My only draw back was there was no signage for the strawberries. We did not get to that part. However, there was plenty activities and fun for the kiddos. Live music, slushies alcohol/non alcohol, food trucks, and animals. For those that wanted to rest or eat there was a pavilion with plenty of tables and chairs. I know on during the fall there are even more seasonal activities to include pumpkin patch and hayrides. I will definitely make an effort to stay in touch with events here. Was definitely relaxing.

I contacted them in April and they said they would come out once the spring shrubs came into the nursery. I had to follow up with them repeatedly and they began to be no-responsive to my calls and texts, and hoping I would go away. Realizing I wasn't going away, they showed up unannounced at 6:30 one morning and rapidly replacing th 4 shrubs that had died. I went outside to say good morning and was pretty much ignored. They clearly were unhappy to have to return. We had a poor experience with them and do not recommend them.

They had been to a wedding where they were served Dangerously Delicious Pie, a DMV classic. On Main St just west of the B&O Museum, we passed the Old Ellicott City Farmers Market in Tiber Park. And there they were: Dangerous Pies!!! I dropped everyone off and parked about a quarter mile away in the big lot west of Old Columbia Pike. It's the biggest parking lot nearby, and free :-), or you can hunt through a couple of other nearby smaller free and paid lots. There's around ten vendors, fruits and veggies of course, flowers, fresh-baked breads, and fresh-roasted coffee beans and beverages. We got sandwiches from Le Table: a classic ham gruyere béchamel Croque Monsieur on soft sweet brioche, and a turkey egg cheese on flakey buttery croissant. Also a tender bacon egg and cheddar breakfast crepe from Crepe Shoppe. All of them were made with tasty fillings and fresh bread. We got a thick soft chocolate-chip oat cookie from Bitty Bread. And then our real target, the pies! We had tart sweet yellow (not-bright-green) key lime in a "yummy yummy" crumbly crust, and sweet apple in a flaky-crust as good as my grandma's (almost :-). Pies as good as they remembered from the wedding. Pie pie pie pie pie! We hadn't been to this market before. I think it started just last May! It's nice when guests remind you to visit cool local events like this. The Old Ellicott City Farmers Market runs Saturdays 9-1 until Oct 25th.

We grabbed a large round loaf of The Breadery's tangy crusty soft sourdough bread. So scrumptious! We've made chicken salad sandwiches, tuna salad sandwiches, avocado toast, toast and eggs, ... And we've indulged in several snacks of plain buttered sourdough toast. This is so delicious! One Rock Farmacy is that little red stand-alone barn-shaped BIPOC-owned produce store in the southeast corner of the huge parking lot ("Lot D") off of Main Street and Old Columbia Pike. They have great fresh organic produce and herbs from their 2.5-acre hand-tilled Clarksville farm, plus honey, sauces, granola, fresh flowers, and more. You can join their CSA, and I've noticed them previously at a couple of Howard County farmers' markets. When we're not shopping in downtown Oella getting delicious burgers and fresh meats and breads, we now have found a super-convenient place in downtown EC to get that wonderful Breadery bread, Fri-Sun, 12-6:30pm (Apr 2026)

It's seasonal, right now carrying great corn and tomatoes (not Jersey Beefsteak, but like them), cucumbers, and peaches (and a few other things). The tomatoes and corn are grown out back. Ripe now (August) and really delicious! Don't refrigerate the tomatoes--just buy what you'll use. Two recipes--coarsely chopped tomatoes, vidalias, and feta cheese, salt and pepper and olive oil, amounts your choice. Or slice ripe tomatoes about 1/2 inch thick, put them on an oil-wiped cookie sheet, drizzle with olive oil and salt and bake at 300 until dried (about 3 hours). You've got "sun dried" tomatoes.
