Food was mid at best. Will not go back. This location never seems to get a good eatery as a tenant.

Il Capuccino is a beautiful restaurant located in Sag Harbor on a quaint street that literally…read morebrings you back in time. Before entering, you see a couple of tables for outdoor dining which is a nice touch on a summers evening. As you enter, you get this old world tavern feel with wood planks on the ceiling, a beautiful beast where you can sit for a drink and food if you choose and then multiple rooms with tables. We sat at a table in the bar. For starters, they bring you a basket full of these most sliding garlic knots!!!! I could do some damage with that for sure! Kerry out waitress have is some great suggestions before ordering. I ordered the baked stuffed clams which were delicious and overstuffed. I could have used a little more juice on top of the clams. I was surprised that they were served in tinfoil clam shells.... But that didn't stop me from enjoying them. We also ordered the spinach salad which was a nice place of fresh greens with a warm bacon dressing and mushrooms. For dinner, I ordered the seafood pasta (Frutti di Mar) which was delicious however in being honest, it could've used more pasta. Basically I got 4 fork twirls . A little more pasta would've been very impressive. The calamari, shrimps mussels and clams were delicious as well. We also ordered the linguine carbonara which was creamy and delicious with that nice smoke flavor from the pancetta. My wife enjoyed the fettuccini Alfredo. All in all, everything was delicious. Kerry took great care of us and it was an enjoyable evening. I'll be back!!!!

We reserved for 10 so why wasn't it prepared. When we sat the table was not set. No napkins cutlery glasses. Took a long time for the table to be set. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Still had no cutlery or even water served. Let me be clear. The food was fine.apps dinner etc. the service was sub standard with the exception of one young man who hustled and did his best to help us. Dinner was served. All received plates except one. He had ordered salmon. Then they brought him swordfish. We all heard him order salmon the waitress had written swordfish. When it arrived he said it wasnt what he ordered. The waitress deflected and never apologized. Last year with the same group of family we had a similar service experience. I let it go as an anomaly. Unfortunately I have to bring it up as a concern.

The young man waiting on is explained that because it is a bed and breakfast they had restrictions on dining hours ok I understand As the night progresses and me on a sour mood.. these folks were able to turn it around with kindness , thoughtful care and exceptional food The salad with buratta was so fresh , very simple but elegant In presentation The Tuna Tatare an absolute powerhouse of clean flavor without a fishy aroma. The bomb dish ( in a good way) was the linguine with lobster. Wow!!! Many places here on EH destroy your wallet just by using the title " lobster" this perfectly seasoned dish is a light butter cream sauce was not at all heavy the lobster plentiful and frankly enough for two ppl All in all my only complaint is that they are only open Wednesday through Saturday but hey.. if it's that good it worth planning around their schedule. Go!

Why have I been walking past Alpina everytime I'm in Greenport?…read more Was it the dark atmosphere? Did I think I was getting just another American-German influenced restaurant with only brats and potato pancakes? Did I expect polka? The experience was actually slow and refined, without the white tablecloths. Alpina has German, Swiss, and slightly Northern Italian influenced cuisine, along with a selection of alcohols I was completely unfamiliar with... which made the experience feel full of new things. The most memorable food was actually one of the simplest. The chef prepared incredibly creamy, caramelized onions with a slight sauerkraut tang that was amazeballs. I told our waiter that I'd write him a love letter over it, and here I am! The pappardelle had shredded duck, cheese, and big, fun, chewy noodles that were satisfying to slurp. It just needed a dash of pepper to elevate it. The meat and cheese board included a few things I'd never tried before, and it was so good I was searching for a meat shop in Manhattan so we could buy them again. Portion sizes aren't huge for the price, but it was worth it to us. Don't be afraid of the dark entrance, the ligonberry on the menu, and ask the bartender about the connection between the giant copper gnome and penguin shaker gone rouge.

There are way too many vacant stores and closed restaurants! That being said I finally made it to Cluckmans on a beautiful September day about 1PM. There's a beautiful park with picnic tables adjacent to the parking lot that overlooks the harbor. The restaurant was not busy as I walked right up to order. The place is clean and well organized with about 8 tables and a condiment counter with free ketchup, mayo, mustard, ranch and honey mustard. Since it's my first visit I ordered the Traditional Chicken Sandwich and Hand cut fries. Service was quick but the sandwich is way too big for the small bun, there was way too much Thousand Island dressing and it was spilling out all over the wrapper! I took the sandwich apart and wiped away as much of the dressing and ate the chicken and avocado separately! It was actually pretty good! The fries were a very generous sized sack but they obviously had been sitting for a while because they were not crisp, very soggy and oily! I would like to give them another try but I would definitely think about a larger bun and ease up on the dressing! I wish them good luck!
