This business was an incredible find for me. I was looking around for somewhere to have a large…read morephoto print made that I was planning to enter into the West Hartford Annual Juried art show called CT +6. A photographic supply company in East Hartford recommended i contact Photosynthesis in Manchester. After looking at their website I realized this was a very professional operation. I called them up and the owner Chris was extremely helpful. I needed to have an 11 by 13 print developed and a properly fitting mat cut for it. This is a non-standard size but Chris said he could do it over night and when I went to pick it up the results where beyond my expectations. The print was very sharp and rich in color and the mat was cut perfectly for it. He let me assemble the frame there and even kept the shop open an hour and a half after the normal closing time so I could finish up. Chris also answered many questions I had due to the fact that I am not extremely experienced in digital photography. We made some adjustments to my photo on his computer using photoshop too. His studio is very large and located in the silk city part of Manchester. The photographic equipment there looked to be very modern and large. They accommodate both the newer digital photography as well as the older dark room type of photography and there is a very generous amount of work space, very large tables and every sort of tool you might require. While I was there another artist was working on a project where his finished print was about 4 feet by 5 feet. And I think it was even printed on some type of cloth. My impression is that this studio can accommodate almost any photographic project you could dream up. I also saw a person picking up standard photos that had been processed there so i think this might also be a great place to print your precious personal photos as well. All in all my experience with Photosynthesis was perfect and the owner Chris went well out of his way to help my project be the best it could possibly be.

What a great place to go if you have any interest in traditional photography. The owner is very…read moreknowledgeable and helpful. And he even has a little gallery so you check out the work of some local photographers.
