This was the first time at Vina. When we arrived it was a very small restaurant with just a couple of tables. The atmosphere was old, dark and little dirty.. The menu was extensive but a little hard to navigate so we just settled on beef Pho. For the restaurant being fairly empty it took quite a while for the pho to arrive. We ordered smalls but they brought us larges and charged us for larges as well. Luckily I was hungry so I was able to eat a majority of it. The broth was light and the vegetables were fresh but once the food was dropped off no one ever came to check on us.

Garlic chicken wings (sloppy gross)

Pho was ok (3 star) Duck was flavorful but still ok (3.5 stars) Vermicelli Bowl (4 star) Overall, I'm a foodie from California and Vietnamese. This place is ok.

Vina has always been a staple and continues to be that! My favorite pho place (psst. I've tried many places in Spokane, and always return back here), that also has other amazing dishes like hot pot, fried rice and much more. Their food is amazing and the employees are wonderful and attentive! Dine in or to go, it's delicious either way!

Visited here quite a few times and always happy with the food. Pho is really good but I've had a plate from the hot bar as well that really good too for a quick to go meal. Definitely space inside so never have to worry about getting a table. Fast and friendly service.

Thanks to my friend. If it wasn't for her, I would never even knew about this place. The Vietnamese coffee was so tasty. Food came very quickly. The Pho was good as well. We will go back sometime.

We were in the mood for some asian food and Vina was close to our AirBnB, The family ordered the usual suspects, orange chicken, Mongolian beef rice and chow mien. All of that sounded a bit heavy to me, so I went with the pho. I was a little nervous about take out pho, but threw caution to the wind. It came as an "assemble it yourself" deal, which I thought was novel. It was fun to put my bowl together and it was pretty tasty. Not bad for something I was bit worried about. The fresh spring rolls were wonderful with a delicious peanut dipping sauce. A good choice for us tonight!

Strawberry banana smoothie tasted artificial. Spring rolls were ok, nothing special, but the peanut sauce tasted ok. I wouldn't revisit.

I decided to order the Pork Katsu curry with rice which came out to ~$20ish. The spice level was pretty mild, but the flavour was spot-on. It was cooked well, seasoned well, was not oversalted, and the balance of the dish was impeccable. The rice went great with the dish, as it should. Definitely not Coco's Curry, or anything you would expect to get in Japan, and no add-ons or anything special, so you cannot just add cutlets or potatoes like you normally would be able to at a Japanese Curry place. But this was obviously a ramen place so as long as the dish tastes good, there is nothing to complain about...which is exactly what I experienced. Service was very friendly, and ambiance was just what you would expect. I cannot comment on the ramen or any of the other dishes, but definitely endorse their Pork Katsu curry with rice if you are in the mood for a Japanese-style curry.

My husband and I ordered Spicy King Ramen and shared the kaarage chicken. The kaarage chicken came with a homemade Japanese mayo dipping sauce. The kaarage chicken was better than the ramen. The spicy king ramen was just that, spicy but no depth in flavor. There wasn't many toppings, green onions, ginger and eggs. I wish there was bamboo, bean sprouts, extra garlic, black garlic oil, veggies, etc. i wouldn't order the spicy king ramen again.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

I will say that it was kind of odd to me that they microwaved the roast beef inside what looked to be a plastic wrapper of some sort. Doesn't bother me but was just odd. However someone like my boyfriend would be bothered by that because of like microplastics or something. Anyways, then they put everything in a panini press and wrap it up. The sandwich was great, the bread was thick too so I'm glad I put the extra thousand island. I also ordered the loaded potato salad and the chipotle pasta salad. The chipotle pasta salad was flavorless and just honestly kind of weird. Wouldn't order again and I threw it away. The potato salad was very thick chunks of potatoes and very little salt or flavor, very different than what I had imagined from the description on their menu. It wasn't horrible though and I finished about half. Also would not order this again. Customer service and the Ruben are the reason for the 4 stars, if customer service wasn't good then I would've given 3 stars due to the sides not being good.

Tonight two people of our party had pho and one said it was the best by far, and the other felt that our usual haunt in Hawaii was more to her liking. So much so, it will be a decent snack later on tomorrow in the form of leftovers. The service is what I want to also comment on. The staff was very welcoming and the food came out fast. Please also note that their "spring roll" is what most people call a summer roll. Their deep fried spring roll is called an "egg roll" on their menu so make sure you know what you want and order accordingly. All in all, it was a great experience and we will come back again on our next visit.
