I was worried about barking dogs, but they had me call when I got there and let me wait in my car until a room was open. Everyone there is super nice. I loved our veterinarian. She took all the time we needed for a whole list of questions that I had. She took a lot of worry about what I have been stressed over for a week. Dr Bremen's is amazing! I have two rescue piggies I adopted…read morefrom a family who could no longer take care of them. These girls are the sweetest piggies, and I would do anything and everything for them to ensure they have the best care. Recently, one of my girls developed a large abscess under her chin. I called my usual vet clinic only to be informed they do not have a vet to treat "exotic" animals. They're an amazing clinic but I was shocked to hear that a vet office did not treat any species besides cats and dogs. I was panicking because I knew my primary vet was very understanding of my recent financial struggles and no other vet would trust me like they did. Without going into personal detail on this review, I reached out to a few small animal rescues for help. Only one got back to me. I was not asking for any free services, just some advice/guidance/resources for help. I had no idea how few vets work with small animals. The rescue gave me information and i remembered that with my childhood guinea pigs, we used to take them to Best Care for vet appts. I took a shot in the dark and called them. They got me in for an appt the next morning. I was very honest about my financial difficulties, but also that I was also willing to do whatever I needed to in her best interest. Not to be blunt, but I was fully expecting to hear that due to her age/breed that she was hopeless. I was honest with the doc and staff. I told them I truly wanted what was best. I don't want her to suffer so I don't have to. Dr. Bremen was very understanding and gave options that were best for my piggie. I was given facts and her true opinion that these treatments are worth it for my piggies best interest. Ironically, it turns out she was even the vet that answered the questions for the people at the rescue that I had contacted prior! How cool is that?! We are continuing treatment for my piggie, and she has continued to be honest but also willing to give my sweet girl the chance she deserves to fight! Again, I do not expect any free services or discounts, however they have been so mindful of making sure to handle all treatments graciously and reasonably. I cannot thank Best Care enough. As soon as I am back on my feet, I look forward to donating back to them for patients in similar situations as me. Please keep up the amazing work you all do, and I hope you never go unappreciated!!!

Dr. Matt was very helpful, you could really tell he cares about animals. He told me to give him a call on Monday with an update on my puppy's health and he's really the only reason I gave any stars at all. He did give me troubling news that since my pup's testicles had not dropped yet, it could be a sign of cancer. This obviously worried me and stuck in my mind. After all was said and done, my puppy eventually got better and I called the clinic with a positive update. Still concerned about cancer, I decided to call the clinic once more a few weeks later to ask about how likely that outcome would be since the testicles still had not dropped (I'm a big worrier). I'm not sure who I talked to but she treated me like an idiot. When I asked about the likeliness of cancer, she seemed almost irritated with me and asked who it was that told me that, I said it was the vet. She put me on hold then got back on the line and told me that I MUST have misunderstood what was said and that Dr. Matt was just saying that to try and convince me to neuter him. It surprised me that a professional would just say something so serious to try and persuade a pet owner to neuter. I kept reiterating what she had said to see if she was really going to throw the vet under the bus or try and reexplain what she said. After making me feel stupid for "misunderstanding" the vet, she also tried to tell me I had my OWN dog's age wrong. Dr. Matt said that if my pup's testicles don't drop after 6 months, I should for sure get him back in or go to our regular vet. I mentioned this to her and and how he was getting closer to that 5-6 mo. mark. The breeder was a family member so there is no way I incorrect about his birthday/ age. She double checked the birth date and she back tracked and told me that I "might" be right... He was 17 weeks when I brought him in on the 6th of April ( he was nearly 4 mo. old) and I called them on the 16th of April (getting closer to 5 mo.) Overall, my experience was pretty good, but sadly that one phone call made all the difference. If I would have been shown more respect and understanding, I would have rated them much higher. Maybe it was an off day for that person or maybe she thought she could treat me like an idiot and it wouldn't make a difference.
