Maybe 3.5 Stars but not 4. The front of the place needs some serious work as well as the dining room. The AC works great but no matter where you are, something is blowing on you. The place needs TLC. Been there a few times and every time the food is top notch. Quality ingredients, prepared properly. Their Sole Francese is actually SOLE!!! Most places use some cheap, imported, frozen, Restaurant Depot, swai or tilapia. They use fresh pasta which I am not a fan of. Service is very good, you are never rushed. Happy to say that Casa di Fratelli offers a stellar dining experience with delicious food, gracious service and fair pricing. Cocktails were refreshing and potent. Shared a dozen baked clams to start, the tender bivalves topped with bread crumbs resting in a pool of lemony butter, just excellent. My veal marsala with chestnuts entree was so yum. The tender pounded meat was topped with a sauce that tickled my tongue with a symphony of flavors; tangy sundried tomatoes, sweet chestnuts and rich mushroom gravy melded into a divine elixir. Veggies, often a mushy afterthought at other establishments, were well sauteed and crisp. My partner's lobster ravioli was stuffed to the gills with sweet meat and topped with a rich creamy sauce. He polished it off quietly and quickly, always a good sign. Portions were ample, enough for leftovers devoured at lunch the next day. Service was friendly without being overbearing. Plenty of parking in the back. Discount price fixe dinner menu offered Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 - 6:00. Reservations recommended. Had dinner here last night for the first time. Everything was great from the service to the food. Servers were all friendly and attentive. Water glasses were always filled. Food was delicious. There were four of us. We shared the beet salad and truffle buratta. Both were delicious (i put some buratta on one piece of the complimentary bruschetta and it was so good). I had Chicken Paillard- had vegetable medley instead of mashed potatoes. The rest of my party had chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Pappardelle Siciliana. I only took photos of my food. Everyone loved their meals. Portions were great. Ended the meal with cappuccino and coffee. We went for Mother's Day with my son, his wife, my grandson and my husband and I. The restaurant was beyond crowded and loud. We ordered our food. The prices were higher than usual as we had been there many times before. The service was terrible. I think they were short staffed- the waiters were cleaning the tables. Our dirty plates from appetizers were sitting for a while. Everything that was ordered was watery and tasteless. We had pasta bolognese, fusilli with shrimp And spinach, chicken fingers for my grandson (he refused to eat them- they were tasteless and well done). My son had far disclaimed pasta with lobster and seafood. My dil ordered a salad with salmon - it was drenched in dressing. I'm really disappointed in this place. I won't be coming back. We spent $250 on dinner that was horrible. The waiter never came to see how things were after we were given the main dishes. Not sure he wasn't too busy. Went here today with my family as a treat for my birthday! Casa di Fratelli is located conveniently on Old Country Road and when we walked inside we were impressed with their beautiful Christmas decor (the perk of having a December birthday)! We were promptly greeted by our server who gave quality service throughout our visit. We had the hot antipasto for 4 which came with generous portions of fried calamari, baked clams, etc. Me and my sister both had the chicken monte bianco for our entrees and it was so tender you could cut it with a fork! Our mother had branzino and our father had linguine with lobster and we were wowed by the portion he received! Dessert was delicious as well!! I have eaten both lunch and dinner at Casa di Fratelli and enjoyed it both times. The menu has many options and the food is excellent while the prices are more than fair. We had a party there this past weekend. Since they don't open on Saturdays for lunch we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Everyone enjoyed the food and cozy atmosphere. We were three and all loved it. They put out an Italian bread basket with wrapped pats of butter and one bruschetta per person. We split two starters: lobster bisque soup (with chopped shrimp); and mussels "posilipo" in a soupy tomato sauce. Both were delicious and we used the bread to wipe our plates and bowls. My veal "carciofi" was three small thin cutlets topped with lots of artichokes, heirloom tomatoes, garlic, and almond slivers with sides of mashed potato, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and asparagus, all in a light sauce - wholesome and eye opening, let me devour these popping tastes feeling. My son also had veal cutlets, but in a chestnut sauce with similar results. My wife had the branzino "meuniere" topped with spinach. We were full and couldn't order dessert. Last night I went back for dinner and did the star lite menu. For 35$ I had an app, entree & desert. We ordered all diff apps (3 ppl). Caprese salad, baked clams & pasta fagiole soup. So delicious! Parking lot is in the back of the restaurant. Overall service and staff were good. Fairly large dining room - good for parties. Full bar to watch sports and eat. Started off with complimentary bread. Bruschetta and foccacia were good. Regular bread was on the hard size. Appetizers to share: Grilled octopus was good. Avocado tower was a bit on the bland side though presentation was nice. For entrees, we had farfalle con rabe, duck, chicken francese and lobster ravioli. All were good, however, the lobster ravioli was very thinly filled. That made the dish a bit disappointing. I recently visited Casa di Fratelli for a baby shower of my friend. There are two entrances for the restaurant from the Main Street and the back lot. The restaurant itself is a cozy feel. The main area of the restaurant was sectioned off for the event. We were dining from a preset menu and there were a good amount of options for the guest. They also were nice to make an adjustment for the main if the guest requested it. The guest next to me saw that the menu listed veal parmigiana, but not chicken and they made it for her. The food was very delicious. I had the garden salad for the appetizer then the salmon for the entree. The wait staff was really nice and serviced everyone well. I would probably come back to see how regular dining service is. read more

We came to Casa di Fratelli for Restaurant week and the food was amazing. The place was packed on a Friday might at around 6:30 pm. They have a small parking lot in the back which is very convenient. Our waiter came and introduced himself and said he would come back. Service did take a little longer than usual but that it expected considering how busy they were. The food here is pretty good. The mussels were amongst my favorite. The chicken was also pretty flavorful. We did get some drinks, I wouldn't necessarily come here for drinks and next time I would probably stick to just wine. Located right on Old Country Road across the street from the old Fortunoff's. Plenty of tables with plenty of room between them. They have a great bar with plenty of standing area just to 'hang out.' Our lovely waitress came over to our table right after we sat down to introduce herself and take a drink order. Moments later, bread was on the table along with an table order of bruschetta. We came during restaurant week so we were given the abbreviated menu from which to order. We started out with an order of Baked Clams and Muscles. I could have made them my dinner. Both just so good. My wife ordered Pork Chop and I had the Sole Fancaise. Both dishes were OUTSTANDING. I mean over the top great! My wife's pork chop was cooked perfectly and was tender and tasty with a rich marsalla sauce. My sole francaise was amazing from the size of the piece of fish to the freshness and overall cooking. When I checked with the owner he explained that he does not alter the portion size during restaurant. He wants people to get the full experience, not a reduced one. Pulling up to this place the exterior looks unassuming. Once you walk in, it's the total opposite. I was happily surprised with the vibe. On this Friday evening in October 2021, the dimly lit bar area was already filled to capacity. The dining room, with its contemporary decor, had tables filled with happy, chatty diners. Towards the back of the dining room, our team of smiling, co-workers congregated and milled around the fairly spacious 18 person table setup. This restaurant is the type that if one table is celebrating a birthday or special occasion all patrons are a part of that celebration. For instance, it seemed the entire restaurant chimed in for some unknown diners 'Happy Birthday to you...' Plus, at our table the Guest of Honor had to stand up and take a subtle bow as all the diners cheered on this evenings milestone. Pretty cool. Food was fair. Everyone seemed to enjoy their massive entrees. Our one waiter, plus one server, handled our crowd effortlessly. No glass went unfilled, plates served and cleared without any intrusion. Casa di Fratelli brings the aesthetics of a run of the mill fine dining establishment. White table cloths, classical pictures, multiple forks for your different meals, yet it doesn't fail to deliver from a bang for buck approach. The portion sizes are enormous for the entrees (except for the penne ala vodka) and you really can't go wrong here. The main dock on its Potential five star review is the time it takes to get your food (it's on the slower side...!). And partially the quality of execution on a couple of items that was served. Let's dive deep into what we had! Appetisers: 1) avocado tower - 3/5 - no wow factor here, tastes as it looks, could use a bit more Acidity and flavour 2) Grilled Octopus - 4/5 - grilled well and spot on, the pieces are scattered throughout and a bit inconsistent though 3) baked clams - 4/5 - your classics stuffed baked clams 4) lobster bisque - 4.5/5 - definitely get this! You get small bits of shrimp and it can be considered on the salty side, but it pairs extremely well with bread that they provide you 5) Calamari - 4/5 - standard, can't go wrong here Entrées: 1) lobster linguine - 4.5/5 - super large portion, you get half a lobster, a lot of mussels and other bits 2) Sole Francesce - 4.5/5 - cooked spot on and to perfection, the only dock is on the lemon, adding it kills the dish with acid, lemon squeezer beware!! 3) braised beef - 4.5/5 - stewed beef left on bone, falls off nicely! I have been to this restaurant once before and I thought the food was average. Well I was wrong. The food was below average. After an afternoon of Black Friday shopping. I decided to give this restaurant another try. The restaurant's interior was clean and modern. Nothing extraordinary. A TV showing a basketball game was on over an empty bar. My gal pal ordered the lobster bisque. It was the special soup of the day. I saw on the special menu that it was top with shrimp. I said why is the lobster bisque topped with shrimp. My fried calamari arrived hot and fresh but had way too many tentacles. About ten minutes later the lobster bisque arrived. The soup was very hot but it was lacking in taste. The soup did not have any seafood taste. The soup had a watery texture not like a bisque. The one shrimp was the only seafood flavor I tasted. Next my gal pal ordered the veal chestnut. Veal scaloppine with mushrooms and chestnuts. The veal was pounded so thin that it was like a White Castle hamburger. I have never seen veal pounded so thin. The veal was smothered in mushrooms. She couldn't find the veal under the pile of sauce and mushrooms. I ordered another special Pork Chop Pistachio. Supposed to be encrusted with pistachios. It had pistachios and a light cranberry sauce. The pork chop was double cut. The meat was dry. The cherry brandy sauce lacked flavor. Then my gal pal had so much mushrooms on her plate she asked the waiter to wrap it up. She wanted to toss some pasta with the mushrooms for lunch the next day. After I paid the bill I asked the waiter where my leftover mushrooms were. He ran back to the kitchen to get it. Shaking my head. I live in the neighborhood and this is was my first visit to this establishment. The decor is nice but not sure what it poked like before covid. The staff was very welcome and nice. We were seated immediately on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They brought bread to the table and I love a nice piece of bread lol. The basket was nice and the bread with crispy on the outside and soft delicious inside. My husband had the shrimp oreganata and I had a salad. The shrimp was cooked well and the flavors were on point. He enjoyed his dish. I had a nice fresh salad with cheese and cranberries, it was a balanced salad. Great little spot with a very unassuming exterior - we stopped in here for dinner one night during a business trip after making a reservation a few hours prior. We were seated promptly and attended to quickly. They brought out 3 different kinds of bread, which were amazing. We started with the grilled octopus - it was grilled perfectly, but a little more charred than I would usually go for. The red sangria was just alright as it was definitely too far on the sweet side for me. I still give 5 stars because I really think those are just personal preference and may be exactly to someone else's liking. For my entree, I ordered the pistachio and cranberry pork chop off the special menu - outstanding. I'm definitely hoping to duplicate it at home, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. They served it with some mashed potatoes that had a light crust on them, and a pile of steamed veggies. I wish they would have included a fresh vegetable like asparagus with it, but I certainly wasn't complaining. When we finished we noticed that staff was cleaning up, so they were evidently closed but didn't say anything to us as we finished our meal with a few other tables. As we were leaving, we got about half way down the block on the way back to our hotel when our waitress came running up to us to deliver my colleague's to-go box that he had left on the table. This was so above and beyond, it really shows how much they care about their customers. If I'm ever back in the area, this will be a must-visit. read more

Really a 3.5 experience, but can't do half stars on Yelp, and I don't feel it was worth rounding up. Came here on New Year's Eve with a friend. We had an early dinner reservation, and were seated promptly. When we sat down we were given a bread basket, butter and some bruschetta. The bread basket was pretty basic. The bruschetta was good. They were only serving off the New Year's Eve me h they had put together. So we weren't able to get things that we wanted off the regular menu that we looked at before arriving. Prices were also higher on the holiday menu, but that's expected. To drink I had a Peroni and my friend had Zinfandel. They didn't have a lot of (good) beers to chose from at all. No drink menu either for speciality cocktails or drinks. For an appetizer we shared baked clams. Although small, they were good. The breadcrumbs were nice and a nice crunch. I did find it odd that the sauce the clams were sitting in was overpowering with lemon. Not the type of sauce I'm used to when getting baked clams. For my entree, I forgot the name of it, but it was tasty. It was seared chicken with mozzarella and shrimp on a bead of spinach. The sauce was a white wine sauce. It came with a scoop of mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes seemed out of place. I have never gotten mashed potatoes at an Italian restaurant before. I am not a fan of them at all, so I can't talk about the flavor. My friend ordered chicken martini. I never thought I'd say chicken and martini in the same sentence. She said it was good and tender. I couldn't even tell you what it was though. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. For dessert she ordered creme brûlée. They didn't "fire" it at the table and it didn't crack when she took the first bite. I ordered a cannoli. I was expecting a normal sized cannoli, considering the $8 price tag. What came out was two little and thin cannolis. Very overpriced for what was served. Other than the dessert, the rest of the meal was delicious and worth the money. Came in to participate in restaurant week last minute with my sister after work. We made a 7:30pm -last possible reservation since they close at 8:30pm. We were greeted and seated in less than a minute. The waitress was quick and to the point which I appreciated. We ordered from prix fix menu $42 for an appetizer, Main course and dessert. The appetizers and entrees were received in a timely manner and the food was excellent. When it came time to order dessert, three ordered special coffees, one ordered nothing and my husband and I ordered coffee and dessert. The three special coffees arrived and then our waiter disappeared. About 20 minutes later we caught just eye and asked about our desserts and coffees and he looked at us bewildered. So my husband said to forget it and just bring the check. I can't imagine what would happen if there were more than two tables occupied! Normally a decent restaurant in which we have been going for years, today on Mother's Day they dropped the ball. We were there almost 2 1/2 hours and after initially ordering drinks, our food just never came. The restaurant didn't seem overly packed so I'm not sure why. After an hour we had to ask where our food was, and again after an hour and a half. No one seemed to have any idea when we would get it. When it finally arrived, 2 people out of 7 enjoyed their meals. The salmon was so dry I had to drink water to swallow it an it had almost no flavor, the shrimp scampi had a very watered down sauce, and the halibut was so salty it went uneaten . We waited so long that an early person in our party left to sit in the car while the rest of us finished. We asked for the bill while we were still eating to ensure that wouldn't be another line wait, but we were wrong. They asked us if we'd like dessert and we told them not after 2 1/2 hours. They did say it was on the house but at that point we just wanted to leave and refused. My mother in law was so excited to try this restaurant and I felt safe because we had ate there for years. Great restaurant- good food, nice staff and huge portions! I had the lobster ravioli, a special that week, and it was amazing. The lobster flavor came out so well in the sauce, as well. My son had the chicken Parmesan and the portion was humongous, he could've eaten it for two more meals! The marinara on the chicken Parmesan was also really good, and had a nice "homemade" feel to it. They also give out a unique bruschetta with focaccia bread which was a great start to our meal.
