Came here for a family brunch with about 10 people and three young kids and we were lucky to find a nice table at around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. I have never been to the village Inn, but I have heard that it is a staple for yummy affordable breakfast and good vibes. I don't remember our server's name, but she was attentive, especially given our table size and high chairs, etc. I tried the caramel iced coffee that they had on their special coffee menu, I asked for a little sugar as possible, one pump of the caramel, if that was it, but it was super sweet. I wanted just some egg whites, turkey, sausage, and French toast and the lady was very helpful in recommending. I just get these as an individual sides instead of a specific breakfast menu item. I also tried the country fried steak and the ragin cajun skillet and was pleasantly surprised by the ability for them to create yummy food with such a diverse menu. All I can say is WOW! This was our first time back to village Inn. It has been a very long time since we came! They did a complete transformation from the outside and the inside. It looks so elevated to say the least and completely caught us by surprise. We had heard from the grapevine that the French toast were good and oh my God. THE WERE THE BEST FRENCH TOAST IVE EVER HAD. Ordered pies for our holiday meal. It's easy to order online and pick the time and day for pick up. Parked and headed in. Associates were friendly and helpful. Very efficient too. Packed up my pies and I was on my way. They are so delicious. Went with pumpkin and key lime this year. I will order again. Restaurant looked clean. Terrible experience from the moment we arrived. I went with my family, and we waited for quite a while because there was no hostess and no one came over to greet us, even though the restaurant was mostly empty and only about 25% of the tables were occupied. After waiting without receiving any attention, I decided to sit at an available table on my own. To be clear, I was the only one who sat down, while the rest of my family continued waiting to be seated properly. When an employee named Kayla finally came over to seat us, it turned out to be the same table where I was already sitting. Instead of speaking to us politely or explaining anything, she came over with a very arrogant attitude and threw the menus onto the table as if she were doing us a favor. Our server was actually very kind and pleasant, and we had no issue with her at all. However, Kayla's diva attitude completely ruined the experience from the start, and we decided to leave without ordering. If the restaurant had been full or extremely busy, I could understand a delay, but that was clearly not the case. The lack of attention at the entrance and Kayla's unprofessional behavior toward my family were completely unnecessary. read more

No one was available to greet us upon arrival, and there were three people waiting for a table. We stood at the hostess station for nearly 10 minutes, and no one came. There were open tables that the three people ahead of us could have been seated at, but there was no interest in getting them seated or in taking our name. Completely disappointing customer service - and it's a shame - the restaurant has been completely renovated and looks so fresh. We've been here now for 45 minutes and STILL haven't gotten our food, despite informing the GM that we are on a tight schedule. There is almost nobody in the place besides us. I've never really been a fan of breakfast foods especially around breakfast/brunch time. It's a shame that most brunch places close around 2pm. Insert Village Inn. A modest diner-style eatery which boasts quite an extensive menu featuring the classics (2 egg combo with meat) to a bit more elevated fair (French toast with strawberry and banana!). Not only do they serve breakfast, they have a few dinner options like burgers, sandwiches, and home style dinners which all sound extremely appetizing. Service here is friendly and fast. read more

Yeah...Just turn around and walk out. This place barely gets business it seems and everything is disgusting. Even the food they serve you is turning rancid. My cheese had a small mold forming on it, and the lettuce was brown in multiple spots. Like I said, seeing that filthy wall as I sat down was a HUGE red flag and I should've known better. Village inn is a place I frequent for a nice meal that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but honestly if it's this garbage you're going to serve it's no wonder you're all struggling financially as a chain. read more

We have been coming to this location for awhile. There has been ups and down on services. During that time, there was a server named Holly and she always provided execellent services. We actually asked for her tables when things got real bad. the host/es thought that was kinda odd.. witht the new renovations (pastel oranges anyone?) and new management, the service has been consistenly good. place is kept clean and bright and the rest of the team members seem to be happy working here. I'm here for the pies, the hot breakfasts and unlimited coffee. They also have a super positive attitude and a friendly staff. I've been going to the Southland's locations since Southland's opened and never really had any problems. The wait time is usually under 5 mintues on busy days. Although the food service can be later then other breakfast places. The skillet meals are delicious and you can request different proteins. There hasn't been a pie, I didn't like here. During the holidays you can pre-order your pies. Most of the time you don't have to worry about not having your favorites when you arrive. read more

I have been here twice with my parents. The first time we went, the service was polite, but pretty slow even though it wasn't very busy. We were slightly impatient, wondering what could be taking so long. Then we heard one of the waitresses talking about how two people had called in sick that day, which explained the slow service. We also had a table of people near us who kept up a steady stream of complaints and constantly needed assistance from a staff who was clearly already stretched thin, so that played into it as well. We chalked it up to a one-off experience and decided to return. The second and most recent time we came here, it still wasn't that busy and the service was just as friendly, but much faster. They have a huge menu to satisfy whatever craving you could possibly have. They serve breakfast all day, which always scores big points with me. My go-tos are the build-your-own omelet or the French dip sandwich. The prices here are very reasonable and they are definitely open later than most other restaurants in the area. I also like the phone charging lockers they have, which are beginning to pop up at various places and are always a nice perk. It was an especially welcome discovery as my phone's battery was almost dead on this second visit. As with most places in the 'burbs, parking is abundant. read more

At a time in my life where I'm calorie conscious, I really appreciate the calories on the menu. Maybe I won't be so happy about it if I was ordering pie, but today, we had breakfast. There was 8 of us, 4 moms and 4 in high chairs. Our waitress was very nice and conscious of putting things out of baby reach. We even ended up with another staff member almost becoming a babysitter! Watching and holding kids for us if we had to put them down to pay or whatever. And the guy at the register was super friendly too. I ordered from the VIB Menu. Scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, buttermilk pancakes and fresh fruit. Everything tasted good and I like that the portion sizes aren't ridiculously huge like at many other places. I also had green tea, and while it was fine, the water wasn't very hot. The pot it came out in also had a wonky lid so it didn't really keep the heat in well. read more

So I am standing in the yard this morning waiting for my Rent-a-Dog to stop playing in the leaves so I could get myself to work and it hit me. I'm hungry! I didn't want the normal whatever was open at 5:30 in the morning fast muffin thing. Then it hit me, there's a Village Inn on my way to work since I am on this side of town now. Entry trusty Yelp App... Look them up and give a call. I guess before it never dawned on me that you can call in an order for pick up. This made me happy, very happy. It took a few rings for them to pick up the phone as it was ugly early for everyone involved. Then I was stumped, what the heck did I actually want?? I remembered they made Potato Pancakes, yes that would do nicely. Well since I had been there last they expanded their Potato Pancake offerings. They now have Southwest ones and something that my attention Potato Pancakes with Sausage and Gravy. It's also served with eggs and some fruit. No eggs thanks, so they included a little extra sausage and some extra fruit. That would do nicely for sure. A little heavy for the hour, but the good thing is once you have it you can eat it when you actually get to it. In my case it was closer to 8 when it actually was consumed. By the time I arrived at the location, there was my breakfast all bagged up and ready to go. I was able to quickly pay and get back on the road to work. For me it's a great special occasion alternative when I am not in my normal place or just want a little something different and can't sit and eat. It's nice to know there is something more than just the Golden Arches or BK before 6 am. Give it a try if you're out and about early or even late! read more

Walked in and several tables needed cleaned. Took five minutes to order drinks and the server had an attitude. Another server approached to take our order she was great. Still took another five minutes to get water and tea. Then the manager came out on the floor, looking like he crawled out of a duffel bag with his shirt untucked and an attitude, which explained the employees and the restaurant. Then the food showed up overcooked and partially burned and the toast was wrong. Customers entering an empty restaurant were told to wait 15 minutes with six employees on the floor. Village Inn is a chain, yes. Chain restaurants are never amazing, yes. Having said that, this place has become my go to breakfast spot in my area, admittedly partially because I'm in 'burbia and away from all the cool local spots in Denver proper. Three reasons I love this place: -Cheap -Delicious -Great, quick service You can be in and out in less than an hour and still get a nice hot breakfast. That's pretty cool. If you're in the area and looking for good, cheap breakfast with great service...look no further. One final note-they offer take out and breakfast all day. Translation? If you're craving flapjacks, bacon, and eggs at 8 at night, just give them a call and it can happen. Score! read more

Ooohhh delicious breakfast delights!!! Came here on Monday with my husband for lunch. It was his way of getting out of cooking for me. After moving here, all I heard was how delicious their breakfasts are and I finally got to test it out! The location wasn't very busy and we were seated immediately. I like the decor! It reminds me of the Curtis hotel downtown. Everything is very bright and retro and looks recently updated. The menu is huge and there is no shortage of breakfast delights. They also offer a flat price and you can choose four items from a list. I had the 'it's all greek to me' omelette, which normally comes with granola and yogurt, and multigrain pancakes. They were out of yogurt and so I had a side of fruit instead. The omelette was delicious and filled with artichokes, spinach, peppers, and cheese. The fruit was pineapple, grapes, and honeydew and was nice and sweet. The pancakes were my favorite part. They're spicy with cinnamon and so amazingly fluffy and delicious. There was more than enough food and it was all fabulous. My husband had the combo meal and had the cheese omelette, bacon, hashbrowns, and french toast. He was very pleased with it all and managed to eat most of it. Overall, service was fabulous and very prompt. Breakfast for the two of us was only ~$30 with tip and I'll definitely be back! We waited for 35 min. for a table. Once seated, we waited another 15 min. for drinks until I had to get up and find a manager to ask for a glass of water. The women's bathroom was really dirty and had no toilet paper. My husband said the men's was dirty as well. There were also ants on the floor in the stall. Once we finally got our food, we couldn't begin eating without syrup which took even longer. I eventually had to get up and ask another server for some so we could begin eating. The manager came to ask how it was, we said fine and he thought that was a great answer. No wonder this place is a mess. Absolutely disgusting. We will never return to this location. We went at a pretty quiet time. Eduardo did a great job keeping an eye on us. The chicken avocado sandwich was quite good. Messy, but good. The chicken was cooked PERFECTLY! The mushrooms, green peppers, onions and avocado slid all over so I didn't bother adding the lettuce, tomato and pickles. It was a good, sloppy mess of a sammich. The fries were fries.
