Created soap shape and pottery painting

Laid back place there was no music inside i would suggest bringing some earphones, employees are nice and professional. My wife and i each made our own soap, candles, and painted some pottery. It was time consuming and relaxing. Come check this place out if your tired of sporty stuff and just want to relax

    Excellent, fun, happy place.

Fun, fun, fun on a Saturday afternoon.!! Great location, nice folks (Sarah is lots of fun and great with kids and adults). Highly recommend as a group. Great little establishment next door to stop in and wait for your candle to cure. Can't say enough good things!

No hot wax in the creation!

She had a very bubbly vibe, and she made the place feel so homey and inviting! The candle making process itself was very enjoyable and relaxing, and the value for a nice, warm candle and special experience to make it was worth every penny. Will 100% be coming back with friends and family!

Chris was so warm from the get go and welcomed us to her place like family. She has an area set up in the back of the shop specifically for the classes. She offered us a variety of beverages for the class including tea, seltzer, water, etc. We got to wear cute aprons with the business name on it to protect our clothes which was a nice touch! After everyone arrived for the class (5 people total), we got to work. Chris walked us through the whole process. She is so cute and fun and it really made the class fantastic. There was a large variety of vessels to choose from and more scents than one could even think of. We got to select our vessel and take our time smelling all the scents to select the perfect combo for our candle. She had a wide array of decor to add to the tops of the candles from stones to flowers, and dried fruit. This was such a cool experience and we made such beautiful candles! I will definitely be returning to Chris' shop. She has a beautiful selection of candles, body scrubs, magnesium mists, and even laundry additives. She also sells refills for the candles too so you'll never run out of wax. I specifically enjoyed her Lake Tahoe collection which had scents of sand harbor, Truckee, secret cove, and more. Really lovely touch! Next time you're in Truckee, definitely check this shop out!

There are a few options to do such as making a candle, garden, and painting. They also have a to-go slime kit.  We were leaving Tahoe that day so we wanted to make something that we could bring home the same day. The kids each made a garden and a candle. For the garden, we chose a pot which varies in price. We then got to choose a real or fake plant. To plant, small rocks went in first for drainage and then we filled it with dirt. Now comes the fun part to decorate with the add ons. There were different types and color rocks, moss, and tiny figurines. My kiddo loved getting his creativity on with all the options.  For the candle, we chose a container which varies in price also. We then got to choose the colored wax to break it apart. It was actually easier to break it with the hands then cut it up. Once we were done with that part, we got to choose a scent, then a wick was added, and clear gloss was poured over to seal it.  It was a cute and fun experience. The best part is that all supplies are provided, and no cleaning is needed.

Since I was in town for the weekend, I decided to let it set for several and come back later to pick up. Not for first time at Maddy's. Love the way their candles burn. The location is in a beautiful storefront with lots of historical charm and character, conveniently on the main street (which hopefully will bring in lots of foot traffic to this sweet spot). Not only do they help you make candles, but you can also buy pre-made candles (if you don't have the time to sit a spell and make your own) and other cute decor, unique art, or antiques. Mary was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole process: from selecting our vessels to determining which scent(s) to use or mix and finally constructing the final product. One of the main perks of making a candle at Maddy's Place is that you can come back with your vessel and refill it The other important ingredient to a girls night - wine, of course! - was also readily available and a great selection for their limited space. For the price of the candle (very reasonable compared to most custom/homemade candles), it was an enjoyable evening that was topped off with going out on the town for dinner and a few beverages while our candles cooled...what a perfect excuse to extend our girls night! I look forward to coming back with my kids to try one of the classes and/or candle dipping.
