great food and service! we all had different items from the menu and everyone in our party was loving their food! the staff is very attentive, which is saying something because it was packed with people. the only downside was the noise level. the brick walls, open ceiling, and hard flooring amplified every person's conversation. it was like being in a rock concert! we couldn't talk to each other at all and sometimes it reached painful levels. i think closing in the ceiling and maybe adding something on the walls to deaden the sound would work and is definitely needed as we are probably not going to come back due to the noise.....not the food and service...its a shame... read more

This is a great place to get a burger! They have tons of options and I chose the western burger since the waitress highly recommended it! She was right! It was an explosion of deliciousness! We also had the fried Brussels sprouts and they were fabulous! read more

Went here for lunch today and I must say that this is one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington, MI. Had the Fried Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer and the balsamic sauce was very tasty with the shaved Parmesan. Ordered the Western Burger with Seasoned Fries as an entree and the burger with very good with the onion rings, BBQ sauce and bacon along with the pickles, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Waited 5 minutes to be seated and then decided to seat ourselves in the bar. Waited another 10 minutes without even a hello from anyone. Waited a bit more and then decided to leave. Very rude-I've never been treated so poorly by employees that were clearly standing around at the bar. I didn't have a good feeling leaving. Wouldn't go back. read more

Came in simply because I saw someone post mushroom fries...I was drooling just thinking about them. Come to find out they don't serve them anymore..oh well. Tried the admirals special because I wanted fish & chips but this had more variety...cod, perch, shrimp with 2 sides..yummy. The fish was nice and flaky and fresh and the shrimp nice and juicy. Had a side of onion rings..which were good and brussel sprouts which were nice and crispy. Hapoy with our experience but still wish they had the mushrooms. read more

We are still waiting for our food, apparently they lost our ticket according to our waitress. It has been over a half hour since we were seated & it is not busy at all. The waitress then asked if we would like a complimentary chips & spinach dip but brought out chips & a small cup of salsa. I asked her why we didn't get the spinach dip & she said the manager said it was too big on the platter for us. Very disappointing read more

Went to this restaurant for dinner and was terribly disappointed. I ordered the mini angus burgers and they were awful. No taste what so ever. Service was super slow. No silverware at the table. Drinks took forever to order and twice as long to receive. Asked for a glass for my bottle beer and got the glass when I was half way done drinking the beer. Walking in my expectations were a little high, as the place was well-decorated and seemed busy. The hostess was the only person bussing 5+ tables which caused delays in us being sat and being brought menus & water. There seems to be a lack of organization with the wait staff as our waitress approached us asking if anyone had already started serving us. It took quite some time for anything to be brought to us but we were hungry and tired and decided to wait anyway. I ordered the antipasto salad without meat, my boyfriend ordered the Michigan salad. The first time they brought out my salad it had meat. The second time it had a hair, the third time it was fine. My boyfriend enjoyed his salad, though the consistency of the dressing was a bit strange. Nonetheless, it was delicious for him. The salads are served on flat plates and the dressing is not mixed in before. I would recommend requesting for the dressing to be mixed in as it's not easy to mix it in on the plate. The third time I received my salad it was made correctly, it's just very clear that none of the contents are fresh ingredients. The lettuce was limp and the vegetables seemed prepackaged. The drinks, however, were delicious. Despite having to wait so long for them. Definitely some of the most uncomfortable and undesirable service I've had in a while. read more

Stopped in after a local guy recommended we try this instead of Windjammer. The server was very friendly and sweet. We ordered their "Ultimate Margarita", which was just okay (never had a margarita made with OJ before). I ordered a Cobb salad, and it was not all that great. Chicken was overcooked, and it was really lacking in flavor. We also had their onion soup, and it was a little too sweet, and LOADED with onions. Just okay as well. The guys ordered a beef shortrib dish, and both liked it, but it wasn't much for the cost. Probably would try Windjammer next time for comparison's sake! read more

Day trip with the family. Asked a clerk in a local party store where to go for dinner- he suggested the Village Pub. First off, loved the decor. Exposed brick, comfortable atmosphere. Enjoyed that there were two bars in the place and plenty of seating for dinning. Overall the building was very clean and modern. The family shared an onion ring appetizer and soft pretzels. Perfect portion sizes. We each got a little bit of each appetizer- but we all had room left for dinner. I'm still not eating red meat. So when I saw the gobbler (a turkey burger) I ordered it with the house tots. The burger itself was delicious. No complaints at all. The tot side was an interesting surprise. The tots were not like the type you buy in the store. The outside was crispy, but the inside was like a small buttery mashed potato. In short my meal was very good. My sister had the Big O. No complaints from her. The only two things, for me, was that the French fries had no real flavor without dipping sauce. Second, the dressing on my mom's salad (raspberry vinaigrette) wasn't overly tasteful either. Our server, Kyle, was awesome. He made sure that we had what we needed and got us what we asked for. He worked really well with us, especially when he had to inform us the restaurant was out of certain things due to the holiday weekend. read more

While visually exciting, the fish sandwich was heavily breaded and mushy. It seemed like the bun recently came out of the freezer. It was cold, doughy and stale. The Caesar salad was reminiscent of a pre-packaged Dole bag - iceberg lettuce, tiny flavorless crutons, cold rubbery chicken that was clearly not prepared to order, and mayonnaise-y dressing that was basically non-existent. The pub chips were the highlight of the meal, although far too salty. read more

4 star meal, bonus star for a behind the scenes tour of the theater. Great service by our server and the manager. Husband says his burger was great. I had the chicken Caesar salad wrap and house made chips with the French onion soup. Good beer and drink selection. I tried a Moscow mule and highly recommend it. Stopped in here last weekend with a group of friends for dinner on our girls weekend, the atmosphere was great...but... They were busy it was dinner time, there was a sold out show next door and they were not prepared for a busy night--total chaos! The young girl who waited on us took our drink order, came back shortly after to take our food order, about 20 + minutes go by...still no drinks..several minutes more and then our drinks came out followed immediately by our food--but wait...no silverware at the table, we asked for some several more minutes go by and no-one comes back..keep in mind we are observing another large table that came in after us getting served quickly and attentively, they even brought them silverware...after getting up and going to find someone we finally get some silverware...now about the food which is getting cold...I ordered the steak tip appetizer...unseasoned, not cooked well, did not taste good at all--had to send it back--at this point the manager should have come to the table..NOPE didn't happen...one of the others in our party ordered a Ceasar salad minus the chicken...it was a plate of iceberg lettuce with a little bit of parmesan and a few croutons--it was no Ceasar salad...they charged her 12.95 for a plate of lettuce...food was mediocre at best...we will take a hard pass next time in Lexington...too bad!! read more

My wife and I and friend of ours went in for dinner on 03/26/22 for dinner around 5:15. We were seated immediately and our waitress came and took our drink and dinner orders. She did a wonderful job! The theater was having an event later that night. We noticed a few tables around us that had reserved signs on them. Our dinner came out and we were eating and talking. About 15 to 20 minutes into our meal, the manager came to our table and asked if we were just about done. He said they had more people that were coming in and not enough tables. I noticed after he told us he went to another table and told two older women the same story. We were so insulted by his behavior. We could see the women at the other table were insulted too. We our regular local customers and come in every weekend. We help keep their doors open in the winter when the place is empty. We were so insulted by his behavior and gall. He must have never had any management training on how to treat your good customers. We will take our business where we are appreciated. read more

Great atmosphere, beautiful bar. I ordered mahi mahi sandwich. The fish was very small and dry, I didn't even bother writ the bun. It came with done chips. We waited awhile for food and then one the food came, had to wait for silverware. Big pet peeve of mine!! My husband ordered fish and chips, which was under whelming, one small piece of fish. Someone else had 2 pieces! He got Coleslaw with his, not sure why I didn't get it. Our sister got the burger and loved it. It was a good portion of beef and she loved the O sauce! I came here with friends last night and the experience was terrible. I ordered the pulled pork nachos, which I'd had a few weeks back and they were delicious. They never came. About 45 minutes later I finally saw our waitress again, and she was baffled that it had not come out. She was apologetic but I just told her to forget the order as pretty much everyone else in my party was ready to leave. Then when we were ready to leave, the "systems were down" so we had to wait an additional 20 or so minutes so everyone could cash out. Overall just a rough experience. Maybe caught on a bad night, but I'd rather spend my money on better service. read more

This place is super cute and their food is actually really good but the service is AWFUL. It took 15 minutes to even be approached by a waitress after we were seated when there were multiple of them running around the place and looking at us at our table. Then we finally were asked if anyone came to help us yet and we said no and the girl walked away and came back probably 10 minutes later and said well she sent out another waitress but apparently she's not coming so I'll take your order. Our food came out quick but then our waitress was gone again. We didn't see her until we were done and then it took a really long time to get us our bill. Another table actually got up and left after they were seated and no one helped them for over 20 minutes. They need to get it together here it seems they have no organization with their wait staff and no one knows where they're supposed to be. We've been here 3 times and it's bad every time probably will not go back! read more

I was a bit disappointed to learn that the previous establishment, the Celtic Ray, had closed, but not for long. This pub exceeded my expectations and even better, those of my wife. The menu isn't that big, but heck, there's some good variety and the preparation is exceptional. Seating is much more comfortable than the euro-chic Ray, with a bit of a retro industrial look. Seems to be better integrated with the theater. Servers were friendly, polite, timely and helpful. Definitely a "go to" spot in Lexington. read more

Five star atmosphere for a pub. I could see the lake from my window seat. Bar stools have backs and cushioned seats (yes!) and so does all of the seating. Wait staff was friendly. Bloody Mary actually had vodka in it...pickle, asparagus, and two green olives. Seasoned salt rim - very tasty. My husband was happy they had an IPA on draft. I had the chopped salad and it was fresh, healthy, and the hard boiled eggs seemed liked they had just been cooked. My sis had a quesadilla that was an appetizer, but a portion big enough for dinner for two. It was thick, gooey, had sauteed onions and red peppers in it, and she took more than half of it home. My husb had chopped salad too, with the raspberry vinagrette. He made the better choice on dressing - my ranch tasted home made which is awesome, but it was bland. I mixed his dressing with mine...perfect! Loved the place. Would look forward to returning when in town again. read more

This place is a very cute restaurant inside and out.. But the service is TERRIBLE!! I timed how long our appetizer came. It took them 45 mins just for an app. When we got the app it was cold and there were 2 pieces of large hair on the plate. It was hard to eat the app because we were given no silverware. When we asked another waitress to please give us some she gave us attitude and ended up never bringing us anything. Our waitress rarely came to us and when she did it seemed like she ran away because she didn't want us to bother her. Very rude staff and the food is not very good. Very disappointing service. Nice waiter just needed more organization. Watched the manager repeatedly focus on one table. She was getting beverages and food for only one table of 8. Assuming she knew them. She didnt have a clue about the rest of the tables. A few of us tables noticed and had talked while we all waited a really long time to be acknowledged, beverage orders, food. No one came back to refill waters or ask if we wanted a second drink or how the food was. Agree with other reviews mac and cheese good. Mahi sandwich just ok... small and dry.
