Entrance so colorful - you can't miss it!

This sister location to Village Coffee is a gem. Prepared food, sandwiches, coffee and baked goods as well as fresh produce from local farms eggs, milk, cheese yogurt, jams, honey and bulk items like dried beans, granola, pasta, nuts and seeds. Even laundry detergent. Prices are mostly reasonable. Cute outdoor tables if you want to eat on site. I love that you can bring your own containers or they have paper bags if you forget. People even donate glass jars, which is very clever. It's a small place and it does get fairly busy, and a bit cramped. Also, you need to do all of your own weighing of the bulk items, which can be confusing the first visit and time consuming, so plan ahead for that.

Check this rice bowl out! Vegan I think! Mad good, crunchy, all the veggies were pickled. Flavors!! Those mushrooms were elevated.

They had a good amount of seating (including both in the coffee area as well as surrounding the books). The service was friendly and they had a really good variety of books to choose from. I'd come here all the time if I lived close by.

It's located on such a charming street, and stepping inside felt like walking into an elevated Barnes & Noble straight out of a Harry Potter movie. There are endless shelves of books across every genre, cozy seating throughout, and the perfect atmosphere to spend hours browsing or reading. The coffee was just as wonderful as the space. I wasn't sure what to order, so the barista recommended a drink and was incredibly accommodating with my many requests. I can't have too much milk or syrup, so I basically gave them a complicated custom order, and they made it exactly to my liking without hesitation. I also ended up buying one of the chocolate bars they had at the counter and turns out it was $20!!!! As a tourist, I had no idea it was a well known local chocolate brand with a factory nearby, so that was a fun surprise. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. I'd love to come back, grab a coffee, spend the entire afternoon reading, and just soak in the comforting smell of books and fresh coffee. Such a cozy, magical spot that's well worth visiting!

Little options: no decaf, only one alternative milk choice. I opted for the mocha and I will say it was delicious. I ordered a small and was given a large cup but she explained she ran out of small cups so it's a small size in a large cup. Not an issue, but all of it together left an unpleasant taste. Mocha was yummy, but not sure it was tasty enough for me to return to this unwelcoming space.

I asked for a bowl and she very abruptly expressed that she was only doing a limited menu today, no bowls. She could make an egg and cheese sandwhich and it would be 10 minutes. I said I was willing to come back and ordered the sandwhich. As I stepped away, I watched the woman behind the counter go back to her phone. No wonder the place is always empty. There was NOTHING welcoming about the experience. If I wasn't so darn hungry, I would have said "forget it." The sandwhich itself was really good, and a great price (compared to the rest of uptown Kingston), which I appreciated. She thanked me for coming back for the sandwhich and that was that. Really too bad the place isn't more welcoming. They'd have more customers from nearby offices, I'm sure.

For quick in and outs to grab coffee, you can pull into the wrap around driveway, or there is additional parking in the back. Anthony is the heart and soul behind the carefully curated Arios Coffeehaus. He is always welcoming and very friendly. We also love when his mom is filling in for him! The vibe is very classy, easy going and makes me feel like I'm in a little Italian cafe. My favorite drink is the midnight coconut. Collectively between myself, my boyfriend, and cousin we have tried every drink on the menu and every one of them hits the spot every time. We love the loyalty cards and make sure we always have ours in the car. This is my favorite coffee spot ever so far. I love the emphasis on local here. You can't help but to be aware of all the love and care that is continually poured into Arios. The key to your success will be to always remember that love and intention are the secret ingredients to anything good in life. Thank you for every wonderful visit!
