This local spot is such a hidden gem to tourists. We stumbled upon it years ago in the summertime when visiting the South Jersey Shore while on our way to Cape May Brewery. Fabulous experience for takeout last month and now today. In fact its always good. The hoagies are packed with meat, the rolls were great and the condiments we asked for on the side were packaged well. Today the cheesesteak was premium and cooked the "Philly way". One time I remarked we were staying in a hotel so they included cups and paper plates with our order. Ordered a grilled chicken club and buffalo chicken tender wrap. We walked in to order, waited about 40min for takeout. There was only one older couple sitting and having lunch. I can't figure out what all these kids working there were actually doing. There was a whole lot of nothing happening. We were asked several times 'what did you order?' My husband said he could see the cook in the back eating and we still didn't have our order. If I hadn't paid up front I think we would have walked out. When we finally got home and opened our food it was a disappointment. The wrap at $11.00 had very tiny pieces of lettuce barely any. The chicken sandwich at $11.25 was really small and had very little chicken on it. My husband was joking the cook ate the rest of our chicken. We won't return. read more

We've eaten here before and always enjoyed the food. The last few visits we ordered sandwiches to go, which we also did today. I ordered a BLT without mayo for my wife and emphasized that there shouldn't be any mayo. You can probably guess what we found when we opened the sandwich after we had settled in for our lunch a few miles away. Lots of mayo on the BLT. My wife tried her best to wipe it off but whoever prepared the BLT really went to town with the mayo. I'd also requested crispy bacon, which this was not. She tossed the sandwich. No longer reasonably priced place to eat... Dissapointed... outrageous price increases. I get it cost of every day items have increased, but seriously charging $2 extra per hoagie for pickles and peppers is outrageous! Do you put an entire pepper and pickle on there? Came here for dinner after checking into a local campground. We had the option to order for takeout or dine in with no server, most likely related to understaffing. We elected to dine it. We ordered way too much food. The pizzas are huge and pretty good. We ordered an Hawaiian, veggie and pepperoni. All were good. Also ordered a side of fried mushrooms....not so good. There were deep fried slices and not a mushroom leaving them very bready and flavorless. The staff was very friendly and busting it keeping up with all of the orders. Pizza here used to be the best in the area. Not any longer. Paid too much for toppings, wasn't cut well, and very soggy. Even with two hands, it was difficult to eat. Can't speak for anything else here, as I haven't tried them lately. Sadly, I don't think we'll be back. read more

Ordered takeout during the week and was told it would be 20 minutes. It was closer to 30, but that didn't bother us. Girls at the front were friendly. Business is taking precautions in having dividers up, hand sanitizer available, masks required, etc. We got: 1 cheese pizza, 1 pepperoni, 1 chicken cheesesteak, 1 order of corn fritters, 20 wings, and a 99¢ Arizona iced tea... and it was $69 and some change. I was pretty blown away by the cost. We live in the Wildwoods and I'm used to paying inflated tourist prices, but even this was high for us for some pizza, sides, and a sandwich. The food was okay. Pizza and wings were the highlight. Corn fritters were very small. "Chicken Cheesesteak Special" was $9-10 for some little pieces of broccoli added in. Not worth it. read more

Ordered a salad to go. Sounded delicious on the menu. Come home to find that the chicken, still hot, was put on top of the salad right from the grill then the container was closed. The lettuce was warm and wilted, cheese melted, the other ingredients mushy. Completely inedible. $15 right in the trash. read more

Pizza and food OK. Not bad. But we know where to get higher quality pizza for the same price. We ordered a pizza for delivery at a local brewery, and the pizza came uncut. So someone made a mistake, that is making dinner really ackward. Ever get a pizza not cut at all? We had to rip it apart with our bear hands- messy and inconvenient. We are on a family vacation, so we do not have pizza cutting implements on us. We are all.wondering WTF!?! ...but again we are in Jersey, lousy service and everything else is the norm. 1st & last time- even if we lived here- mostly because it's just OK, but not cheap and much better delivery is available for the same price. Delivery guy was super friendly, and likeable. FYI I worked in the pizza industry and never ever had lettuce on a regular pizza. We used to live right down the road from Erma Deli, we would order from there at least once a week. We are also a USCG family. Today Erma Deli was offering a free meal to active duty members. Pizza is one step below carnival pizza and isn't good at all. However- the burger I had was very good! It came with a huge order of fries- that were hot and salty and stayed crispy because they served them right in a paper bag. My husband also said the calzone was great! Terrible service. Everytime we order they mess something up or forget part of the order. Ordered a wrap and they gave me the complete wrong wrap and when I called was telling me they didn't make it wrong they made what was on the slip. I explained it's still the wrong order. It's just your person taking the orders fault not the cooks fault but either way the restaurants fault. I went back to pick up my correct order and it was now just before closing. How long does it take to make a salad?! That's what I'm sitting here wondering after I ordered two Greek salads exactly one hour ago for delivery. After forty minutes I called to make sure my order was sent out the girl said yes it should be there any minute. Another 10 minutes have gone by. Jesus Christ by now I could've been to acme and back, made my salad and eaten already. This is not the only time I've had this happen to me. Dropped by for a quick Saturday night dinner since this place is just down the street from our house. Very cute interior and friendly service. Hubby had the French onion soup which was very tasty. He also ordered the Erma's cheese steak special. Nice sized portion. This is the tastiest cheese steak sandwich we had thus far on the East coast. I ordered the Erma's Italian grinder. The sandwich was crispy and warm, just lacking a little bit of tang. Make sure you request for some pickles or hot banana peppers for that added zip. Curly fries were yummy.
