I went with my sisters and we had the fried chicken sandwich, a shrimp basket with waffle fries and some coneys. Everything was great! Not greasy at all and the root beer was also really good. The food was ok, but I definitely wouldn't come back again and I personally wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody. The burger patty was bland and super greasy. They put a lot of onion on their burgers, so if you don't like onion that much, ask for light or no onion. The homemade root beer tasted like it was full of artificial vanilla. Some people may find this ok, but it made my stomach hurt and made my husband almost puke. The chili cheese fries were the worst part. The chili was bland for the most part. The only strong flavor it had was a super sweet ketchup flavor. This seems to be a common complaint about their chili. The good parts about this place are that the food comes out fast and that the place looked decently clean on the outside (not sure about the inside). read more

Vince's food truck came out to our VBS family night, and they were a hit with kids and adults alike. The 2 young men running the truck were very polite, patient and service was great. Lots of variety in a spot that has been in Monroe since 1955. They have coneys, burgers, gyros, fried shrimp, salads, fried mushrooms and mini tacos. They make their own root beer and you can have a small root beer float for $1.50. They do have a nice picnic area by the river, so points for atmosphere and the staff is nice and quick. But for my money, I prefer the Monroe Drive In because the Monroe has real glass mugs and root beer tastes better in glass! read more

The big debate in Monroe is which dog is top dog. This place or Monroe's original on the other side of the Rasin River. The original Coney island restaurant down town Monroe was hands down better than these two. Sad to say that it is gone. But of the two that remain, I prefer this place. The chili dog is only 75 cents on Monday. Not your clasic greek style chili that you get in Detroit. It is a one of a kind flavor. But when you have been eating these since childhood, it's a taste of the past. They haven't changed at all. The Coney you ate forty years ago taste just like the one today. So when I get back from Texas , I always stop in to get my fix. Five stars for keeping it gong all these years. read more

Love this place! It is a small drive in that you would not notice if someone didn't point it out to you. They have AWESOME food. Their chili dogs are much different than the typical Detroit Coney dog, but it is a nice change. The chili is sweet and it compliments that hot dogs very well. Their Root Beer is the best ever! They make it fresh daily, so it tastes different every time that we go there, but that's not a bad thing. I also love their grilled chicken sandwich, BBQ beef, Chili cheese fries, and burgers. Good food and nice waitresses. Drive-in through that offers really good fried food and such. There's usually a pretty girl who will take your order and bring it out to you.
