I travel 40 Minutes to get my Cigars here, I'm convinced it is the best in Suffolk County. I see it as a "cigar ride away." A large humidor room in back hosts a wide section and they are always fresh. The Indian owner is friendly as can be, and knows current events. I suggest some hand rolled Honduras for about $3, their good enough to share with your friends, and some you keep in your own humidor . I walked in here to get my father some cigars for Christmas. He enjoys smoking cigars in the back yard at my parent's house. The owner of the business was extremely helpful, right away he asked what my price budget was and suggested a variety pack of 3 different cigars. I know hardly anything about cigars and appreciated the help. Since I bought this gift in advance the owner also told me how to keep them fresh, and advised me on the proper place to store them, he also suggested a tiny sealed bag that was a portable humidor, or something like a portable humidor to help keep the cigars fresh and stored until my dad opened them and used them. When I first walked I was greeted by the owner from behind the counter. I walked towards the back of the store where the humidor was located and had some small talk with the owner. They had a great selection of cigars and the owner was quite helpful in making a few recommendations. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to cigars so it was nice to be pointed in the right direction. The prices were definitely fair. My friend enjoyed the whole range of cigars that I got him. A couple were ones he had before, and enjoyed already. This place has been around forever for a reason. They have a large walk in humidor with all your favorite cigars. The same guy is always running the place (I assume he is the owner). He is very knowledgeable and helpful. The cigars are priced as expected, but any accessories are usually a good value. Just last week I bought a fantastic torch lighter for $15 works way better than this $40 torch lighter I had. I suggest parking in the back, parkign on Deer Park Road is a pain. read more

Village Tabacconist Is a great little shop right in babylon. I have been there several times and continue to go there. So I was reading some of these poor reviews and i have to say THEY ARE COMPLETELY FALSE . As for dry old crappy cigars (if thats what you want) then head over to the one on sunrise hwy in Lindenhurst . Oh and some rudeness and mold dust. Don't forget the little holes in the cigars "whatever that is" List goes on. I suggest you go there first then right after check out Village tobacconist. I live five minutes from the place. One of the better selections of premium smokes in the area. Owner is very friendly. Cigars are at times a bit dry but I've had similar problems elsewhere. A few leather chairs and a tv in the front if you want to have a smoke an chat. Enjoy! read more

I don't smoke cigars, but I've heard it's a good cigar shop. But to call themselves a tobacconist is like me calling myself a surgeon because I have a box of band aids. As a pipe smoker however, my eyes lit up at the sight of the sign "Village Tobacconist" the first time I saw it. I thought what wonderful things I would find there! But short of a few bags of captain black (which I could find at any convenience store), nothing. "Tobacconist"? Absolutely not. High priced cigar shop? Maybe. read more
