Other rooms may be larger. Comfortable outdoor furniture on wrap-around front and side porch (pic uploaded) Breakfast is European-style buffet with assorted breads, juices, yogurt, lox, ham, and fresh fruit. Served 8:30-10:00. Many coffee places within walking distance if you want your coffee at other hours. Tasty quiche was made from scratch by Diane and ingredients changed the next day. $450 for 2 nites with breakfast, June weekend, including tax. WiFi included. Fun and easy town to walk around. Ideal choice if interested in the local wineries. Unsuitable for young children due to some fragile items in the open areas. Tip: you can also get to Greenport from NYC via bus or LIRR train (three trains a day from Penn Station, $25 one-way, peak fare, 3 hour trip) or take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London CT, which we used to avoid bridge and LIE congestion, for about $67 with car and two adults.

The wrap around porch is awesome and I can see it being a great place to hang out and drink some wine on a warm day. There is a great sitting area on the inside as well. Everybody we ran into was very friendly. Our keys and a note were waiting for us when we entered the house and we had a note under our door in the morning with where to leave them. We actually never saw Joan at all during our stay but that was fine. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. My only knock was that the back door was left unlocked. My wife and I tried but could not get the door to lock. I hope it's not left like this every night as that seems like a security hazard. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, we had a great stay.

The grounds are quaint & beautiful, it feels like you're stepping into a home and gardens magazine. They have indoor and outdoor seating, if you have a well behaved furry friend, they are welcome outside. Inside and outside seating is the perfect place to sit back, unwind & order some wine. For our wine tasting I ordered a Summer Flight which consisted of white wines & rosé. My favorite was the Coalescense, we ended up getting two bottles to bring home with us. My husband got the Red Flight. We were more impressed with their white wines than the red, just our personal preference for grown in this area They also have some light bites to order, but we just stuck to wine for this visit. We definitely will be back to this little spot and maybe even stay in the inn, hopefully on a warm day so we can sit outside and spend some more time just taking in the tranquility of this little vineyard.

They recently won an award for one of their wines but that wine wasn't on the tasting menu. They were overwhelmed by the number of people and maybe they hadn't expected that crowd. We ended up leaving after waiting a while to be noticed so we never tried the wine :(

The owners, Dan and Alane, are gracious and warm, lovely and kind. As NYC transplants who have an appreciation for locals and visitors, they are informed about all things North Fork. They are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcomed! The rates are competitive, but the stay is even more worthwhile than we had initially imagined. The Guest House is the epitome of a comfortable country home -- a beautiful dream, to say the least. I ran my hands along the different textural walls and refinished drawer chests. With modern yet rustic aesthetics, the house is bright and breezy and clean. Our queen-size bed is a cloud! We slept so well on both nights and woke up to wholesome and delicious country breakfasts each morning. It is the perfect stay for a weekend getaway. If we were to visit the Long Island wine region again, we will definitely return to the Guest House.
