Both the kind that lead to an outside door and the difference in the color of the plank into the bathroom space. The Owner Tina was great to work with. I will work with Seestedt's again when I update my stairs and upper level of my home. I see my hometown is listed as someplace in California. Not true, Saint Paul Minnesota suburb.

I prepared the floor exactly as Chuck at J.O.Thompson suggested. Chuck inspected the floor before scheduling the installation, telling me the floor preparation was very good. I specifically asked Chuck about the samples which he provided, which were not flat, and if this would affect how they stayed stuck to the floor. Chuck assured me his installer would stick them firmly to the floor without a problem.

The Women's Drum Center was doing a major facelift to create a percussion appreciation center. The…read moreold carpet was from a big box store and had duct tape along the seams of the three sections. J.O. Thompson was recommended to me and I could not be happier. I met Chuck at the store to discuss my issues and we scheduled a visit to the Women's Drum Center where they made recommendations for a transition edge to allow us to move loading carts over the edges and not create a tripping hazard. They also recommended heat sealing the 3 sections so it appears as one large piece! JOT came in the day before to remove the old carpeting allowing us to mop the floor. They ran the new carpeting all the way to the wall providing a much cleaner look and cutting around a large column. The quality of the new carpet is so nice on bare feet. The work team was efficient, respectful and did a great job cleaning up after the installation.

This leaked behind our fridge and into our wood floors for weeks before the water level was high enough to puddle. We had a specific wood type that we were hoping to replicate. Thankfully Unique Wood Floors carried that same wood type. After my initial call, their project manager Jim contacted us to schedule a visit. We had our estimate less than a day after our visit. We stopped by their showroom in St. Paul and spoke with Michael who helped us view the flooring we were interested in. We placed our order for our flooring. Within a few weeks we were contacted for our installation. Our installer was named Al. More like super Al! Al tore out our old flooring which looked to be a very tough job. He then installed our new floor. As Al was wrapping up, first he swept the floor, then he was back down on his hand and knees with a towel wiping our floor clean. Wow. Talk about commitment. We were also impressed that Jim stopped out to check on the progress, then again after the install was completed to make sure everything looked good. Not only did it look good, we felt it looked great! I have to admit, I am very particular about how things look and our floor really looks great. We discussed and agreed to the project schedule and expectations. What transpired was a serious lack of transparency and management. We were taken advantage of including paying for work that was never done and were told it was, hurried work that required rework multiple times, schedule slippage by multiple weeks causing us to incur additional costs and rescheduling subsequent contractors. John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework. We have been working with Mingle and Studio M on a project that isn't really huge, but we have…read morereceived amazing customer service and attention every single time we come in. I have been working with Carly from Studio M who is coordinating the design side of the project. To address the previous reviewers complaint about Mingle not taking small jobs, there is something this reviewer is leaving out. Studio M will not contribute design help until you sign a contract for their time as they are a separate but complimentary entity that provides extra design services for Mingle clients. It would be absurd to expect a design firm to provide free services without a contract. Also, it would be absurd to expect a company to place an order with their supplier without a deposit. So, it is possible the communication from the previous reviewer was a bit poor. But, back to my review. First of all, our project was well under 50K. I would estimate it around 20-25K. And I have to admit that Mingle's opulent showroom initially intimidated me so much, I went through the doors with a great deal of skepticism. However, I am happy to have been proven very wrong about the perception that they would only work with big jobs. I was very upfront with them about the size of our new home and they remained unflinchingly helpful. Love love love working with Carly and Mike. We came to Mingle in a panic after realizing the cabinet supplier the builder was using just wasn't providing the service we needed. After losing weeks with the previous supplier, we were up against a wall, and Mike worked quickly with my husband to put together drawings and a quote. Then, Carly and I tweeked the layout and wood selection. It was an extremely quick process that went smoothly because of Mike and Carly's the high levels of experience, expertise and professionalism. Because Carly is an independent designer, I am able to bring items, swatches, and ideas from outside of Mingle, while utilizing the amazing selection Mingle offers. The process Studio M offers is really very fluid and flexible and helped me immensely in getting design decisions made and move our project along quickly. I am not a designer and I have never liked the selection process, but working with Carly has been extremely enjoyable because of her ability to assess and offer up reasonable options that fit my needs. Our meetings have been at Mingle, on-site and at a tile shop so far, but I look forward to using Carly's services throughout this design selection process and so appreciate her ability to help set priorities in the design and building process.

Go elsewhere and don't waste your time with them. Here is our experience: We dropped in on a weekend to discuss a remodeling project for our Maple Grove home. We were hoping for guidance on how their services work and to get started on our own remodel project, but we were told that they cannot talk about our project until we sign a contract and agree to work with them. At this point in our project we were still trying to determine if the remodel we wanted was physically possible (i.e., could we knock out certain walls and move laundry machines, etc.). They said we can bring in pictures and they can look at it - but I was more comfortable having a contractor actually see the space in person to make that determination. Again, I was told that I would need to sign a contract before any of that could happen. I asked if we could at least speak with a contractor first to determine if it was feasible; I wasn't about to commit to a project and provide a retainer fee when we didn't know if it would even be possible. They reluctantly agreed to send me a few names of contractors so I could reach out to them. I gave my phone number & email to the Mingle representative, but we never heard back from her. I later followed up with an email to her and she never responded. A royal brush off and great way to do business, Mingle. Not impressed in the least. We thought we'd give them another chance, however. Maybe we just got the wrong person and would have better luck next time. My husband called and got directed to the appropriate person - but had to leave a message. That message - left at least 2 weeks ago - remains unreturned and I have no confidence that they will ever call. Another fumble for team Mingle! They will, however, see me one more time - when I triumphantly return to Pretty Woman them with the receipts from my completed project. Maybe that will encourage them to pay more attention to customers in the future; I'm not sure how they can manage to run their business otherwise. Good luck to them.

They give you one on one attention and listen to your needs and wants. We have used them for our flooring needs multiple times with multiple houses from carpet to laminate to LVP and have always been over the moon with our final product. Even when we have needed carpet patched because of a paint spill, their carpet installers patched it so well we couldn't find where the patch was. I would never go anywhere else for my flooring needs.

For the stairway runner, we had a specific design in mind and eventually found it online at a different merchant. We truly appreciated Jarod's flexibility and willingness to have their installers handle the stair runner installation along with the carpet they sold us. After selecting the carpet, we realized we needed refinishing on the stained and painted surfaces of our stairway before runner installation. Jarod found a skilled painter to handle that part of the work. Once the painting and staining were completed, their installation crew--Sam and Corey--arrived and meticulously installed both the carpet and runner. We are genuinely grateful for their attention to detail, professionalism, and personable approach. Their focus on perfection throughout the installation was evident, and working with them was a pleasure. In the end, everything looks fantastic, and we could not be happier with the results. We selected this place because it was local. Mistake! They were helpful in the selection process…read more The installers come in - never even introduce theirselves. They do the job. Their goal as stated to me is to "clean up at least 90% of the post installation mess". We had 0% cleaned up. Carpet threads all over the house, staples all over the floors. We ran the vacuum at least 10x to get all of the debris picked up. Shortly after install we notice visible seams. A large one with an unfinished area in the main room. Another very visible seam in the bedroom. They did send a repair specialist to attempt to fix the seam. After being told they would "re-stretch" and fix, he was at the house for 10 minutes. Threw 2 staples down and hit the seem with a carpet hammer. Off he went. So much for the re-stretch. So much for the mentioned independent inspection. It looks the same. Not to mention, coming 1:45min late for the repair appointment. Also, the man I spoke to "Mike" with horrific customer service speaking to me like I was his child. Lecturing me how to justify the incompetence of the installers. We try to support local. AWFUL all around ! Embarrassing.
