property to keep you busy. There were games of Bingo, Horseracing, Arts and Crafts for the kids and a really great indoor basketball court in the main complex. I had not been to this area with my family since 1994 or so. It was a welcome sight to be back on three grounds. It is a unique four season resort that is in three Pocono Mountains. There is even a movie theater, ice cream shop and water park on the grounds for your entertainment. Waterpark prices were not that bad. I actually did not have swimtrunks but would have checked it out. The beds were Nice to me as well. All and all, it was a relaxing vacation getaway. The video game center was decent as well. Nice to step back to the country side. 18 hole mini golf course is something to check out next time. Hopefully not another 20 years from now. read more

I have to separate my review into Willowbrook and Split Rock. The Willowbrook condo we stayed in through a groupon was large, clean, and mostly quiet. The housekeeping staff was friendly and thorough, doing our dishes for us while we were out. The amenities were lacking somewhat - I would have expected a roll of paper towels and some dish soap in a condo with a full kitchen. The waterfall jetted bathtub was our kids' favorite feature by far! Willowbrook itself would get 4 stars. But Split Rock Resort? I'd be hard-pressed to give them one star. Having to drive to the hotel to check into and out of the condos is incredibly inconvenient, especially when their front desk staff seems incredibly put out by their guests' presence. I've never seen lazier, ruder "customer" service. We checked in before their 4 p.m. checkin time and were told we'd get a call when our room was available. As I stood back in line at 3:54 p.m. to ask if our room was ready yet, one of the four women scowling behind the desk announced loudly, "I don't know why these people are here. It's. It 4 o'clock yet. I don't care if rooms are ready or not, I'm not calling anyone yet." Lovely. Trying to keep ourselves entertained in the "resort" while waiting for our room, we had planned to visit the water park. Although the posted opening time was 12 p.m., they didn't open their doors until noon. The line took an hour to get through, and the park closed at 4 that day. $162 for our family of 5 to spend 3 hours in the water park? We passed. We attempted to use the pool instead, but our children were disgusted by the grit all over the bottom of the pool, the wet towels dumped all around the pool area, and the freezing cold water temperatures. They were also scared by the water park employee who stomped over to the hot tub in her high heels and screamed, "Everyone under 18, get out of here. Now!!" We lasted about 20 minutes before changing back into our street clothes and heading out for an early dinner. The resort is under renovation, which is much needed, but wasn't noted on the Groupon we purchased. Having to park on the far side of the hotel and tromp through dark, dirty hallways to find the front desk certainly wasn't a great way to introduce the resort - especially when finding parking at all in the slushy parking lot was so challenging. But even with a fancy new facade, it's going to take much more than a fresh coat of paint to make this place worth visiting, though. Hiring friendly, helpful people who are interested in making guests' experiences positive is the first step I'd suggest. read more

We spent a weekend up here recently. Here's my breakdown- ROADS: Slushy, not plowed, and not well taken care of, considering the recent winter precipitation. Also, you have to pay $1/car to enter the area (which is residental until you drive all the way to the back where the resort is). There is a discount card of sorts for the entry fee, but it wasn't worth it for us and our short stay. ROOMS: We had a total of three rooms - two connected and one next door, without a connecting door between. Hubby and I were in the solo room, which reeked of Indian food every time we walked in for the three days we were there. Not sure if our connecting room was occupied by someone who kept making that food, or if the room itself just smelled. The other two rooms didn't smell good either, but I my in-laws made shrimp the first night, so that might have been why. The rooms were nice and each had a private room, a bathroom with doors to the room and to the main area, a small kitchen, a nice-sized living area, and a door to the outside. The bathroom had a shower and a really nice, deep bathtub with a fun waterfall feature. If I hadn't spent my nights in the hotel hot tub, I would have been soaking in that every night. WATERPARK: It's pretty pricey for the size ($36/pp), but we were given a discount of $79 for 4 people ($20/pp). But that only works if you have four people going with you. Also, they have to physically put your wristband on you (maybe so you don't make it too loose and then share?). As far as I could tell, nobody was checking for wristbands anyways - my MIL came in with us without paying (and without swimming), and she was able to walk around with us and take pictures. The coolest thing in here is the surfing/boogie boarding. It's free and you get two tries per turn. The line can get pretty long, but the longest we waited was about 15-20 minutes. Absolutely give it a try - it was SO fun! They also have a toddler area, kids area, wave pool, basketball area, and three decent-sized slides - two single/double tube slides and a family-sized tube slide. The food here is good, and it's not expensive like I was expecting. POOL: The hotel pool at the Galleria is HUGE. Like two pools almost. But it is pretty chilly. There is also a small kiddie pool (about a foot deep) and an amazing hot tub. The hot tub was warmer than most, which I loved! The bubbles are constant, so nobody has to get out to turn them back on every 10 minutes. It was so relaxing. read more

For a gold rated resort on Interval (timeshare company), this place was a huge disappointment. The rooms are spacious but dated. The carpet was musty smelling and when we checked in, all the cushions on the couches and chairs were pulled up as if housekeeping never finished their job. A call to maintenance confirmed they didn't do their job. The DVD player (vintage 1989... you have to put TV on channel 3 to use it) was broken with the tray out. A second call to maintenance resulted in a guy coming down to just rip the tray off. No replacement player even after 5 days. (Update, they brought a new one the night before we checked out). Service at the Galleria Restaurant was horrible. It took 15 minutes of standing at the register, and finally just asking the lady if I could pay, to get out. There is a thing called Kids Kamp where, for $15, you can leave your child for 4 hours and they play games, do crafts, get a lunch. Sounds like a great deal. When we go to sign them up, staff hardly knows what's going on. She tells me different hours than I was told the first day, and she seems completely disinterested in interacting with my kids. I sign them up anyways but at drop off time decide against it because I just don't feel comfortable leaving my kids with her. She appeared to be a high school kid more interested in her iPhone. Stopping at the front desk to cancel, they give us yet another version of how Kids Kamp works. Get your stuff together, people. The waterpark is small with very few rides. The kids are young enough (7 and 9) that it was cool for them, but for me it was kinda lame. Apparently the Great Wolf isn't too far from here and about the same price. Go there instead. About the only good thing I can say is that they have a nice fitness center and they're convenient to places like Jim Thorpe and some state parks. read more

Things are falling apart as it appears that they do not fix things broken by previous owners/renters. Burned carpet, broken refrigerator door and lights. I guess things are going bad as they are not checking or fixing damages. No more tolls to enter which is nice unlike previous years. They have upgraded TV's from traditional picture tubes to flat screens though Insignia brand (Best Buy). Has free wifi which seems to opertor pretty well throughout units. Decor is still a little dated and dark still new-ish. I would be concerned if they were attempting to sell me a timeshare but luckily for us, our friend owns several units. read more

We just finished a long weekend at Willowbrook and Split Top resort. The facilities were clean and everything in good working order. The staff was attentive and friendly. They went out of their way to insure they were available and responsive. We especially liked the tall young man serving ice cream. He was quite respectful, even with some of the customers attitudes. Great job. There are many activities for children and adults. We were apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. But we did not experience any of the shortcomings others had noted. Great place!! We stayed in the hotel on the 6th floor which might as well been in another county. The closest elevator doesn't even take you to the lobby, you have to get off walk to down a hallway and get on another. From there you go through a maze of hallways to get back to the lobby or to find a working ice machine. As for the rooms themselves if pink/purple is your thing then the colors won't bother you. Most everything feels really dated and like it is breaking down. The worst issue though is the water pressure! We wondered if the water park stole all the pressure but the showers still trickled even after the park closed. The water park is small but decent for young kids. I found the water to be surprisingly cold and could only take it in small doses. It costs $36 to get in but even if you don't plan on swimming and have a child you have to pay $16 for an "observer" pass! There did not appear to be anybody checking bands though. We have stayed in the condos before which were decent but as for the hotel and water park I would not recommend. read more

Stay away! Room bathrooms had black mold and leaks. The musty and damp odor made the units uninhabitable. Hotel staff was no help. Checked out 2 hours after checking in. I've stayed at Split Rock several times now. I've read reviews that have said the staff is rude and uncooperative - I have found the opposite. They have been extremely warm and accommodating, whether it's when I call or when I check in or check out. Willowbrook is my favorite place to stay when I'm there. I love the full kitchen, the gas fireplace, and especially the tub! Plus it's away from the main building which can get overpopulated and a little overwheming. It's not a fancy place and it's far from perfect but if you know how to navigate it, like going to the pool in the Lodge rather than at the main building, you can have a really enjoyable time. read more

In May 2016 I went for a timeshare presentation/ tour. I was first told a ridiculous price and of course turned down the offer. Later, my husband and I went into an office where a worker, who told us, and later it was confirmed by another employee, that she was working with Split Rock for about 12 years, so this is not an outside company. I felt more comfortable but I should have known there was a scam involved when the price lowered twice before I accepted an offer of total sale price $7,246.32, plus an Assessment fee of $377 every other year. The sales lady, crossed out a piece of the contract, informed us that we would be paying $80 every other month and an assessment fee every other year. I was told that I can come up whenever I wanted, to refer and would get a room for the weekend, that she could get discount plane tickets, that I would have a room and get points every year and she gave her contact information and said that she would be available anytime to help. I was also told that only members could use the facilities and given a card to come up and told I would need to use that in order to be on the property. A few weeks later when I went up with my family for the day (without a room), we were not even asked for the membership card, the pool was very crowded with people just walking in also not asked for membership cards, as a matter of fact a fight nearly broke out because two girls were yelling from opposite ends and someone asked them to quiet down prompting the girls to curse at the other customer in front of my child amongst other children, the staff hardly looked over at them. The hot tub/whirlpool was filthy with brown scum on top of the bubbles. When I tried to call the "nice sales lady" she did not return my calls. As a matter of fact I have 3 months of phone records of 1minute calls each as I received her voicemail and left several messages. Finally, after much calling and speaking with multiple people she had her assistant call me back who informed me that he would set me up there for the weekend with a room for myself and a guest, plus give me points and $100 certificate. The next day, he was nowhere to be found and I once again got the run around. Finally, after speaking to several other staff, the "nice sales lady" called me back and accused me of being unreasonable and informed me that she was in the room when the assistant called me, which I found rather offensive but did not say anything, and he NEVER said he would set that up for me. I had to do that myself and wait for an open weekend. Any time I tried to express my complaints and why I felt ripped off she kept accusing me of not understanding and then hung up the phone, later texting and saying that we were cut off and she was busy but would call me after 4, which never happened, even though I called her several times since. Without even realizing, due to an app I downloaded the week before, all conversations were recorded. I asked why I was promised a vacation whenever I wanted to go, why I was not told that vacation points were only every other year, why it took 3 months and much complaining on my part to even hear from her and none of this was answered. Furthermore, I was told, by her assistant, that there was an $174.00 exchange fee to take a vacation through Interval, which I was not originally told about through the "nice sales lady" who sold me everything and discounts are extremely minimum. As a matter of fact I found a Disney Cruise for the exact same price as it was advertised online for. I have been repeatedly lied to and scammed, as promises have not been delivered. Furthermore, I was made a fool out of when I was promised a weekend, explicitly stated that they would take care of, on an unintentional recorded call, only to be told that I had to set that up on my own and that was never told to me. Overall, I can say we had a fun week. I think people focus more on what they didn't like then realizing all the great things so they tend to not write about the good things. Check in wasn't bad. only a few people in line in front of me. a lot behind me and they only have two people at the desk. I feel they need to add a third person when busy but every time I walked by, there were only two people. They were supposed to leave a linen exchange form either in my check in packet or on the kitchen counter (we are timeshare). did not do either so I called housekeeping. left message. no one called me back. the next day I called for over an hour before someone would answer the phone and they said "I'll see what I can do". um ok. well they must not have been able to handle that because I had to go to check in to get it later that night when they still did not give it to me. luckily no one was in line at check-in. would not be happy to waste my time in line for something they should have already provided called the next morning for the linen exchange and they did it within the hour. so that was great. The room was great. very homey and spacious. don't understand why, if you offer a full kitchen with amenities, you would give me a 2qt, a 3qt and a spaghetti pot, but no frying pan??? doesn't make sense, had plenty of dishes and silverware. no other issues with kitchen. everything was great. but had to cook my kids pancakes and eggs in the spaghetti pot. not ideal, but made it work. also, why would you have a kitchen table with four chairs but only two placemats. there were four of us staying and only two of us had placemats. weird. pull out couch wasn't the worse one I ever slept on. bed was somewhat comfortable. but I have never slept anywhere that was as good as my own bed at home. so I get it. fireplace does not work. but since it was summer and I was staying here with my kids, not on a romantic holiday, I did not care. I did let them know when I checked out so the next person doesn't have an issue several outside lights on balcony for many of the rooms did not work. do they ever walk behind the buildings at night to check any of that? guess now. plus several rooms were missing screens off the windows. we had four windows and could only open 2 of them (did not want bugs in so did not open the ones without screens). found several screens near the vending machine just sitting in a row. hmmm, when did they plan to put them back up? maintenance like this I think could have been better. they sat there all week. bedroom was good size. so was bathroom. shower was small and no water pressure. plus it looked a little nasty like it needs a really good cleaning. the bathtub was in great shape. overall, we did like the room when I called to confirm a week before our stay, I thought I had an upgrade. they confirmed a two bedroom, even though I booked a one bedroom. I was excited, but disappointed to find out it still turned out to be a one bedroom when I checked in. why did they tell me that then??? we had fun playing miniature golf twice (course is a little run down and needs some TLC). playground was ok. wish it was bigger. beach was awesome. very nice. the indoor pool at the lodge was quieter when we went, but my son pulled out a big nasty hairball. gross. the area around the pool is cement and falling apart. could they epoxy seal it to make it look better? the pool was fine other than that the indoor pool at the towne center was big. always busy when we went. no one is ever "on duty" there. Kids ignore the "no one under 18 in the hot tub" sign. where were the parents? kids were standing on the top ledge of hot tub and jumping into the 3 foot part of indoor pool. omg, someone could get hurt! no parents, no staff to intervene. a little gross around the pool. might be nice if they run a mop throughout the day. I mean, this is a resort and people want to be happy and enjoy themselves, and not be grossed out. they have an indoor waterpark here, but we did not go since it was just me and my two special needs kids. I needed another adult. that's ok though we did not eat out here so I cannot comment on dining and food. we bought food at grocery store and ate in our room. mostly due to having two kids with a disability. just easier for me. did get takeout one time. off site. went to woody's country restaurant. I did notice that in the split rock binder in the room, there was false advertising for woody's country restaurant. see my yelp review for them. manager at restaurant was argumentative and would not honor the 20% off that the ad in the binder says I can get as a guest at split rock. not going into it all here, just see that review if you are interested. the activities were great. lots to do. definitely a family place. don't really consider this for a romantic getaway. too many kids and families. try another resort for this. all in all, for a family week away, we had a good time read more

I'm not quite sure why there are so many negetive comments about split rock. I was actually really freaked out going to our planned vacation after reading these comments all over the web. Our vacation was excellant staying here all the way around...Here is my review. Well we did stay at Willowbrook which is the newest timeshare in the complex. This place is beautiful. The view in the back on the balcony is all wooded and the deer are always walking around. The rooms are huge and clean and flat screen new tv's, (2). Even the foyers are clean and have outdoor and indoor sitting areas. The rooms also have huge jacuzzi tubs. Only downside is the bed and pull out sofa bed are very uncomfortable. That dollar toll everyone is freaking out about? Well if you are staying for the week get the gate access card for $10. That way you dont have to worry about the reciepts and getting reimbursed. There are signs up everywhere that they do not accept the toll reciepts, so it would be a challange trying to deal with that. But a huge secret? If you re-enter the complex after 11 (sometimes 10) the gates are wide open... Now I have to say the other timeshares we entered, galleria, lodge, are really old. They seems to just be moldy all over and run down. So no, I would not want to be staying in these places. The pools are fine to utilize, but it was always nice driving 2 minutes back to the willowbrook, like night and day with the other units. The activities, too many to mention. very expensive, but fun and conveniant. the kids love the arcade, mini golf and bowling. The waterpark was not cheap, but totally worth it and a lot to do.. The only place we ate on property was the galleria, but for takeout only and it was not bad at all. The workers were all very nice at all times. Overall I would return to the willowbrook anytime. This type of vacation complex is all about the kids anyways and they loved it! read more

We have stayed at several International resorts and this by far, is the worst. There were towels left in the bathroom from the previous guest and onion skin pressed into the kitchen floor. Does no one clean it? The pullout couch was broken and the hallways were hot and humid. I am not sure why they were not air conditioned. It costs extra to do any activities, we have never paid extra for a movie night, craft, tennis or smores. Finally, we checked in on Saturday and they still have not serviced our room with fresh sheets and towels here on a Wednesday evening. Oh, and the water park is small and crowded....not worth the money. So many better places to go. We ate off site every day - we just started conversations with local shop owners who were more than happy to help us get off site and find great places and activities in the Poconos. read more

My wife and I stayed in Willowbrook Bldg 4 at Lake Harmony in the first week of October hoping to catch the leaves changing. It was beautiful. We were in unit 4118D on the third floor, on the side away from the parking lot. Our windows and balcony faced directly into the treetops. The view alone was worth the trip from California. The accommodations fit our needs perfectly, spacious and well appointed. We found the over-sized whirlpool bathtub and fireplace relaxing after a day of outdoor activities. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The supermarket is only five miles away - important to budget travelers such as ourselves. We are avid hikers and we hiked a different trip nearly every day: Hickory Run, the Appalachian Trail at the Delaware Water Gap, Promised Land State Park, and Bushkill Falls. On day we went to Pocono Biking in Jim Thorpe and rented bikes. They took us to a spot on the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail for a 25 mile ride (all downhill) back to the bike shop - travel brochure scenery . I can't recommend this excursion highly enough. Bring a picnic lunch. Hiking around the resort property in the mornings was also rewarding with wildlife sightings of wild turkeys, deer, and raccoons. Don't miss eating at Woody's Country House Restaurant in nearby Blakeslee. I own timeshare at this resort. I only stayed here twice over the past few years and I actually paid to stay instead of using my timeshare week. I don't think the resort is worth your timeshare week to stay here when you can trade with Interval and go to better places. My only complaint is that the furniture and decor could be better. Nice lodge to relax, very quiet..... Bath tub has a jacuzzi, very relaxing. I booked through expedia not knowing when I booked online. We were told water park tickets were included with the package for 2 nights 3 days. Well we were unable to check in until past 4 pm, we weren't staying at the hotel that has a pool, actually had to drive a mile for the pool & waterpark. We didn't know this until after. Spend more money booking through expedia then with the actual hotel. The room is pretty big & spacious, just no one at the lodge to ask questions. The building numbers are very small to see. Make sure you book with the hotel & ask all the questions befire making a reservation. read more

We were very disappointed in this resort. They appeared to try to keep you in their resort so you could spend all your money within its confines. To ensure you stayed, they charged a dollar every time you reentered the facility (I'm surprised they didn't charge to leave as well.) Of course, everything on-site was expensive (and not very good). We didn't purchase very much there. Our 2 bedroom unit consisted of two separate 1 bedroom units side-by-side. We had to prop the connecting doors so we could move from one room to the next. To think, we traded a nice Marriott Timeshare for this dump. The furniture was old, outdated and dirty. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Shit customer service. Probably was a nice place at one time. Wife checked in and was given no information about anything. We called and called trying to find out just basic information about our stay. At first check in we got a room but no key, someone at sometime would bring it to us. The room was not cleaned from previous customer. So we had to get in contact with someone and No one would answer the phone. Sfter being on hold they move us to another building. We have 4 kids under 6! Stay at a motel 8 or cheaper and you'll get better service. At least you'll have furniture that's older younger than 1980. You could probably have a easier time calling "and" talking with the pope or president. read more

Loved it. Very clean and spacious. No issues and great service when over at the main hub (Split Rock Galleria)-where the restaurants are, pool, movie theater, bowling, and indoor water park. I found all the staff to be exceptionally polite and helpful. I could tell they were hired with care. I would definitely return. I have no complaints whatsoever. read more

We had such a great stay at the Willowbrook at Split Rock this past Columbus Day weekend. These are timeshare units that overlook the golf course in Split Rock, and they can be rented directly through the resort. There are one and two bedroom spacious units all with full kitchens, fireplace, balcony or patio, and well appointed bathrooms. We stayed on the 2nd floor in 4112D which faced the golf course and the beautiful grounds that overlooked the serene landscaping and gave an expansive view of the colorful fall foliage. My only complaint is that the beds were not as comfortable as I would have expected, but I'm used to sleeping on a Tempurpedic mattress so my opinion may be partial. With that being and this as my only minor complaint, it still earns a 4 star nod from me. We have stayed in rooms at the Lodge and the Galleria in the past, and they did not impress. These Willowbrook units are practically brand new in comparison, and I can't even begin to compare the difference and how much better these units are. Staying in one of these rooms is comparable to staying at a nicer hotel, such as a Hilton. I have posted many photos which will help give you a better idea of what the units are like. If you have the opportunity to rent a Willowbrook unit, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed. read more

My overall experience at Willowbrook was good. I wasn't impressed with the kitchen but the bathroom was wonderful. The distance from the resort to split rock is walkable is decent weather. The galleria has a pit and bar area which doubles as an activity center. The theater offered new movies but smelled like dirty carpet. The dollar toll fee is returned with a purchase at the bar or galleria. The best eating option here was the weekend buffet at the galleria which cost a family of four about $40 otherwise please travel off site. The water park was closed most of my trip but the pool was a great spot for the kids. The activities and food cost alot here but they tried to compensate for this with daily free activities read more
