Stopped while on a road trip for pizza. Was hoping they had gluten free to my surprise the did and it was incredible. This was one of the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. I'm not sure if it was lightly basted in butter, but however they seasoned it, was awesome! I'm sad they are far from my hometown if you're thinking of stopping, don't hesitate. Sorry to say, in the last year Vinatelli's has plummeted. We were at the antique mall and stopped for lunch again. We were seated quickly, but sadly no one came to the table to take our order or even give us water. The dining room had a few other guests, and it seemed they were not waited on either. All of this is sad, and I wish them well. But restaurants have to at least make guests feel welcome. We left and nobody noticed. read more

The food is amazing! We found this little gem on our way back from the Marion splash house. Our server Emma was fantastic! We ordered the lasagna, a small pizza, spaghetti and a calzone. the dough and the croutons are made in house and are amazing the best Italian food that I have had in a long time! The calzones are by far my favorite. The portions are perfect size and the price for all of our food was $30. I would spend more at Applebee's for mediocre food. As our third visit here while traveling through since we are not from this area, we were once again not disappointed. We had the garlic bread, Italian sub and hot chicken wings. Service was friendly and we observed once again this little hidden gem right off the interstate next to a Dairy Queen, near a Motel 6 and a Heritage motel may not be getting the recognition for great food that it should. Sunday night in Markle. Not many choices. However, didn't need many choices. Vinatellis' calzones were extremely good and fresh. Best we've had in a long time. We stopped in while traveling because we were starving, in the middle of nowhere, and fast food did not sound appetizing. Man, did this place hit the spot! We ordered a pizza sub, and Italian deli sub, and the kids split the spaghetti. We also ordered some garlic knots. The garlic knots came out first. They were fantastic! They come with a garlic butter dipping sauce, and a half order gets you about a dozen. Not a bad deal for a couple bucks. They were all different sizes so you know they didn't just dump these things out of a pre packed frozen bag. The garlic was front and center, yet not overpowering. Soft, chewy, deliciousness. I could have been happy with just a big bowl of those. The kid's pasta was actually perfectly al-dente, and the sauce was perfect for them. Not too bold or sweet. It tasted like every real Italian home cooked pasta meal. It also came with two giant breadsticks which I did not get a chance to try. My wife adored the pizza sub. I had the Italian which had generous amounts of pepperoni, salami, etc, fresh tomatoes, and good quality lettuce. The meat and bun were perfectly toasted, and the amount of dressing was just right. The food did not fly out of the kitchen and now I see why: Great care was put into this sandwich!! Overall: great prices, great service, I'd definitely return the next time I'm making a boring trek up I-69! read more

The small salad I had was very good, croutons tasted homemade, ranch dressing didn't taste like 'hidden valley' which was refreshing. Hubby had Caeser salad which was good. We had the lasagna. Rich thick marinara sauce. Hubby had the 'Baked Deluxe Penne' same thick sauce. Had chunks of green pepper, mushrooms, onion, sliced pepperoni and sausage in it. We stopped here for a great lunch on Sunday afternoon. Nice, clean, very pleasant workers. We did the buffet and they kept hot and delicious pizza coming out and had a great selection of salads: lettuce salad, Cesar salad and a really yummy taco salad. They also had parmesan knots and cinnamon knots on the buffet. I would definitely go back again! Very nice. I gave it 5 stars. read more
