Our order was incorrect, and when we politely asked for it to be fixed, the response was surprisingly rude and dismissive. They made iced drinks hot. They forgot drinks completely And then none of the lattes were drinkable - worse latte I ever had. We spent over $150 on drinks that ultimately went untouched. Mistakes happen, and this could have been a much different experience if there had been even a small amount of acknowledgment or apology. Unfortunately, the poor service made an already frustrating situation much worse. Edit: they're excuse is always training, they don't take accountability. and they copy and paste ChatGPT responses to respond to reviews. Overall this has been a great place. I've been coming here for years. The owner works the coffee bar and can be a bit rude when it gets busy. I hate to say it, but I'd rather go to Starbucks at this point than give them my business. She shouldn't be In front of customers. She would do better handling the food rather then be rude and u profession to her customers. The rest of the staff is extremely polite and professional. She could probably learn a few things from them as she is in the customer service business. This seems to be a trend as a review just below mine mentions how rude a customer was treated. Today was cruising the Lake area and decided to stop in and chill for a bit at the lake. Love it because it's never very packed and it's great little gem with plenty of seating on patio and you can take down to the beach at picnic tables as well. First time trying the food and Aiden was the young man who helped me and was great service. Kudos to the girl too (didn't get name) who made the burrito because it was Delish. I had the Bacon Jam Breakfast Burrito.I love that the burrito was grilled and had like an herb encrusted grilled on that was so good . Size was perfect, Comes with a side salsa that was delish too. Just chilled on the patio and enjoyed the Lake. Highly recommend the spot and Beach too. Super sweet service from the two dudes who helped us! (I didn't get their names I'm sorrryyy.) I got an iced rose latte with their house made almond milk... DELICIOUS! 9/10 the rose taste was there and the coffee was just as strong. (It was pricey though). My partner got the chai milk tea. If you like yours creamier, this is the drink for you! We placed a large order and left what we felt was a generous tip of $20, so we were disappointed by our experience. Several drinks were made incorrectly, and when we politely brought the issue to the staff's attention, the response was immediately dismissive and unfriendly. They also would condescendingly be like "did you really order that?" Like we didn't know what we had just ordered. The drinks also appeared heavily diluted and came with zero ice. In addition, one drink and one food item from our order were initially forgotten, and it took quite some time for the corrections to be made. They have *great patio seating* with picnic tables, benches and views of the lake. Inside, there's a cute retail selection, snacks, clothes, cold drinks, and rentals for paddle boards and canoes. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito and their bacon jam. The breakfast sandwich wasn't our favorite, get the burrito instead. Our iced coffees were solid. My SO, the pups, and I were stoked we found Waterman's Landing next to Patton Beach. This is a cute coffee cafe/shop that serves up your favorite caffeine beverages and brunch items. The shop also has services like kayak rental, and per the barista, they're adding a motorboat service in the summer of 2024. My SO and I asked at the window in the back of the shop if we could bring our hounds in. The barista (I didn't catch her name) was super friendly and let us bring the pups in. DRINKS * Latte - good notes of espresso deliciousness * White Mocha Latte - I ordered this with their homemade almond milk, the only alternative available to dairy creamer/milk. I added some peppermint syrup to make it a peppermint white mocha. I enjoyed it because it wasn't overly sweet. The almond milk was very smooth and tasted delicious. On a summertime Friday morning, my spouse and I met up with old friends we hadn't seen since before the pandemic. They had their puppy and child in tow, so we needed to find a place where Fido was welcome (spoiler alert: Gar Woods is not it) and that could provide the little one the muffin she wanted. Thanks to Yelp, we stumbled upon Waterman's. What a great place! When we arrived, there was a small line of folks at a wooden table outside. Turns out, they were not there for breakfast, but had made water-sports reservations. For food orders, patrons must go inside to the counter that's on one side of a dark gift store. The menu is posted on the side of a soda fridge and there are also pastries and canned booze (beers and wines!) in a glass display case. Hubby ordered the keto coffee (with butter?) and a breakfast salad (I never knew such a thing existed) complete with sliced sausage, a fried egg, and Sriracha aioli. I had a large chai latte and the breakfast burrito with egg and bacon jam, which came pressed like a panini along with a side of chunky salsa. Our friends seemed happy with their pastries, green juice, and acai bowl, and Fido was excited to sniff other dogs. We found a shareable, large wooden table with an umbrella shade and high-top aluminum chairs. Overall, a pretty good, convenient spot for a morning bite! I should mention that 1) parking can be tough (we got lucky finding spots in the lot), 2) customer service was a bit unfriendly (is it too much to ask teenage boys to understand hospitality?), and 3) there's not really a good way to stow a purse at the high-top table--maybe some hooks would help? read more

This place is so cute. I wish I came here earlier! They have fresh organic coffee, healthy food/snacks and water rental equipment. What more could you ask for! Don't forget about the lakefront view while you sip your coffee on an amazing beach. The espresso con panna (with whipped cream) is delish. They always use two shots for their espressos unless otherwise requested. There's plenty of seating, as well as a longer communal table outside with clear windblockers if you opt to work a bit there. All seating is outside in the summer- because what else could you ask for? They have nitro, but if they run out, order an iced americano. Just as good. We got their açaí bowl, different than the typical. More homemade granola, a smaller amount of açaí and fruit on top. Don't get me wrong, that granola is delicious, truly, but it is heavier than a standard açaí bowl with mostly açaí. I am a big pastry fan and hope to try their pastries soon. After visiting North Tahoe regional park for some sledding and realizing we were starving and completely unprepared...Yelp to the rescue. While it is definitely not paddle boarding weather, Yelp and Google maps confirmed this cafe/SUP and kanoe rental was open, so we went for it! The vibe of this cafe is so friendly and cozy (even in very snowy weather). The staff were so personable and laid back, and happily accepted my family of particular eaters. Our kids enjoyed the grilled cheese, quesadilla, and smoothies, while my husband found his sandwich tasty and I loved my paleo bowl (the fresh ingredients were a happy reset for me after eating comfort food the last few meals!). I also loved the golden latte that was recommended by the cashier/barista. Cruising around the north shore, you may feel the need for a cup o' joe in the morning, or a beer in the afternoon. Chance may be this comes hand-in-hand with wanting to hit the water on a fine day, or just to spend a few minutes gazing out over the lake while you enjoy a snack. Well, then you're in luck if you happen to stop in at Waterman's Landing. This sort of joint is right up my alley, being a small, kind of quirky hole-in-the-wall. They are right on the main drag in Carnelian Bay, next to the marina and adjacent to a couple small beaches. This is a full café, offering all your usual go-to coffee and espresso drinks, along with teas, smoothies, soft drinks, wine and a selection of beers from regional breweries. The food menu includes all sorts of sandwiches, snacks, and pastries. Further, bags of coffee beans and loose-leaf teas are available for purchase, along with all sorts of cool Tahoe-themed swag and souvenirs. Prices for drinks, food, and even most of the souvenirs are pretty reasonable for being up at the lake. The quality of the coffee is quite good, and the service has always been very friendly and prompt. What really makes this spot interesting, however, is the flipside of their business. Located right on the beach, they are in a great position to take advantage of folks wanting to hit the water. To that end, they are a center for renting paddleboards and gear, as well as hosting classes and workshops during the summer. With beach access, and a gorgeous little back patio, it is no wonder why this place is such a popular destination and hangout in the warmer months. The one big downside I found here has to do with the parking situation. Naturally, given their position and popularity, you can expect some crowds during the summer months. And their parking lot is small, narrow, and difficult to turn around in if there are, as has happened to me several times, lines of other vehicles trying to enter or exit. Combined, these factors can make parking a bit of a nightmare, so I would advise any visitor to park along the side of the road and walk in, being very mindful of traffic, of course. But beyond this, I have to say this spot is a true little gem. All in all, I think Waterman's Landing is a really unique and enjoyable stop if you are traveling along the north shore. I'll certainly be looking forward to the next time I'm able to stop in. read more

I ordered my food and drink which I read clearly off a list on my phone. They called my name for the drink and I went to grab it, it was made hot instead of iced like I requested. I asked for it to be iced like a requested, and the lady (who looked to be a manager) snapped at me and told me that was not what I asked for. We had delicious delicious breakfast burritos here on a frosty winter morning, which we enjoyed sitting out on the deck facing the beautiful Lake Tahoe view. The burrito was not large but had the perfect balance of potato, bacon, egg and cheese. It's also lightly grilled on the outside which gave each bite a nice crunch. It's not quite a sit down restaurant but more of a grab and go given this establishment is also a rental shop of kayaks and paddle boards. Wow! Let me just say that this place deserves to be 5 stars on yelp!.. and if it is when you see this, perfect!! The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable, but a little short staffed at times. It would be great if they had one more person float back and forth from the bar and rental area to help when the other two are busy... but hey, I could also be told to chill out and be patient. :P My wife and I visited Watermans to rent paddle boards. The pricing was really fair and they gave us basic instructions to get underway. Not a lesson, but you can get that here too if you like. Needless to say, we had so much fun just taking right off from the beach! Since Watermans is on a Pebble beach, leaving with the boards wasn't too bad, but the return to land part kinda sucked. That's the outdoors for ya though. Maybe wear water shoes? We were bare foot, so that probably had something to do with it. Another notable fact about the rentals, is that the paddle boards and oars were in amazing condition. No beat up junk rentals here. Your stuff! : I thought it was super great that they had hanging cubbies for your items by tent where the staff sits on the beach. We felt really comfortable leaving our phones and wallets with them. (No lockers) The parking at Watermans is also better than most Tahoe areas. During busy times it still may be tough, but they have a decent amount of spots available. I was unfortunately full from a previous meal and did not get to try their food, but I did get a latte. I give the latte a 4 out 5, but a bonus for using fully compostable cups (most people aren't aware that even though big coffee places with mermaid logos say they use compostable cups, they are actually not). The outside deck was awesome. They have hanging lights, shades and tons of plants. It was the perfect place to enjoy our coffee after paddle boarding. To wrap up the last few things with a little less writing... Alcohol is allowed inside and on inner most deck area -- They have two gender neutral bathrooms that were way cleaner then most public places in Tahoe and have some great merchandise available. -- I wish they were open in the evening though. read more
