We stopped here for dinner after a long drive. Service was good food was pretty good too. Breakfast all day which I like. I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had a Reuben and fried.

Such a great place to stop by for a breakfast or lunch. On the way to Nebraska we stopped by for delicious breakfast. We ordered omelets with pancakes and were so happy with our choice. On the way back to Denver we stopped by for a lunch. My husband had turkey avocado sandwich and I had Reuben -- both sandwiches were super delicious, fresh and cooked just perfectly. They have a variety of pies which were also very delicious. Definitely a great place to eat.

The Village Inn was like a moment back to the 80's. A comfort choice for sure. As I walked in I noticed a few customers enjoying their meals. Looking around as I was seated, I noticed the old style seating, bench tables and the glass display case full of a variety of delicious pies. So yummy! The menu is simple and both sided laminated in a hard plastic and kinda sticky. The waitress was delightful and charming taking my order promptly. I ordered the Double Decker Club sandwich with a cup of Tomato Basil soup. In my mind I pictured, thick sliced bread with mounds of meat, bacon and tomatoes with thick mayo. When the waitress brought my food over I was so excited to see what I was going to be eating. Closer and closer as the waitress walked towards me, she sat down a plate with a sandwhich on it and my mind went WHAT? Not what I wanted to see but I ate it. It was better then what I though it would be. The cup of soup came out on 2 plates in a small cup with a pack of crackers. The soup was good but did have a high tomato paste flavor. As I ate more I could taste the basil and by then the soup was gone. The prices for the meals were great as the food reflected the prices. I did notices that they do a great deal of takeout orders. Great place for quick comfort foods and affordable prices.

Good food, but new waitress forgot to put in our order, so it was a long wait. She was very apologetic, as was the manager, and they comped the meal for me and my partner. I'll definitely try it again.

Just what we we're looking for on our road trip. Simple and clean diner with fresh (not greasy) breakfast. Staff was kind!

    Sunny side up :)

Apparently serving paying customers a few minutes before closing was too much to ask. My reply to the owner... Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, your response reinforces the concerns I expressed in my original review. Rather than addressing the customer experience, you chose to dismiss it by focusing on the time we arrived and by implying that my review was the result of me "needing a great day." That kind of sarcasm does not reflect the level of professionalism customers should expect from a business owner. You stated that you personally saw us enter at 9:40 PM and that the kitchen had already closed at 9:30 PM. However, I take accuracy seriously, and I do not appreciate being misrepresented. I have a screenshot documenting the time I left your establishment, which directly contradicts the timeline presented in your response. If the facts are important enough for you to publicly defend your business, they should also be important enough to present truthfully. To be clear, businesses have every right to establish kitchen hours and closing procedures. Had the situation simply been explained professionally and courteously, my review likely would have reflected that. What stands out is not the policy itself, but the way concerns were handled afterward. I travel extensively throughout the United States and internationally, reviewing small family-owned businesses because I genuinely enjoy supporting them. In many cases, when an owner responds thoughtfully and demonstrates a commitment to customer service, I am willing to reconsider or update a review. In this case, however, instead of leaning into customer service and understanding, you chose to defend, justify, and direct sarcasm toward a customer. I can accept mistakes. What I have a much harder time accepting is dishonesty. The screenshot of the time I left your establishment speaks for itself. I wish you and your business the best, but I stand by my review. To make matters worse, we had a similar experience elsewhere in Sterling when a Sonic employee snapped at us for trying to place an order. Thankfully, Village Inn restored a little faith in customer service with friendly staff, welcoming patrons, and genuine hospitality. If you're traveling through town, don't expect Parts and Labor to go out of its way for customers. We were in and out in under a minute--with nothing but a bad impression to take with us.

I see reviews where this place was busy...not today. 10am on a Saturday morning and I'm the only table. CU game is on so maybe everyone is watching the game? Edit: that's not the case. Barely see any places use paper straws anymore, yet here you can find them... love the old school touch... The Good: This seems to be the place for all the locals to go for lunch and you can feel it in the welcoming atmosphere. As out of towners we didn't get any funky looks but instead we treated as if we come here twice a week. Our son's Mexican Burger was very delicious and my wife's Gourmet Grilled Chicken Salad did not disappoint at all either. The Bad: My Taco Salad was more of a ground beef salad with tortilla chips and salsa in the side. It was a well tasting salad, yet not earning the Mexican part if it at all. The dressings on my wife's Gourmet Grilled Chicken Salad were also pre packaged and that surprised us a bit as most places like this take pride in making dressings from scratch. The Ugly Truth: We were very delighted with the welcoming smiles and large portions of mouth watering options for our lunch stop. We will definitely consider stopping in again if we pass through when they are open (see the bfast and lunch open times) it would have earned a 5 star plus if the Taco Salad would have had some type of Mexican taste to it. That being my disappointment dropped it to 4 stars. Looking around all the other plates in front of happy customers we saw, the portions on all meals were more then plenty to calm your hungry stomach. Enjoy if you decide to drop in...

At first I didn't think it was open. Only one vehicle in the parking lot. I peered in through the door and didn't really see anyone. I went back outside to take some photos of the business and an older man came partially out the door and told me they were open. I finished outside and in I went. The interior was themed with John Wayne and I only saw about 8 tables. The lights are very low and the atmosphere was quiet. The gentleman brought me a water and soon after a waitress appeared. I had fried sliced dill pickles for an appetizers. YUM I ordered from The Littleton Pilgrim section. I ordered the 4oz Top Sirloin Dinner extremely well done. My sides were steak fries and fresh green beans and home made rolls. My steak was cooked perfect for me and the fries and green beans were so fresh. The rolls were a little over done but very flavorable. A little pricy for dinner but great food and service. $$$$ The interior is vintage dated with, hard to see with just old low lights hanging. I generally try to judge a restaurant not only by its food, but by the overall experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. We arrived with a larger group, and from the moment we walked in, it felt as though our presence was more of an inconvenience than an opportunity to welcome guests. Large parties can certainly require extra effort, but hospitality is often what separates an average restaurant from a memorable one. Instead of feeling welcomed, we left feeling like we had disrupted the staff's day. As for the food, it was okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing particularly stood out either. It was serviceable and met expectations, but it wasn't memorable enough to outweigh the disappointing customer service experience. I'm sharing this review because I genuinely hope ownership takes it as constructive feedback. Restaurants succeed when guests feel valued, and with a little more attention to hospitality, I believe the overall experience could improve significantly.
