Cindy's the best! She helped me find new styles of glasses/sunglasses that complement my look. Davis Vision insurance covers the eye exam cost but not the lenses/frames here. Glasses are pricy nowadays but to me it's worth it to try them on in person and know they'll look good and fit well. The staff are all really friendly and it was super easy to make an appointment through their website. The optometrist was professional and the space was clean. They have modern technology to take a scan of the back of your eye at an added cost (OCT scan). They produce lenses in house so depending on the frame/lens you choose, you might even be able to pick up new glasses same day! They also have a 1 year warranty on their glasses which is great. If you have old glasses/contacts you can donate them here! I ordered blue-reflecting glasses but then changed my mind about it. Since it took 2-3 days to make those lenses I was able to call them and they adjusted the order to make the lenses anti-reflective instead! I appreciate the responsive customer service. No more blue reflections coming from my eyes! Side note: I only recently learned the marketing around blue reflectors as "healthy for your eyes" when looking at screens was not really supported by research, and I don't like the reflection in the lenses. I'm not a researcher though so take that as you will. I definitely recommend Village Eyecare if you want nice designer frames or need your annual eye exam! read more

I have a pretty high prescription, so when I need new glasses I need them quickly. This office was able to get me my glasses so much faster than I'm used to. We have bought several pairs of glasses at village Eyecare and each time they have done an amazing job of taking care of my family. My husband needed a pair of glasses for everyday as his eyes are his job and he was struggling with 3 different readers every where we went. They built him the perfect pair of glasses to wear and recommend a clip on sunglasses option for the car so now he has one pair of glasses for everything. I had my first visit with Village EyeCare today and not to be dramatic, but it was the BEST EYE EXAM OF MY LIFE! Dr. Clermont is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I learned more today than I have at my past 20 eye exams combined. The five star review all make sense once you go to this place. Super modern an efficient but also friendly and very helpful. Dr Josh took a lot of time to review some things he saw on my scans and was very friendly and thorough. What a nice guy, I don't want anybody else examining my eyes any more. If you are looking for care and competence, you've come to the wrong place. The staff here is too lazy to look at your history for returning patients, and instead of recommending tests based on history, they just decide to add tests and upcharge you. The place is also a revolving door of doctors, so when you go back for an exam, you will probably get someone else. I'm sure this is a good revenue generating machine, but if you actually care about your eyes and want competent people, I would look elsewhere. read more

The client service here is nonexistent. I came in looking for some new glasses and I also needed my nose pad replaced on the glasses I had. She tells me that is $35 to replace a standard nose pad and that she was concerned about working on my glasses because "they were brittle." LOL! My glasses are a thicker metal and it's an $800 frame. Old PLASTIC frames get brittle. Ma'am! Mine were fine, LOL! I've been an optician. The deal is, she didn't want to do it, and tried to overcharge and gaslight me. I left and went down the street to another optical store and they took care of it for FREE. Found my cool new glasses there too. Client service matters. read more

First time visiting this place and it was pleasant. Michel is so great at assisting clients with the perfect frames. Yes, everything is top notch and so is the pricing. I believe you always should splurge when it comes to what you put on your face. Met Lynn, Janice, and Dr. Claremont who were all just as friendly and kind as Michel. Years ago, I bought 2 pair of the most wonderful glasses at Village and finally had to have them tightened and fixed. The people at the store on Division (especially five-star Phylicia), like those at the other two stores I've used over the years, were wonderful and considerate -- and, this time, so careful and thorough -- with my precious old glasses! The folks here were very helpful in providing me with an adjustment so my glasses now stay on my face! I love Village of Eyecare! The place is so clean and very nice place. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Clermont is amazing! He's vert personable, knowledgable and patient. I was diagnosed with an eye condition and wanted a second opinion, he did the exam and thoroughly walked me through with the images what was happening with my eyes and what are my options. (He should be a teacher.) I felt heard and appreciate him taking his time to explain to me what's happening to my vision. I also feel great about next steps on what to do next. I literally have been to over 3 different vision centers and no one gave any clear insights on what was happening until I got here. I highly recommend this place. Also, they have beautiful and trendy eye glasses! I have to wait to get some since I have to get an eye procedure done, but am happy with my visit. I'll be back. read more

I was going here for a few years and recently had an eye exam at a different eye doctor due to moving. The Village Eyecare team helped me get in quickly to see their team and with ordering contacts right after I realized the new doctor wasn't able to place an order for medically necessary contact lens (covered mostly by insurance = huge money saver for me!). The Village Eyecare team also found a rebate I could use towards the portion I had to pay out of pocket! I really needed distance glasses for driving and decided to go here since the location closer to me didn't have any appointments. The doctor was great; however, I was told I'd be able to exchange my progressive lenses for a distance lens if I didn't like them within 30 days. After exchanging the progressive lenses within 2 weeks, I was given non-prescription anti-glare glasses with no refund. The office manager (Michelle) was condescending and not helpful. I do not recommend going to this office. Try a different office in Chicago. read more
