This cute place has candies, sandwiches, baked goods and freshly made beverages. We were told that most of the food is prepared right inside of the business. The chocolates and gummy bears were delicious and fresh. The beverages were refreshing. I'm not sure what happened with the cookies but they were dry and tasted old and stale. They were thrown away. Several reviewers have said that the workers were rude to them but the two older ladies that served us were pleasant and attentive. This was our first visit. I thought this place was going to be good. I ordered and ice tea and a pastrami sandwich and boy I was surprised by the total. Cost me $20. But the kicker is that they weren't busy, had 3 people working, and it took literally 30 minutes to make a sandwich. I mean, did you have to bake the bread and kill the cow? And when I finally got sandwich, it was not even the way I had specified on their order sheet. Why would you ask people to fill the paper when you're not even going to follow it and just throw meat in between two soggy pieces of bread. Oh and you left the cheese out to! Very disappointed in recent, large purchase of a wide selection of cookies and brownies. The cookies were all stale, and mostly inedible-very sad as we paid a lot of money for them. Both of my young children refused to eat them-not a good sign! The 3 large hazelnut brownies we bought were not fully cooked in the middle yet dry on the edges. I don't think they rotate their cookies daily, hench the "stale" factor. Tried the chocolates once before here as they looked yummy, but they were just ok. I doubt we'll ever be back for more. Every time I come to this area I always stop by here for a cider float. I recommend getting the salted caramel ice cream or the chocolate chip vanilla ice cream with your cider. They top it off with whipped cream and cinnamon powder. It's just so good. Went there today. It's a nice place. It looks clean, although the person who found moths in her popcorn may differ (I don't blame her). Considering that they have so much inventory, I wondered how long it takes for them to move all of it. In other words, was some of the candy stale? The person who helped me was friendly, although, when I inquired about how old the candy is, she was a bit vague. They should put dates on the packaged candy; because, if they sell good fresh candy, they will increase their business. Well, I purchased two chunks of rocky road, and a third of a pound of the pecan roll. They both tasted stale (I did not finish either of them). We recently visited this candy shop and were excited to try some fresh handmade chocolates... bought three chocolates everyone was enjoying them to I took two bites of the chocolate truffle and it split in half what was inside was absolutely disgusting. The inside had MOLD ! Yes MOLD and I instantly felt sick to my stomach and almost vomited, went back to the candy kitchen and all they said was sorry and well refund you for just your moldy chocolate and they excuse was oh the summer heat sometimes changes temperature of the chocolates . Since summer they've had these chocolates!!! SUMMER!! It's almost November and they still have chocolates from summer that's disgusting ! They didn't even remove the rest of the coffee chocolates from the display refrigerator! Avoid this place at all cost they obviously don't care about customers health if they're still selling old chocolates that they clearly know they've been melting from the heat I wish I had taken pictures of the piece I've bitten into but was absolutely disgusted to my stomach. read more

Wow, amazing smell when you walk in, and tons of free samples!! The samples are just out, you don't even have to ask for them. They are very generous. Fudge was pretty good, and they let you sample that as well. We enjoyed a few chocolates (coconut haystack, peanut butter cup, and salted caramel). Super disappointing. We drove 40 mins out of our way to check out this spot. Looking forward to taffy and barrels of unique cheeses, neither of which they still carry. We did get a caramel apple but they can't cut it for you?? They have tables for you to sit at and eat, but can't cut the apple for you.... Ridiculous. Was a great little place with many items to choose from. The chocolate looked incredible as I got the pecan turtes the size poker chip or a little larger. I went in for some carmel apples as they are hard to find anywhere. They had many different types to choose from. If carmel isn't what you like they also have candied in a few varieties. The coffee smelled delicious. I was surprised to see so many goodies for all sort of baskets. crackers ,spreads ,jams all sort of goodies. It's almost an overload of things that you want to try. The thing that really got my attention is their customer service. They were nice ,attentive and very patient to answer all my questions. After being yelled and screamed at by the owner's son at Los Rios Ranch (see my review) we found our way to a more enjoyable experience. This is a cute, country candy store amongst a larger complex. The candy covered apples caught our eye and we knew we had to have some. I went with a green apple covered with dark chocolate, Carmel and chocolate chips. Having just eaten lunch at Annie's I was stuffed, but forged ahead. I devoured that delicious apple treat in under 5 minutes. A truly enjoyable, blissful few minutes. The candy is good, the complete lack of interest in serving customers isn't. Went in on a Friday afternoon. We were literally the only customers. None of the five employees acknowledged our existence. They were too deep in personal conversations. We browsed a bit and then went to the candy counter. We waited, and waited. As I said, there were no other customers. There were three girls at the far end of the store who saw us and just went back to gossiping. There was a young man and an older woman by the ice cream. Same thing. No one cared. Finally went and asked the guy for help. He got the items we wanted from the case without ever making eye contact and still taking to the older woman the whole time. Just terrible service. It felt like everyone was bothered a customer came in. Definitely won't buy here again and don't recommend making it part of your Oak Glen experience. read more

My family stopped here at this farm to do some activities for my daughter. Everything was closed so we ended up taking her in to pick out some candy. The candy store was cute and filled with homemade candies, pickled items, icecream and so much more. My daughter ended up picking 3 candies (pop rocks, wax sodas, sucker) the total came out to $6 and some change. So each item was over $2. I wouldn't mind spending that on the homemade candy but not on the store bought manufactured candy. Was a little disappointed with that, but cute store and nice friendly staff.
