First time I ever ordered food from here, GrubHub picked it up for me. I ordered the grilled pork chops with asparagus and salad no other sides and ask for the salad dressing on the side. My wife had the hot turkey with soup and a vegetable. The food got here on time, which was great, but there was no salad dressing and there wasn't a soup, we are staying in a hotel so it was a little tough to choke down the salad without dressing. The pork chops were very dry, and I understand that some things don't always travel well when you do takeout, but they were drier than I think they needed to be. Staff were very friendly. My party of 4 came in for a late breakfast and were seated quickly. Ended up getting some breakfast platters to share along with a yogurt parfait. It's been two months since I went to my last New Jersey diner. Truthfully, I've worried how many can withstand the pandemic, as the majority are small businesses.  Anyway, recently I had the opportunity to order takeout from the Villas Diner and Pizzeria.  I didn't know the Villas Diner and Pizzeria existed until a random search in the area yielded it. Villas Diner and Pizzeria Atmosphere: Right now, nowhere in New Jersey is allowing you to eat in. The Villas Diner and Pizzeria had picnic tables outside you could sit at.  Plus, they offered curbside takeout and delivery.  When picking up the curbside, everything was handled safely.  The employees at the Villas Diner and Pizzeria were wearing masks, the inside appeared clean, and the picnic tables were also clean. It was a beautiful, but slightly windy day.  Luckily none of the food blew away. Villas Diner and Pizzeria Food: How many diners are also pizzerias? Not many. In fact, I cannot recall another New Jersey diner that doubles as a pizzeria. So naturally, even though the Villas Diner menu has everything from salads, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, pizza was a must. I decided to order the "white pizza," which had oil and garlic mozzarella cheese. Since New Jersey is known as the pizza state, I wasn't sure what to expect with a diner pizza. I will say, the Villas Diner and Pizzeria pizza was one of the best pizzas I've had in the state.  It was honestly surprising.  It was perfectly cooked with plenty of dough in the crust. Villas Diner and Pizzeria Service: The woman who took my order over the phone was friendly and the food was ready when I arrived. In all, it was great service and I have no complaints. Villas Diner and Pizzeria Overall Thoughts: I was happy with the Villas Diner and Pizzeria.  While I'm not able to go to many new diners right now, I'm happy I'm able to support a local diner. We stopped here on Saturday because we were starving and the parking lot looked full. We waited for them to clear off s booth to be seated. My grandmother and I ended up ordering a cheese steak and chicken cheesesteak. The sandwiches were too dry for our taste; the bread was almost dry/stake in the middle and the sandwich itself lacked the grease and juiciness you'd expect any decent cheese steak to have. My chicken cheese steak lacked the cheese (very minimal cheese slices on there and the one end the cheese wasn't even melted all the way!) and I had the same issue with the roll as well. The brew fries were good and we got a decent portion of them with our sandwiches although they were an additional up charge. Our server was nice and very attentive. No complaints with service. I came here for breakfast with my family (4 people all together) yesterday. We were seated right away and 2 different families came in after us and ordered after we did. The reason for the 2 stars here is for the extremely long amount of time our food took to get to the table. The 2 tables that were seated after we got there all got their order before we did. Found this local gem . Good for breakfast , lunch or dinner . My family has had many meals from them . Just goes to show how good service & food matters . Has 2 spacious rooms , pleasant waitresses . Food is so good . It's not easy to make perfect steak to order but even with that , I will order another steak from them . The steak , at least mine , comes seasoned which I don't mind . Went on a Sunday morning and got seated right away. That was the last good thing. My husband ordered pancakes and the waitress brought overeasy eggs. I had scrambled eggs that were so tough you could barely cut them and you couldn't eat the toast it was so hard. The prices charged did not agree to what was posted on the menu and then it was higher if you used a credit card. No sign saying that was their policy...just a note on the receipt. My husband and I both got sick to our stomachs by lunch time. Dont think it was a coincidence. Please avoid this place. read more

Called with coupon and final price was $7.00 higher. We did NOT order any extras, just exactly what was on the coupon. Jersey tax is higher, but $7.00? My wife tried to question when picking up, but "a voice" from the kitchen said "the price is what it is" with no explanation. My wife paid the higher price (I would have told them to keep their food), but we will never order from there again. We were greeted with a nasty take a seat. Not hi, welcome or anything like that. We choose a table since there were plenty to choose from. Ordered. Chicken pot pie comes out rancid. Very sour as it it's been sitting there for weeks. Told the waitress. I refused anything else. She goes on how they were just recently inspected by the health department and passed and yadda yadda. Who gives a shit. Doesnt explain why the chicken potpie was absolutely rancid. Then says they hope to see us back. I think not! Never see anyone there and cant figure out how they stay in business. Breakfast like to hit local places . Very local for me in Villas. Ordered the creamed chipped beef with home fries. Lots of beef, not salty. Made here not frozen . Huge helping gave some to my sister to take home with her. I would get it again no problem. The home fries choice of with or without onions.
