    Chicken Parm and Linguini Marinara.

Having tried Vincent's Clam Bar a handful of times, I wanted to give Steve's Piccola a try. So I ordered a Caesar Salad, Chicken Parm for one, and an order of Linguini w/Marinara. The Chicken Parm was very good - the meat, the sauce and the cheese. The Linguini was also very good although not cooked al dente. The Caesar Salad could have used a little more dressing but was also pretty good. The service was very attentive with water being refilled almost continuously and there was a nice fresh bread basket served as soon as we sat down. I would say that overall the meal was enjoyable and on par with Vincent's in terms of quality. However, the prices are higher ... and the portion sizes are smaller ... putting it a little lower on the value scale. The other thing is there is valet parking with a relatively small lot. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. But be prepared to spend a few more bucks.

Loved this place. Such a classic Italian family style vibe. Everything was so delicious. Service was excellent. Such a homey, cozy, vibe. We loved everything we ordered. The Papardelle Principessa (bolognese vodka sauce) is a must. Sorrentino Chicken was so simple delicious. We also loved the Seafood Marinara - but swapped the marinara for oreganata and it worked so well! White clam sauce was perfection as well. You can't go wrong!

Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Excellent experience! For food I had the red snapper francaise, the chicken parm, and penne Pasta with tomato sauce. The snapper was even better the next day upon reheating. The sauce was perfect as far as consistency and taste! The chicken parm seemed to be a baked cutlet which was great and IMO a much healthier way to eat it. The penne was standard. The espresso martini was delicious and they give you the option to have it with Baileys! 2 thumbs up, would certainly return to try other dishes

We came back with two other couples, some shared the family style large orders, but not my wife and me. She had plain broiled salmon and steamed broccoli (due to her diet), but enjoyed it. I loved the veal bolognese over ziti and didn't even leave a drop of sauce on my large plate! Everyone enjoyed their food, we were lucky enough to get Alexander back as our waiter, and the price was right.

The food and service were great! We cannot to return and enjoy another meal here. We requested the chicken parm to be made with vodka sauce and have no regrets. Portions are large and we had leftovers

My family and I enjoyed a great meal here on NYE. The family style portions are generous! The chopped salad is a must. Everything was fresh. The staff were super attentive. We'll be back!

For starters, the bread here is up there with the best there is anywhere. Warm and crispy crust and just delicious. We had the fried mozzarella as an appetizer and it was good - though not great - but the plating and service was phenomenal. I need to learn how to use two huge spoons as chopsticks to serve like our waiter did. I had a Caesar salad as my main in an attempt to be healthy, and both of my friends had the Pappardelle Principessa - a mix of bolognese and vodka sauce. The mains were really well done. The table next to us had some serious issues with incorrect pasta and lemon chicken orders, and we heard the ongoing complaints about it all night - so one star off for the bad service they received - but otherwise a great restaurant.

The baked clams were the Chef's kiss on the table! Waiters were attentive with old school charm. The pappardelle bolognese was top notch!

Are any of his dishes organic or grass fed beef? Hormone, antibiotic free? Didn't notice that on the menu so I'm guessing not..

Entering the restaurant, you get a feel of Italy with all the Italian artworks depicting scenes of Italy. The menu encompasses a broad range of delicacies including a great assortment of appetizers, numerous panini's, hero's, pizza, salads burgers, etc, but the stars of our dining experience were the food entrees. We began our dining experience munching on a scrumptious basket of garlic bread. I've found, over my many years of dining, that restaurants that serve a great bread basket always follow it up with great food, and this was Mauro. After reviewing a litany of appetizer items, we chose absolutely delicious artichokes oreganata. We followed the appetizer with an order of luscious eggplant parmigiana along with perfectly cooked al dente rigatoni. We also ordered gnocchi with a sublime pomodoro sauce. The sauce was not something typically seen, in as much it contained a nice quantity of onions. For dessert we had a debate between chocolate cake or a cannoli, keeping in mind that the restaurant is owned by a great bakery. Our waitress, Samantha (Sam) who was outstanding throughout, said it's a tossup. We finally agreed on the chocolate cake. When the dessert arrived, to our delight, there was an order of light and very tasty chocolate cake, and a creamy & crispy freshly filled cannoli, compliments of Samantha. In summary, we had an excellent meal coupled with outstanding service what more can you ask for in a restaurant? If possible, I recommend weekday dining. I was told it can busier on the weekend, and I would think noisy. Mangia!

We've always loved his cooking and have since followed him to Monroe's while still frequenting Tesoro's. We started our dinner with an Appetizer of Rice Balls followed by an entree of Salmon in Orange sauce for my partner, and Shrimp & Clam Fra Diavolo over Linguine for myself. As we started to order our choices they also informed us they had initiated a new Price Fixe menu in case we decided to change. We stuck with our original choices but decided after perusing the Price Fixe menu we have to come back very shortly as it offers a great value. What's different about Monroe's is that it's offered 7 days a week except holidays, versus other restaurants that tend to limit the days or hours you can order off a Price fixe menu. It s a good deal at $39.95 for 4-Courses starting with a variety of Appetizers, followed by a choice of two salads, multiple Entrée choices including Pastas, various Chicken dishes, Skirt Steak, Port Chop or Pork Medallions, and Seafood including Red Snapper, Salmon, or Sole. Finishing up with a choice of several desserts to choose from. A complimentary glass of Wine or Beer to also accompany your meal. IMO can't beat the value for 4 courses @ $39.95 and available 7 days a week except for Holidays.
