A group of 10 went in before a show and had the family feast and it was enough for 6 of us and we had leftovers. Good food !!

I had the 2 meat with coleslaw. Beef brisket was tender and good. Could of had a little more smoke flavor but was good. Pork Belly OMG was spot on. Perfect in every way. So delicious!! I sat at the bar and service was excellent. Lacking 1 star because of only 4 subpar beers on tap. Come on BBQ n Beer? A brewery right next door that was closed on Monday's. Why wouldn't you support it with some of there brews on tap? Maybe small town rivalry? I'm passing through. Made a good choice on this one. read more

The hotspot has always been overpriced! Moving out to the golf course was probably the best move they made; the reason I say, that is, there's a captive audience at the golf course! Frankly, you don't get what you pay for. I find the food ridiculously overpriced.ok so you want more input. The street tacos are $15 for 3... NOT enough meat to justify the price. They are mediocre at best. The no bake strawberry cheesecake $10 a slice... wow for that price I could have made an entire cheesecake! I'm entitled to my input. It's just how I felt about the food and the atmosphere is dim and outdated. I will add that our server was very friendly and very attentive! read more

The wife and I were looking for a foodery that was open on a Sunday. What luck we had in finding this smokehouse. She loves BBQ and had the brisket sandwich and I had the prime rib sandwich. Added the potato salad and a beer (they have both tap and bottled). We both rated our sandwiches EXCELLENT. The staff was great and most helpful with selections and prompt service. A neat clear dining room and a great location with plenty of parking (we were towing our horse trailer). Sterling has a dearth of good eateries. Place this one at the top. read more

I was traveling through Colorado for Spring Break last week and had the opportunity to eat at the Hot Spot Smokehouse in Sterling. I had yummy appetizers and ordered the Street Tacos! It was a great amount of food with homemade green sauce that left me wanting more!!! And let me not forget to mention all the HOMEMADE DESSERTS!!!! My kids loved the cookies!!! The carrot cake was sold out by the time I was ready. I hear it's fabulous! The bar has a great atmosphere with so many drink options! I love small businesses and encourage you all to stop in if you are passing through the area on I-76! You will not regret it!!! I havent had good BBQ in a very long time, and after my experience today at The Hot Spot Smokehouse... the search continues. The service was awesome. Our server was polite, attentive and lightning fast. However, and not taking anything away from her, it isnt much of an accomplishment to be quick when you only have one table. Yep. We litterally were the only people there the entire time we were there. What kind of sign should I take that as? Then the food came. I got the two meat plate, brisket & 1/4 rack of baby back ribs. My Dad got a half rack of baby back ribs. I got BBQ beans on the side, and Dad got potato salad. My ribs were just a bit on the dry side. Like its been under a lamp too long. Very disappointing after looking over at Dad and his ribs, and the delight in his face as the meat dripped off the bone and onto his plate. He said they were juicy and awesome. Their spicy BBQ sauce was a dim highlight. I applied copious amounts of it to my plate. The BBQ beans were the best Ive had in recent memory. I wish I ordered a fresh half rack like Dad's and two orders of these amazing beans. Im sure this review would have went a bit differently if I had. Their potato salad was standard. I was craving brisket the most, and wouldnt you know it? Hands down, the worst brisket Ive ever had in my entire life. It was just gross. Completely flavorless. Infact, it tasted like its been soaking in water and someone squeezed it dry. It was so gross I couldnt finish it, and so displeasing theres no way in good conscious I can give this place anything higher than 2 stars. All things considered... The prices were decent. The staff was great. It was creepy we were the only customers there the whole time. Dads food was apparently top notch, he had no complaints. Besides the BBQ beans, my food sucked ass and you've just read me complain heavily! I can see potential if this place gets its shit together. Overpriced and very average bbq. Smoked brisket sandwiches had no flavor and the potato salad bland.

The food is good but their prices are very expensive. But the last 3 times we have ordered to go there have been things missing from our order or changed without asking us. Then on 2 other occasions they were closed in spite of their hours showing that they were opened. Sometimes you go to call them and it goes straight to a voicemail saying the mailbox is full. Due to their unreliability on several occasions, the latest being today on Mother's Day, where we placed an order online only to show up and see that they were closed again without any notifications online and to where orders could still be placed online, we will no longer be giving them our business! read more

Stopped for lunch after a meeting. WOW I am into this place. The food is excellent the service is stellar I asked for a recommendation and she sold me on the street tacos with rib meat. Comes with three tacos chips salsa and green chili. The chips were fresh made to order. The green chili is spicy and the tacos are huge compared to others I have had so three is more than enough. Dessert is made local and portions are XL. Trying to figure out how to get back out here again. Total for lunch with drink and dessert 20.00. read more

From out of town we ate here on August 15th for the first time. We both ordered the special which was a chopped prime rib sandwich. EXCELLENT! Both the onion rings and the fried mushrooms great. Brisket must have been stored in water and had less texture than an over cooked pot roast, no flavor. Turkey was overcooked! This is, hands down, the worst food And service I've had anywhere since moving to Sterling in March! The waitress came off as a crack head, right down to the teeth and the twitching and ticks. She disappeared from the floor for 45 minutes straight and we had empty glasses and needed assistance the entire time. The special of the day was bbq grilled shrimp. No mention was made of the fact that they poured cayenne powder over it. (And I don't eat spicy food). The "special recipe" macaroni and cheese was so bland that I've had better in a hospital cafeteria. The beans were... greasy mush. Just gross. And the worst thing of all, the OWNER was sitting at the table right next to us and couldn't be bothered with ANY of it. $75 total for my husband and I, and we left it all on the table, walked out and went to Burger King. Our food was excellent. We had a two meat plate and were given ample servings of brisket and turkey. You must try the sides, as the Mac n cheese was delicious and so we're the green beans.
