I have to say..... I think I just changed my favorite pho restaurant from Vien Dong to this place :C Parking lot in this location is pretty small so try to carpool if you are coming with a big group. Inside was just like any normal pho restaurant (not too big, not too small). I ordered regular beef pho with everything in it, and I never had pho that comes with meat with bone. Maybe because of this their soup tasted better. Also the soup was less saltier than many other pho restaurants which why I liked. Meats were tasty and everything was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered Bun bo hue and said it was really good. So I guess I know what I am going to try next time :D read more

I'm from Houston and I'm a Vietnamese. I had Pho, spring rolls and thai tea here. - Pho was just ok. They gave a small amount of vegetables and they did not look fresh at all. I was disappointed! I'm not impressed compared to other places we have in Houston. - Spring rolls were so good, super fresh! They made it with njce shrimps and pork belly inside. I love it! - Thai tea here was the weirdest Thai tea that I have ever had. They blended instead of putting ice like normal. And it was too sweet so consider if you want one. read more

-Accessibility: This restaurant was in an easily accessible location but with limited parking. When we showed up it was at about half capacity, and when we left it was nearly full. This forced some people to park along the curb in front of parking spots which forced some 'Austin Powers' turning to get out. -Service: Friendly service with a smile at all times. We were greeted on arrival and self-seated at a table for four. Our server showed up a minute later and provided menus and took drink orders promptly. Food arrived very fast and within 10 minutes of ordering. -Facility: Overall facility was well maintained and clean throughout. There was nice decor, awards lined the wall at the entrance and the ambiance felt appropriate and right for the type of restaurant. Bathrooms were tucked away in the back but was adequate as well. The men's bathroom had some tagging that showed pride in the business and the artist which I truly appreciated. -Food/drink: -Coconut smoothie/bubble tea with Tapioca balls. Tapioca balls were fresh and chewy. Big ice chunks were present due to the blender used and made for a not-so-fun crunchy surprise. Because it was made with so much ice, once the ice started melting it became very watered down. Once I finished the liquid, half the cup was full of blended ice. -Egg noodle soup was good with a nice amount of vegetables added. Also added a bit of spice to it for more of a kick. -Mongolian beef was mixed for me. Some chunks of beef were tender and flavorful and others were leathery and maybe not well marinated. Vegetables were fresh and crunchy and overshadowed the meat. -Pho broth was not as potent as other broths I've tasted. The beef was ok as well and all the extra fixings were decent. Overall the quality of food was average compared to the quality of others locations I've tried. It is still worth a try as the food was not terrible, just average to me. I am so confused how have I not written a review about this place. I have been here at least 30 times... Service can be a bit hit or miss but Pho is the best I have had in three states and over a dozen places. Other good items are vermicelli, and bean paste chicken. Fresh rolls are nice as well. Coming from India these are the eateries that I miss the most .. no fuss places (mostly family owned), with simple yet delicious stuff, easy on the pockets .. serving nothing but fresh food. Drawing an analogy, we have them in plenty back in India .. serving Indian food mostly .. called dhabas :) .. the seating, decor (even service to me) just doesn't matter, all what you long for is the food. And when you find it delicious, nothing comes to mind except the plans for your next potential visit .. he he :D Was around the area yesterday and just like that decided to have a bite here .. To be honest, as soon as I walked in got a bit alarmed with the pre prepared food on the counter, I mean this doesn't happen at an Asian place. The food is fresh out of the wok .. but when I saw the crowd (during lunch hours that too on a working day) eased up a bit, there is no way that they could go wrong and still have a full house. :) So, I had this Lunch combo one - rice with chicken and veggies + the egg flower soup @$6.25 :) The soup came in an instant, smallish bowl but on a cold and slippery day that it was yesterday .. a sprinkle of black pepper and it was needed. The chicken and rice combo was good too .. actually I had this chicken with veggies and inspite of the simplicity of the dish the range of veggies did impress me .. there were bamboo shoots, mushrooms, baby corn .. even water chesnut in there .. chicken was definitely fresh. All in all, the food was good and the occupied tables could be taken as an evidence. :D Call it my love for such places or anything but I would love to be here often and try all those different dishes specially the spicy soup bun bo hue. First time here and had the Tofu Pho with the veggie broth and wow, so much flavor and a well serving on the large bowl. Also ordered the lemon grass tofu with with rice, fried egg rolls, Thai tea bubble with tapioca and all had a very good serving and vey tasty. Very friendly service. read more

This is my family's spot for pho in Spokane. They've made it a tradition to make Vina the last stop as a group before the out-of-towners start their journey home. The family that owns this business is always kind and able to accommodate our large groups providing excellent, patient service. As far as the pho, you're not going to have as many options for combinations that you would have at other establishments, and I can't compare it to other places in town, but I would put it as average to above average of those that I have experienced. Although categorized as Vietnamese by Yelp, the majority of the menu is Chinese dishes with your typical chicken, shrimp, pork, and beef as choice of protein that's interchangeable in all dishes. The rest of the menu is mostly noodle dishes and noodle soups, including four options for pho. I also saw a hot pot option on the menu which I would give a try if two or more in our group were interested. My beef pho had a deeper flavored broth with plenty of tripe and meatballs, both of which I don't prefer, but they didn't detract from the soup at all. There's a take out counter when you first walk in and the dining room was spacious enough to fit our group of 21. Service is what put our experience over the top. We didn't get the blunt, impersonal service you would expect from your typical Asian restaurant, but we received an accommodating and pleasant demeanor from all of the employees. With about 10 of our group being under the age if 12, our server demonstrated excellent patience with modifications and requests for the children's orders. Not one thing was missed when the food came out. Prices worked out to under $10/person. There wasn't one complaint about the food or service, so you can expect another large family of Asians there the next time we gather in Spokane again. read more

So now living an area that has a very minimal Vietnamese restaurant's, I chose to order from this place. I already knew something wouldn't be great because they literally combine viet, Chinese and Thai food all from one place which usually is a tell all-- meaning it won't be super authentic lol. If you are white or unfamiliar with authentic Asian food then you'll might think it's fine and I don't mean that in that in an offensive way. However, the Vietnamese sandwiches were absolutely horrible (banh mi) I ordered the viet ham "cha lua" WITH NOOOOOO PATE. I ordered 3! We received them and they were half of the size in comparison to usual banh mI sandwiches... that would be whatever if it was edible, however, I asked for no PATE- yet they all have it on it. that easily made it uneditble for us regardless of all other issues. On top of that, they didn't even use Vietnamese ham!!! (the whole reason we spent as much $$ as we did for them!)... it was literally American ham just fried-- absolutely gross imo. We we're and are highly disappointed as we just ordered this a few hours ago... on top of that, we also order their "Chinese" chow fun... requested no onion and extra veggies instead of meats. I assumed the shrimp seafood would be grilled (that's typical) but instead it was fried and soggy once again just gross and most of all Flavorless... (this is what happens when one Asian place offers like 4 different ethnicities of food... I should have known better! I spent $75 for 3 (crap) sandwhiches, 1 noodle dish, and two egg rolls and it was all a disappointment ( MADE INCORRECTLY)... I definitely would recommend PHO VAN over this place 100% prices are the same but they are at least better and a bit more authentic. My boyfriend wanted really good Asian soup with seafood so ordered some from here. We had been disappointed the week before with soup from another place, so we're hoping that this was good. He really liked the soup, however, we were just considering ordering it again for him tonight, but he asked me to call and make sure there was no pork in it because he said there was some questionable stuff on the bottom last time. He is a pescetarian, so only eats seafood. I just called, and the lady said it is made of pork broth! Are you kidding me?! Nothing on the menu said anything about pork being in the soup. That is so misleading and terrible, and shows that they really don't care to let people know what's in their food. We will never be going back! read more

At first, I was very skeptical to see the sign 'best pho.' But after eating there, I can agree they it's the best in spokane. But let me explain exactly what I got... Pho tai with the meat rare on the side with steamed bean sprouts. Why get it this way? So you add meat gradually throughout the meal to the soup (don't add too late when broth is tepid) so that it can be cooked to medium rare. Why the steamed bean sprouts? To not cool down the broth. Add some lime juice to meat before placing meat into broth. The beef tai is the leanest and most tender. Be as always warned about eating rare-ish type meat. But it just may be worth it. :) At a pho place, by the way, I usually never order anything other than pho. Also I've been to the best pho places in Cali and this place is on par. Enjoy! read more

This is our go to place for veggie with tofu pho. Service is great. Food is always made just as we like it and usually short wait times. For appetizers the fried potstickers are two thumbs up. Spring roll is pretty good, but what's happened is that we learned to make them at home and the ones in restaurants just simply don't compare to ours. But. We still love to order 'em. Our party of 3 had Mongolian Beef and Almond Chicken. It was different than anything I had before. The chicken was fried and covered in gravy. The egg rolls were the best I've had in years! So out of all the pho restaurants in Spokane that has the sign "best pho in town", this by far is the real best pho IN TOWN. I am from the Bay Area in CA, which have pho restaurants pretty much everywhere, and I know what good pho tastes like. My husband and I tried the spring rolls and I'm glad it wasn't dry (as in left out for who knows how long). It comes with a peanut sauce. Thumbs up. I got the pho with everything besides the flank (you get to choose) and the broth tastes great. It wasn't bland and it's actual pho beef broth. Had decent amount of veggies to put in and meat. Overall satisfied with my lunch! The waitress was very nice, I'm guessing this is a family owned restaurant. Anyways they're doing a great job with the food :). I asked if they had chicken broth, and unfortunately all of their pho (including the seafood meat pho) comes in a beef-based broth. Well boo-hoo for me. My mom LOVES the pho here and is still a red-meat eater, so she ordered her seafood pho in cattle broth. I ordered the Seafood Chow Fun and Shrimp Spring Rolls. Shrimp was pretty raunchy in quality, to the point where you can taste the shrimp smell. You ever had that? No other word to describe but RAUNCHY. The spring rolls were wrapped so loosely it fell apart in my hands... I guess I'm kind of a tough critic on spring rolls, because from my understanding they are simple to make, and almost every Vietnamese or Thai restaurant serves them. My mom loves her Seafood Pho (she's been coming here for years) so that was a good thing. My Seafood Chow Fun on the other hand..... meh. (see photos). It wasn't worth the $9 or $10 I paid for it.. I was pretty disappointed. We ordered cashew chicken, sesame beef, pork fried rice, and garlic chicken wings. The cashew chicken was not like any other that I have ordered. Most of the time the cashew chicken comes with a brown sauce, this was more a vegetable stir fry with chicken and the cashews thrown on top. Not the typical brown sauce. This was our first time visiting here. We ordered a sampler appetizer, Spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee and a Bubble tea smoothie to start. Appetizer came with fried prawns, bbq pork, crab wontons and egg rolls. All of which were delicious! The spring rolls were good and had a great peanut dipping sauce. The Vietnamese coffee was one of the best I have had from any restaurant. We enjoyed the Bubble Tea smoothie but we would not get it with the tapioca balls next time as they were quite chewy and flavorless. My wife ordered beef pho which she absolutely loved and she did not need to add any sauce as it was seasoned beautifully. Which is a first. My son ordered fried prawns with fried rice for his first Vietnamese dish and was damn near licking the plate clean. He even ate half of my fried rice. I had ordered a combo that had sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken and fried rice. I was disappointed as the orange chicken on my plate was cold and the orange sauce was as well and even had the consistency of jello. Fortunately my Sweet and Sour chicken was served hot and was good. The fried rice I did get was quite tasty. Also served with my dish was an amazing egg flower soup that is beyond what most places serve. Overall our visit here was great. I would love to try the pho next time and recommend the coffee highly as well as the sampler appetizer. read more

After a long drive Portland this place provided some rich broth, delicious noodles, and plenty of veggies to balance the fast food consumed on the drive. Had the bun bo hue because I wanted something spicy and rich. I wouldn't say the best I've ever had but it was really good and I'd be happy to have it again. Went here after a night of drinking .. lol pho was good and love the fact that they offer smaller size so I was able to actually finish my food. I didn't like sitting down staring at the bathroom entrance. Parking here is extremely tight and service is on the slower side. Pho is definitely worth a try. read more
